Erdoğan is slowly losing his popular support. In fact, a few months ago, he lost a major election for the first time in his history, and AKP lost all the major city municipalities. But here's the sad part: the reason people are turning away from Erdoğan isn't corruption, the decay of institutions, nepotism, anti-democratization, or Islamization, but simply because the economy is going bad.
I'm a huge fan of his work and have seen most of it. This is probably one of his worst pieces of work. He looks like he can't wait to leave most of the time and doesn't even bother with the food as no one has time to talk about anything other than politics.

Anthony is my most favourite travel and food documentarian but he wasted his time in showing all about politics rather than beautiful culture and food.
The armenian guy saying armenians will leave turkey? I think armenians live better in turkey with their assets from the ottoman empire, than armenia itself. They have great lives: their own churches, hospitals, clinics, etc.

I love Turkey and believe it should always remain a Muslim country true to its religious teachings. Don’t ever change for the West. The West has no soul or morals.
remain? Turkey has historically only recently become an islamic country. Before that it was a Christian country for well over 1000 years, the word Christian actually originates from Antioch, Turkey. Saying it should remain an islamic (not Muslim) country is just ignorance of history.
The Muslims do not follow the writings of Muhammad. No Dogs or Cats Allowed! The Hadith Bukhari Vol. IV, No. 539: Narrated Abu Talha: The Prophet said, “Angels do not enter a house which has either a dog or a picture in it.” Bukhari Vol. IV, No. 540: Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: Allah’s Apostle ordered that the dogs should be killed. Muslim Vol. I, No. 551: Ibn Mughaffal reported: The Messenger of Allah ordered killing of the dogs, and then said: “What about them, i.e. other dogs?” and then granted concession to keep the dog for hunting and the dog for the herd and said: “When the dog licks the utensil, wash it seven times and rub it with dirt the eighth time.” Muslim Vol. I, No. 552: A hadith like this has been narrated from Shu’ba with the same chain of transmitters except for the fact that in the hadith transmitted by Yahya those words are: “He (the Holy Prophet) gave concession in the case of the dog for looking after the herd, for hunting and for watching the cultivated land,” and there is no mention of this addition (i.e. concession in case of watching the cultivated lands) except in the hadith transmitted by Yahya. Footnote No. 486: The dog is one of the unclean beasts according to Islam and eating its flesh is forbidden and its keeping in the house as a pet is also prohibited for the Muslims. They have, however, been permitted to keep dogs for hunting, herding and watching.
Hadiths are written by scholars centuries after the prophet died. Really makes you think how they knew the prophet so personally, maybe they make them up to justify their weird beliefs? Nah that couldn't be it...
Turkey the Butchers of Cyprus. For years my family cannot even visit their home in the Turkey occupied part of Cyprus. If Turkey was today a candidate to join NATO it would not qualify because it violates most of the principles of being an ally. Congress and Sen.
