Under the sink water filter with a tank is a mandatory at this point. During normal times you get clean water whenever you want cheaply and it saves the environment from plastic water bottles. During emergencies you have 3 days of drinking water without even thinking about it.

People in the comments saying people should have prepared for this don’t understand Houston weather. The week before this was 75 degrees with 100% humidity. Then boom. Texas power grid goes down n the coldest winter blast that ever hit Texas rolls through us. How tf you do prepare for that? That’s like telling people in Alaska to prepare for a heat advisory with records breaking high temps. If you weren’t directly affected by the storm and was without power for 48+ hours in below freezing temperatures. Don’t comment on Texas situation.
Could be. 2022 is the date of the return nibiru nears us and causes minor gravitonal issues. The closer it gets it starts getting worse. And i mean like 10x worse.
Texas is literally the only place in the world where wind turbines can't operate in the snow 🤭 you might wanna look a little deeper and ask the questions who told you that and why? Considering wind turbines only account for 10% of Texas power supply you might find there is motive to pass the blame.
This is not a good time to have an electric car because the regular car powered by gasoline can at least provide that temp space to warm up while waiting. Imagine having an electric car and there is no power to charge it.
No preppers? I had food and was in line at a Target to get snacks for a friend who was welcome to my food, but she wanted to go back to her place and didn’t have power for 3 days. We were supposed to be off only 1 day for work, turned into 4 so now it meant, ugh.. have to stock up. No one thought it would be 4 days, and it wasn’t due to the cold. That 4 days off was because our power sources were not winterized. Most of us didn’t know that. Meanwhile back before Harvey we did here that the damns were in need of repair and if they failed certain areas would be devastated. But also, some place outside the 500yr flood zone got flooded... were we prepared- not really, but also dry land and people with dry homes and electricity and water could help each other out. 75% of Houstonians were without electricity or running water yesterday- hard to help each other out and give each other a warm place to stay when 75% don’t have what is needed. Either their area still had power or they have GENERATORS. Big corporations have the funds to purchase generators to PROTECT their investments. They are also regulated by the health department to maintain their refrigerated and frozen foods at certain temperatures. If they don't have generators and lose power for too long, they can no longer use the same food that dropped temperature too low according to the health department. Then, they would need to discard all that food and close their store until the light comes back on. Then, they would still need to RESTOCK their food supply before opening up again. Do you have any idea what that will do to their profits?? Not to mention that their employees will be out of work. THATS why they still have power. They're called back up generators for a reason. i stayed home all week, i wouldn't say i prepped, i just had stuff around the house.
like a FULL pantry and a freezer full of meat and rechargeable flashlights and a Milwaukee m18 battery that i would use to charge my stuff. I also had cases of water in my garage.
i was surprisingly well prepared, i even found some old MRE's my cousin gave me after they graduated from air force basic training.
the only thing i don't have was a jacket, i have never experienced a winter like this in south texas.
That lady could survive for a month without food
I just thinking 🤔😂😆
All I can think of is how busy all the "essential workers" are and that they probably dont have electricity at home but in Texas they don't want to pay them $15/hr. Hypocritical Texans as usual.
That's a typical land lunatic liberal comment! You think small businesses can afford $15 per hr! That will bankrupt them, they will have to cut jobs and raise prices! Get real!
@@saltlifess6226 it's amazing to me that non-business owners who couldn't pass an economics class today feel so strongly about something they dont understand. It's not simple algebra my friend.
I live in Dallas , in Summer Time when it rained a lot, for many days and multiple times my power would stop working, then like Magic. No more power outages. No problems in the winter either. Because some of us had to get better or newer ( I think) Machines. These Electric Companies need to get Sued on Discovery and find out who profited on shorting the people in Texas
Not just houston. We have no water here in Preston Oklahoma an I have 3kids they have water tank trucks but it's across the highway an I can't get my truck out of the driveway. Kinda screwed here to not just Texas. We got hit bad to.
I appreciate the food places opening up but my concern is these restaurants are limited on water.
GOD BLESS ALL PEOPLE AND ANIMALS GREAT AND SMALL 🙏🙏🙏
Praying for Texas I'm in Tucson az
Wouldn’t hurt the lady in pink to skip a meal or two.
Damn that was my comment haha
God bless us here in Texas.
Could use generaters to recharge your phones or tablets or to us any electronics to recharge. Also if there's no water. Get a bucket of snow or some iceacles to boil on the stove to get water. Could use to wash up or to drink just to survive. Even could use the water from melting the snow by making worm meals to survive.
Under the sink water filter with a tank is a mandatory at this point. During normal times you get clean water whenever you want cheaply and it saves the environment from plastic water bottles. During emergencies you have 3 days of drinking water without even thinking about it.
PRAYING TO GOD FOR ALL!
After corona I believe prepping should be mandatory for everyone I’m use to going to the store and buying 6 packs of water at a time once corona hit there was either no water or a limit two per person. So when ever I don’t see the limit sign I get as many as I can take back home
Retail workers are the true heroes
And people are still voting against getting these workers a living wage.
Minimum skills, minimum pay.
@@sermike16 they should just quit tbh
Oh no, a line at Taco Bell.
Soon to be a line to 🚽
Propane was also hard to find
I get my propane from Strickland Propane in Arlen, Texas.
Is wood not an option, or you have a specific purpose?
I use the out door two stove burners and since It was cold out side I figure I would knock out my cooking quickly to go back inside so I find the propane option the quicker and more reliable
Yeah...... Where was king of the hill when we needed him the most?? 🤔
Nobody has a gas grill?? 😲🤔. I'll pray for y'all. Everyone should have at least a week worth of food and water and a way to cook it. Time to wake up.
Hahaha... yes people have gas grills. People who live in apartments may not have a gas grill though. A weeks worth of food, you think people were only at the store for food. Propane, fire wood, batteries, tape to fix busted pipes, and nothing else to do but stand in line and get some snacks or something non essential as we wait out the cold and hope our power and water comes back on.

