Brother, these people come with a camera and showcase poverty of our continent to embarrass us in front of the world. They are not here for anything positive, for centuries they have only Brought negativity to the continent. Don’t be a fool and think they are here for good and if you see one of them with a camera they should be met with hostility.
We are both created in God's image, and as such I have no desire to embarrass you. I have always been respectful to the South Sudanese in my videos and blogs.
south sudan has the potential to become well developed nation the citzens will need good education and more money and have better president than the one they have now so they can have good management for the country
You are totally correct. South Sudan has so much potential. I saw some progress when I visited this time. Unfortunately none of it was coming from the government.
Nation building takes a bit of time. This is a relatively a young nation. Patience, good governance is what it will take. The the road to prosperity is long and difficult. But South Sudan will get there. Africa will get there
The sad thing is that south sudan had a potential to be a spectacular modern country, but they wasted it all on endless war & probably corruption. So all the fight that their founders fought for is totally wasted. Let's hope that the next generation will work for the good of the country.
I am Vietnamese in 2015,,,2016. Worked in juba nam su dan,,,, also worked in malut, but because the North and South shot too hard,,, again south su dan civil war. So I returned to Vietnam
@@wollwerthimagery6267 THat is what I thought. Maybe because of the war. ALL the people that I met from South Sudan were so beautiful and their skin color is just wow!
@wollwerthimagery6267 Juba has a lot of beautiful streets, luxury hotels (5-star) and a lot of beautiful buildings that you for some reason decided to leave out. So next time try to tell the right story and show the outside world the whole of Juba and South Sudan.
I had expected that you take us through the airport (giving account of first impression), drive-thru the down town, administrative /residential areas, highlighting the major streets, buildings and monuments (if any) ….touching on the good, ugly and bad ….the slums and recent development in term of infrastructure since independence. What I can see are the same snapshots to emphasize/ reinforce held narratives / perceptions. Shame.
Much as I would have liked to do a comprehensive tour of Juba, filming in Juba is very tenuous. Police and military presence is everywhere, and if you even think about taking a camera out, even a phone camera, in the airport, they will arrest you. So I shot what I could in the time I was there. I can tell you that there have been some infrastructure improvements in the past few years. More roads are paved, the Juba-Bor highway is a huge improvement, and some good hotels have gone up.
Thank you for not judging the country
I've been to your country many times, and love the people I spend time with.
What do you mean. Blk is always beautiful!!!

What an amazing video thanks for the great content.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video ! perhaps the only recent view of Juba
Yes. It is exceptionally hard to get video in Juba. Certainly harder than it used to be. What is your experience there?
@@wollwerthimagery6267 I havent been to SS, but im quite interested in its development and politics. I would love to visit one day though.
Be prepared should you decide to visit. It's not an easy trip.
Thanks for sharing , nice video.
Glad you liked it
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Nice video bro. Am also a youtuber based in South Sudan. This is so nice. I have subscribed to your channel. Hope to meet you when come back to Juba.
Hey, Mawut. Glad to meet you online. I subscribed to your channel as well. Looks like you have some great content.
@@wollwerthimagery6267 yeah bro. I am also a content creator. I like your contents too. Nice to meet you.

If they had a better president, the west would just kill him/her
1:12 I bet that Landcruiser with bulletholes has quite a story.
I would imagine as well. There are a lot of vehicles that have been wrecked, burned, or otherwise abandoned in various conflicts over the years.
The sad thing is that south sudan had a potential to be a spectacular modern country, but they wasted it all on endless war & probably corruption. So all the fight that their founders fought for is totally wasted. Let's hope that the next generation will work for the good of the country.
That is entirely accurate. Hoping things turn around there.
I'm surprised you were not arrested for taking pictures there.
He paid for that

Yes. I am only there a week or two at a time. I imagine living there would be very difficult for a foreigner.
My country is undeveloped and the government is serious in what it takes for development ❤
I pray that some day your nation can thrive and prosper.
If only the west doesn't bother
It would've been better without the music in the background...
Thank for covering, but there a more beautiful things to be considered too. Thank
Thanks a lot. What would you have liked to have seen?

There are no nice buildings? No tourists?
There are a few nice buildings, but really no tourists. People don't go to South Sudan as tourists.

They most certainly are. It's a fascinating culture.
To bad I can't see pyramids in south sudan😞
There are no pyramids in South Sudan. Only North Sudan and Egypt.

Thanks. I very likely will be back.
