@@siiiuuuuu887 They asked me a couple of general ones but informal so they don’t write the answers down, but the way you talk/answer will make an impression For formal (take notes) it was A time you worked in a team and achieved something A time you dealt with increased pressure A time you went above and beyond to help a colleague I answered it based on my experience and then related it back to how it translates to tesco
Just had my Tesco interview, she asked about 5 questions: Tell me about yourself. What's a time where you showed teamwork. What's a time where you performed under pressure. When have you set yourself goals to achieve. Something to do with helping/explaining things to colleagues (I just said being scouts patrol leader)

@@Jadieexx don't be nervous just be yourself in there. Do some research on the values and try to mention. They asked why do i want to work at tesco. Thank you. My advice is don't say the answers word for word. Make it your own. Be confident and friendly...good luck!
Just had a Tesco interview 2-3 hours ago and the only question from this video that was asked was tell me a bit about yourself. It felt like I studied for a biology exam and when i got there it was a chemistry exam and then when i opened the booklet it was a physics exam. Edit: and if anyone was wondering, no, I didn’t get the job

They asked questions like what situation where you were under pressure did you handle well, can you tell me a time where you worked as part of a team, the questions were based on things that you’ve meant to of done in previous jobs so she understood that it was difficult for me to answer.
I had my interview today! They asked me only 2 questions: 1. what do u know about tesco? 2. What could you bring to tesco? I panicked & said that they pride themselves on diversity & inclusivity - which is fine but I also could've mentioned their core values that I knew of too for 2nd question i just mentioned a strength I have & then gave an example I'll update my comment when I hear back from them! I have another interview tomorrow too with their competitor 😳

Just got the job. None of these questions came up for me however I learnt the whole first question answer and it helped me a lot when answering scenario questions.
@@scrali1466 so he had like a booklet of questions based on different topics and there was 4 questions on each topic, he had to choose which one to ask me. Think the topics were like customers, sales targets, teamwork and about myself. They weren’t hard questions at all it was stuff like ‘tell me a time you worked well within a team’ and ‘tell me a time you had to overcome a challenge’

Had my interview yesterday... went pretty well! only two of these questions came up during the interview but this video was very helpful as I was able to answer the questions with ease.

Had my Tesco interview today and I thought it went pretty well. Only asked one question here but it’s fine I still managed to come up with answers for the other questions on the spot and I was only asked like 4 questions, and a few simple questions on whether I’m ok with working Christmas Eve, Christmas, bank holiday etc. The lady who interviewed me was really nice and just wanted to know more about me as a person, among other things too. Hopefully I get the job. They said I might get an email either tomorrow or the day after on whether I get hired so I hope I get the job 🙏
@@Anna-xh6nc they asked: Tell me about yourself? What’s an example of good customer experience you received? What’s an example of bad customer experience you received? What can you bring to the team? And some simple questions like “are you ok with working on Christmas, Boxing Day etc?” Didn’t get asked many questions. The interviewer just wanted to know me as a person. Never asked about my previous work experience or anything to weed me out and I hope the same goes for you so good luck! You got this! 🙌

this was useful (kinda) they just want to know about your personality and the way you are with work tbh. had my first interview EVER today with Tesco n they hired me on the spot. make sure you’re confident and talkative but professional at the same time.

Got my interview today I've had interviews with them before but been unsuccessful, once due to inexperience and the other due to working another job, wanting Tesco's part time job to be my second This time I am fully trained and fully flexible to work with them Fingers crossed I'm successful this time I am confident within myself ^^

@@livxo7546 She only asked “tell me about yourself?” The rest were different like “tell me a time you had to work in a team and work by yourself” sort of thing. I didn’t have any experience so I talked about school, college and work experience for those questions.

@@CareerVidz I had an interview scheduled for 00:40 at Stretford Extra. When I arrived, everything was closed, and there were no vehicles in the parking area. I was very worried and spent half an hour looking for someone, hoping that someone might come, but no one did. Eventually, I returned home without having my interview. I am amazed and confused about what happened. I received emails and text messages confirming that I had an interview. Why did this happen?I applied for night jobs and am in great need of employment. What makes you suitable for this role? What can you provid us in return and what is the greatest thing you have done for someone else. @@princessmadz822 they asked me about myself, why I wanted to work for Tescos, what my greatest strengths are, something in a previous job that I accomplished, a time I exceeded a customers expectations, and of course the classic "questions for me?" At the end. Always have a question or two and take notes on some paper need be!

They asked me two of these questions on Wednesday. I don't have a lot of experience but I do know how to stack shelfs and prefer working in the warehouse! Ironically they assumed I was not good enough for that department so I was offered tills instead. Which I never once mentioned to them because I don't feel comfortable doing them. Isn't it funny how someone has known you for 5 minutes can decide what you should do even after you tell them what your experiences are!! Safe to say I did not get the job. It is poor management anyway!! I was meant to have the interview a different day but they f*cked it up and made me come in another day. Safe to say I'm not in a very good mood.