We are Americans, we can land a rover on Mars but can't prepare our own meals at home.
Blame the Feminists on that one... They don't like STEM and they can't cook anything that isn't Ramen.
Its almost like they can't cook their food because the power is out. Common sense much?
@@ryanbone3537 Rocket stoves, camp stoves, etc... You CAN eat hot dogs and canned food without heating it. Refrigeration is not an issue, it's cold outside and food will keep if you have it outdoors, just keep dogs and cats away from it. Store it from hanging it on a tree or off the roof with the icicles / cold air. But honestly anything in the fridge should have been eaten in the first few days, then you go to canned goods. And you RATION your food and water.
With all these video games on post apocalyptic events, why aren't there more preppers out there? It's a natural thing for Americans for forever, the Pioneer Spirit and being prepared.
Ever since the Boy Scouts turned into the Scouts and Feminists overran it, seems no one is a prepper anymore.
They can play video games!
They have SuperBowl!
But they haven't learned to cook?
Hummm
Stop the cap 🧢 I haven’t eaten 2 days 😂
Same bro this kinda funny tho I like living on the bare minimum
She lying !!
Hot meal
the human body can survive 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, and 3 mins without oxygen. People need to prioritize getting water then insulating their homes or cars.
Shiiiiiiiit .. That tubby lady could live 6 months without a burger 😄 🤣 😂 😆
I heard that gun sales went through the roof! 🤣🤣
Before 2020 election guns/ammos where flying off the shelves. Then some stores are out stock. I haven't check lately so I can't tell if it's been restocked.
No wonder! Looting will start just for water and food
Shout out to the girl with the baby yoda beanie
this is sad people are literally suffering
Search for food & water? What are they stuck in the desert?
People in the comments saying people should have prepared for this don’t understand Houston weather. The week before this was 75 degrees with 100% humidity. Then boom. Texas power grid goes down n the coldest winter blast that ever hit Texas rolls through us. How tf you do prepare for that? That’s like telling people in Alaska to prepare for a heat advisory with records breaking high temps. If you weren’t directly affected by the storm and was without power for 48+ hours in below freezing temperatures. Don’t comment on Texas situation.
Does anybody get feel that maybe.......This is the beginning of the end??
Could be. 2022 is the date of the return nibiru nears us and causes minor gravitonal issues. The closer it gets it starts getting worse. And i mean like 10x worse.
This is eye opening for electric company to invest in generators for power failure like this.
SEE RESTURANTS ARE ESSINTIAL!!! YOU WATCHING CALI? OR NY?
I heard a lot of the wind turbines froze. Not such a great idea after all wind power it seems.
Texas is literally the only place in the world where wind turbines can't operate in the snow 🤭 you might wanna look a little deeper and ask the questions who told you that and why? Considering wind turbines only account for 10% of Texas power supply you might find there is motive to pass the blame.
People laught at preppers. Who laughing now
I'm a prepper and fully agree 👍
@ I’m laughing the loudest 🤣
Fire the governor
This is not a good time to have an electric car because the regular car powered by gasoline can at least provide that temp space to warm up while waiting. Imagine having an electric car and there is no power to charge it.
Houstonians are NOT preppers!
too comfy in the city relying on the government lol
No?
Reports of Cannibalism?
That's crazy man.
Where are these restaurants getting their water from, cause our water is no good
Hummm!
Bruh ... There is literally nothing at the food markets.
...
shouldve got it before you needed it
we are a country of over consumption ; instead of limiting their food intake, people continue to over indulge....we should go to one meal a day to conserve food and learn to live with limited supply instead of take , take, take

Everything Is Bigger In Texas , Lesson Be Prepared 🤔
I hope all the places don't get robbed. These fools out here robbing taco trucks and anyone walking around.
These comments are full of the most insensitive people.
Doesn't help with the stereotypes of Texas. As if the badly-designed power grid isn't bad enough.
Power at McDs, but not at home. A LOT of people in Texas having a very skewed set of priorities. Why do you think McDs has power, and the average Texan doesn't? McDs isn't nearly as arrogant as the average Texan and likely planned for such an occurrence, rather just pointlessly brag about being a Texan. One of the Texas senators is a Canadian, ask him to come over and help keep your house warm. Wait, if you have no power you can't be reading this. Good, reading to you is probably a waste of time anyway.
Please, can't they send them emergency food and those below zero sleeping bags? I'll donate towards it. I hate to see all these people so cold and hungry.

Ain’t nothin but a Covid party 😱
I think they have more to worry about than covid at this point. If the state I was living in was going through a natural disaster I would go help my neighbor that's what people are supposed to do. I think they are more worried about freezing to death at the moment why does everything have to be about covid or politics. Yes, covid can be bad but freezing to death can be much worse for people I wish everybody in the south stay safes and keeps warm.
Omg all these hillbillies in the comments bragging because they finally get to use stuff they had 20 years are annoying af. It's not about that it's about incompetent republicans who brag about Texas but Texas gets knocked on its knees with a little snow and ice . THAT'S the issue not whether people have all that stuff rich people can buy . Gtfoh with that brah we not impressed with your beef jerky I got some of that too
People of Texas! Joe Biden signed the Paris Treaty for Climate, thus prepare for frosty winters!
This looks as bad as Kerrville. OMG
The grid shuts down low income areas but all the damn fast food chains are still warm and powered... Seems kinda evil to me? Your food and family can rot and die but hey... You can still get a Big Mac! WTF?!
Count your blessings that many places invest in these emergency devices. 🙄
