Inarrivabile Vickers - Canio... e pazienza se a volte la pronuncia italiana è imperfetta. Ogni sua interpretazione, ogni suo personaggio è studiato, emozionante, perfetto.
Cantante e artista indimenticabile.
Unbelievable phrasing, breath control, power, etc. To me, simply the best.
RIP Jon! One of the greatest tenor voices of the 20th century. Will be sadly missed!
Bravissimo Jon Vickers!!!!!
From "infranto" @2:15
listen to the change he makes from uncovered sound to covered sound on the final "o" vowel.
That is his expression, so full of color and emotion!
Vickers you were a legend!
Damn. Definitely one of my favorites. What a master.
Vickers ben sa che interpreta Teatro in Musica , e dunque non solo esplosione di voce e di canto ! Egli dunque ci mette l'anima e commuove. Vickers non è solo.un grande cantante, è soprattutto uno straordinario artista !
D'accordo in tutto !
Supreme Canio! RIP Maestro
Che Dio ti abbia in gloria, divino Jon Vickers!
Bravo, Vickers!
Straordinario.
The best Canio(in my opinion) ..........his voice made me burst into 😭
Caruso is still unmatched in this role
The quintessential Canio
Where did Jon Vickers go; all i see and hear is a very real Canio. Mastery here, creating a superb and convincing character. Just like Maria Callas, he creates such an emotive and heart felt rendering, to bring the character to life.
Impresionante
Phänomenal!
Innige Intrpretation,männlich!
nothing needs to be said......love this man!!!...
Along with del monaco, merli, pertile,Corelli, gigli, vickers was one of the very best, his no pagliacci non son is top class, but the vesti la guiba I prefer del monaco
Il baritono
who is this voice
Steve C Jon Vickers
He's lip synching his own voice ( Because it's not always "pretty" to look at the movements of the mouth when you are singing opera. The glamour of film [ Hollywood or otherwise ] would not present its best with lips "that are not pretty")
@@sgnmath1234 This movie was made in 1968, it was still common at that time for some or all of the sound to be done in studio rather than have a large sound crew on set. Audiences are pretty familiar with the affect from Spaghetti Westerns which are completely dubbed.
Is this lip-synched?
Of course it is.

That was not a d sharp in -sti of Vesti la giubba.
La voce non è di bella qualità....
Ma l'interprete è eccellente!!!
.. it just lacks in MELODY. Listen to other great tenors and how they capture the melody of the song.
Splitting hairs methinks?
@@diplomamilldoc8562 Just giving my honest opinion that's all. 😊
