No only is it the biggest train station in Europe, it's also still one of the biggest train stations in the world!
This massive central train station is not where you expect. Located in Leipzig Germany, Europe's largest train station is a bit of a hidden gem. Built around the turn of the century this station has history around every train car. Not to mention, on platform 24 it has a number of historic train cars, as well as train engines!

Deutsche Reichsbahn is actually not the builder of this train station. It predates the foundation of Deutsche Reichsbahn by two decades. Prussian Royal Railways and Saxon Royal Railways were building this train station in the first decade of the 1900s to finally get the trains around Leipzig sorted out, as previously, both railway companies were fighting out whose turf Leipzig is. When they finally decided to cooperate, you can tell that neither side wanted to back down on anything, and thus, the project grew larger and larger, because each company wanted to show the other one who's boss.
