  • Many think high CRS are due to LMIA. While LMIA can boost a candidate's score, there are several other critical factors at play. Whether you're an immigration candidate or just curious about the process, gain clear insights into what really influences these scores.

I opted in for the work permit extension back in May 2023 and only get 18 months from the approval date. However as per regulations, the 18 months should have been from the day my work permit expires. Any idea if the government will rectify this error which has impacted thousands of workers or if we can submit a new application to explain our situation? Will appreciate your advice. Thank you

You need to understand the score will remain 520+ in the entire year. Mainly it will be between 520-545. This is bitter true which you have to finally accept. I am not spreading negativity, I am preparing you of what will actually happen !

Sir more than 65% of Foreign candidates have 50 Points LMIA + CEC candidates.
That’s why the number of candidates ranging from 501-600 are high.
    They have no other options.

I studied STEM my whole life, but my NOC isn't STEM cz when I took the job I thought getting a Teer-2 job is fine, cz there was no category. But now, anyone who never studied STEM, but having only 6 months of work experience in STEM NOC is a better candidate than me despite having lower scores than me. This is a ridiculous system. It needs to be fixed. Whatever going on since last year is a total mess, nor benefiting the candidates, neither Canada.

  • @AntiDegenerate1971

End of the canadian dream is here for many immigrants, I don't believe the score will go down below 500 this year. It might go down to the 490-500 range in the second part of 2025, but that's about it. Canada doesn't want more immigrants, the healthcare system, housing, affordability.... everything is collapsing due to unsustainable levels of immigration. And canada has finally had enough of it.
