I have an idea for a video series that you could do. For each year you’ve lived in your new house, you could do a video entitled, “Major Changes 2016,” “Major Changes 2017,” etc. The yearly recap video could focus on major changes that happened that year, like planting the arborvitae hedge, building the veggie garden, making the west side garden etc. I can imagine you sitting in the sunroom talking about one change from 2017 and why it was important, then some footage airs, then you introduce another change, then the footage airs. It would help long-time viewers remember the progress and it would reveal how the garden used to look for new viewers, who might then go back to the vlog to see the full footage. Thanks for listening to my idea! I thought of it after going back to watch tons of your old videos lately. It’s been awesome to see your beautiful garden progress!

Gorgeous. Shade gardens are my favorite. I think the textural contrasts in a shade garden appeal to me more than the colors of a sunny garden. This bed has both color and texture. Just beautiful.

Your soil always looks so light, fluffy, and easy to work with. I am in a newly built home with 4 inches of “top soil” and then straight clay underneath. Every new plant I put in the ground gets good quality soil but ideally I would love to have fluffy soil like yours. ❤️❤️

Wow, I never thought I could love a trio of SHADE loving perennials this much! :) Truly inspiring!
I dearly wish I had a garden to work in right now, but I live in the city center and don't even have a balcony. Luckily there are some nice parks around here that we can go for a walk in, that really keeps us sane during these times. By watching your channel I have learned about so many plants and it has brought a richness to my life. When I go out for a walk I can point out so many flowers. Our springs seem to always be ahead of yours by a few weeks, narcissus and snake head bulbs are already well past their prime! Really curious to see how yours are doing.
Lots of love to the entire GA family!

Wonderful! I've just gained a new area for shade, as we moved a large woodpile (always dealing with more trees after Winter storms) and we've made a sort of 'wood stack wall' kind of like a rock wall and it's between a trio of very mature cedars, so I am going to do A variety of fern, hosta, and possibly astilbe? Not sure, might just want the layers of green /blue green. I love those ferns though, so I might have changed my mind to these and some of the purple and multi heuchera. So inspirational!
It's SO needed at this time with all that is going on. I have so many veg started and luckily our local box store had some cold crops in so I nabbed some today, as they go fast now! I feel so bad for MI as I have some relatives there as well. Such an odd time. But, let's keep the Garden spirit alive; We gardeners have the right mindset for hard times, we can be the Hope and Cheer for those around us, because we have to see hope in the future as Gardeners, eh? Plant a seed and KNOW there will be flowers and Food that's the spirit we ALL NEED NOW!
Thanks again for all you do and inspire in us all :)

Your videos have inspired me to do major cleanup which was rewarded with new planting. I remember you showing us a new German Sheppard. Where is she now?

Are you going to be edging the brick walk way so you don’t get any of the compost washing down onto the walk way?💚🙃
