Yes, only Premo's translucent doesn't change much because it's quite translucent-y when raw as well, but all the other brands' translucents are opaque when raw and become translucent only after baking.
I love watching all your videos!!! Could you make a video where you demonstrate using the pedicure sander? I purchased one but haven't gotten all the grits yet.
I already did, and actually did one also live. If you go to my channel and look in the playlists tab, you will find a playlist named "sanding and buffing polymer clay"
Beautiful❣️ I was just about to go view some of your Pardo videos and this one popped up in my alerts. I had to watch it and I’m really glad I did. Great ideas for earrings and I love the colors, just beautiful- all of them!!! Thank you for sharing 🙏
@@KalyanaDesignTutorials That may be true? I was buying it from Hobby Lobby..I will order some more and try it out again. I do like the way it cured once it was baked. I think it is a European Brand? Thanks for answering me.
If you were buying it at Hobby Lobby it's definitely old. Yes, it is a European brand. You can get some fresh one from Polyclayplay polyclayplay.com/?aff=2
Yes and yes! Check my videos on sanding and buffing, there's a playlist on my channel page! And you can find the modified pedicure wand (well several of them because the prices fluctuate ) and fine wool mini buffing wheels both at Polyclayplay and on my Influencer store. You can find now both Cernit and Pardo at Polyclayplay, polyclayplay.com/?aff=2
Wow❣️. Is that beautiful shine a result sanding and of buffing or did you use any type of glaze? No sleep for me tonight, I’ve got to stay up and make these earring while I am alone with no distractions. Thanks for the inspiration.
Beautiful! I can’t seem to get the shaving part right. I either don’t impress the design deep enough or too derp🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️bout ready to stop trying this technique🥵
These are beautiful! Since I have only worked with Premo, what are the handling/conditioning differences with Cernit? I know you probably have mentioned the differences with various clays, but am unable to find specific clays in your search of videos just by clay used. Oh dear! Another project for you!!!
Thank you! Cernit is softer, so not really good for canes, but in everything else is much better than Premo. The metallics and translucents especially. And I did do a video about the various clays - I'll probably have to do another one soon due to the fact that new stuff has come on the market. ua-cam.com/video/gCPWxLsmUZU/v-deo.html
I love these! I really liked the shape of the cutter, been looking for some different and unique shapes. Can you suggest where to purchase them? Also, what clay is the strongest when baked? I use premo, have some Kato Clay and femo. I can not make a clay bracelet that won’t break even doing all that is required. Last and best one I wore for a week and it snapped in half! Now I have two pendants. Lol. Love your techniques, really gets me excited to make things. Thanks for any help!
You can get cutters this shape either from Melanie Muir's website www.melaniemuir.com/tools or from Nemravka store, both in Europe. I got mine from Nemravka, and the shipping was more than decent. www.nemravka.cz/en/

I love Cernit clay...it is so firm and hard to condition with my arthritis but I love how stable it is when it bakes
Cernit is a very soft clay, indeed so soft it's not really suitable for caning. Maybe you have some old one?

These are wonderful!! I’m wondering if you can use a layer of resin instead of doing all the sanding and buffing? I’m very lazy lol
Oh ignore me I j saw your buffing video it’s not so hard!
Of course you can!
No it's not. Did you get the modified pedicure wand?
