SailGP is high speed, high tech and high impact. This global sports championship combines cutting-edge tech, iconic global venues, elite athletes and record-breaking speeds to create the most exciting racing on water. Rival teams from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada, France, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Spain battle it out at iconic venues around the world in short, intense races for a total prize pot of $5 million. Teams compete in identical hydrofoiling F50 catamarans that fly above the water at electrifying speeds approaching 100 km/h. Fan-centric and close-to-shore, each SailGP Championship culminates in a $1 million, three-boat, winner-takes-all Grand Final.

French junior program is world leading. Kudos.
Ben's move on that last leg of the final was classic.
So good!
He had speed and the Aussies didn't make the best manoeuvre...
Heartbreaking for the Kiwis. Hopefully, it will only make them stronger 💪
I never knew sailing was so exciting. Definitely going to start following this
proper hd would be great if possible
how did Germany get a starting penalty at 1:48 ?
They were over the line before the start
Must have been by an absolute cat's whisker@@SailGP
My god... our boat broke badly. There must have been a fault that went un-detected.
I was wondering why AUS did not get a false start in race 1 this day. Ah, wait, cause it's Tom Slingsby as skipper. Greetz, a German😅
surely, we’d be more likely to e hobbled 2 create competition??!? Lol
What is wrong with the commentators? "Emirates New Zealand" and "Emirates Great Britain" why then not announcing Denmark as "Rockwool Denmark"?
Not once have they pointed out Rockwool, so are they paid extra to mention Emirates?
Quite confusing since Emirates is a geographic term, sounds like New Zealand and Great Britain sold their soul and are now racing for Arabs. Sad.
Nice to see the Spanish boat being sponsored by Spain 😂
I think the commentators had it hard enough without saying Emirates in front of national team names. Poor blokes...
Understandable, but remember you’re only hearing 1% of the times they say the names here.
This highlights is from many hours of coverage, they do use the full names quite a lot of the time, but also shorten them a lot of the time too.
It’s just poor luck this package happened to have them saying the full names of gbr and nzl several times.
If you watch other packages from other events you’ll hear Denmark rockwool :)
I hope this helps a bit :)
Though I do 100% agree with the sponsorship- its weird!! But should be noted it’s emirates the airline.
Rubbish highlights