@@AisosaJohn-pq2zc Hi they didn’t ask me any questions over the phone but in the interview they asked describe a time where you were there for someone describe a time where you worked as part of a team describe a time you went above and beyond for a customer describe a time where you stepped in to help a coworker just be confident and get on with the interviewer and you’ll be fine😌😌
These are just BS expected everyday answers to interview questions. You're not presenting anything new here that will make anyone stand out to an employer in an interview. Its textbook responses on this video. Instead directly answer with descriptions of what job roles and life experiences you have experience in that fits the position you're applying for with Tesco. And stop using exaggerated terms like great and the best to describe your qualities. Its disingenuous and comes across as much in any interview. Your 3 questions for the employer are nonsense to. Instead ask... Do you offer any further training? (Instead of how long is the training for, which comes off as if you dont really want to do it) What further career options do you have available? Is there overtime or extra hours available? And is there career options available for promotion and higher paying jobs within the Tesco company? These questions show your ambition and loyalty to not only work hard but to work for a goal and a target to improve both your work skill and your value for Tesco as an employee. Stay away from textbook responses. Under todays economical climate you're going to be competing with 200-300 other applicants applying for the same position. Dont fit in, stand out. Goodluck with your interviews guys.

I always fail the 11 tesco questionnaire when filling out the forms online . Why is that. They said press Less/More. I press more if a question make more sense. But its the 12 time I failed is that normal? Or do you need to have someone working there to be taking? From uk

Had my Tesco interview today and I thought it went pretty well. Only asked one question here but it’s fine I still managed to come up with answers for the other questions on the spot and I was only asked like 4 questions, and a few simple questions on whether I’m ok with working Christmas Eve, Christmas, bank holiday etc. The lady who interviewed me was really nice and just wanted to know more about me as a person, among other things too. Hopefully I get the job. They said I might get an email either tomorrow or the day after on whether I get hired so I hope I get the job 🙏

Didn’t get asked many questions. The interviewer just wanted to know me as a person. Never asked about my previous work experience or anything to weed me out and I hope the same goes for you so good luck! You got this! 🙌

this was useful (kinda) they just want to know about your personality and the way you are with work tbh. had my first interview EVER today with Tesco n they hired me on the spot. make sure you’re confident and talkative but professional at the same time.

@@CareerVidz I had an interview scheduled for 00:40 at Stretford Extra. When I arrived, everything was closed, and there were no vehicles in the parking area. I was very worried and spent half an hour looking for someone, hoping that someone might come, but no one did. Eventually, I returned home without having my interview.
I am amazed and confused about what happened. I received emails and text messages confirming that I had an interview. Why did this happen?I applied for night jobs and am in great need of employment. Could you please guide me on what to do next?

What makes you suitable for this role? What can you provid us in return and what is the greatest thing you have done for someone else. @@princessmadz822 they asked me about myself, why I wanted to work for Tescos, what my greatest strengths are, something in a previous job that I accomplished, a time I exceeded a customers expectations, and of course the classic "questions for me?" At the end. Always have a question or two and take notes on some paper need be!

what questions did they ask and how many
They asked me two of these questions on Wednesday. I don't have a lot of experience but I do know how to stack shelfs and prefer working in the warehouse! Ironically they assumed I was not good enough for that department so I was offered tills instead. Which I never once mentioned to them because I don't feel comfortable doing them. Isn't it funny how someone has known you for 5 minutes can decide what you should do even after you tell them what your experiences are!!
Safe to say I did not get the job. It is poor management anyway!! I was meant to have the interview a different day but they f*cked it up and made me come in another day. Safe to say I'm not in a very good mood.

Instead directly answer with descriptions of what job roles and life experiences you have experience in that fits the position you're applying for with Tesco.
And stop using exaggerated terms like great and the best to describe your qualities.
Its disingenuous and comes across as much in any interview.
Your 3 questions for the employer are nonsense to.
Instead ask...
Do you offer any further training?
(Instead of how long is the training for, which comes off as if you dont really want to do it)
What further career options do you have available?
Is there overtime or extra hours available?
And is there career options available for promotion and higher paying jobs within the Tesco company?
These questions show your ambition and loyalty to not only work hard but to work for a goal and a target to improve both your work skill and your value for Tesco as an employee.
Stay away from textbook responses.
Under todays economical climate you're going to be competing with 200-300 other applicants applying for the same position.
Dont fit in, stand out.

I always fail the 11 tesco questionnaire when filling out the forms online . Why is that. They said press Less/More. I press more if a question make more sense. But its the 12 time I failed is that normal? Or do you need to have someone working there to be taking?

That you passed the assssement and they will ring you if youve gone onto the interview proces
Do your answers have to be long or short because im worried short answers may not be enough ro persuade the interviewer
Short answers may be OK - just be yourself and you will be fine :)
