Been a die hard Four Year Strong fan for like 8 or 9 years, and I will be until the very fucking end. Keep doing your thing guys.
want to do, and not trying to impress anyone. They're just doing what makes them happy. And it's not that the new album doesn't sound good, it just doesn't sound like any of their previous albums, and that's what all the fuss was about. Now that I know that they've chosen to change their sound on purpose, I listen to In Some Way Shape Or Form with a clear head, and I love it... Four Year Strong forever ;)
awesome!!
Everyone needs to stop expecting another Rise or Die Trying. I love that album to death, but they're not gonna make the same record twice. I don't understand why nobody gets that musicians change by now. It happens to every band at some point. In Some Way, Shape, or Form is a solid rock album.
Lol...hindsight eh?
FINALLY... now for the tab book???
I think the new album is awesome! you shouldn't expect for a band to sound the same every album, listen carefully to the songs and you will find that every song on the album is just pure awesome-ness...
I'll be honest, I was one of the people that were really shocked about the new album. My expectations of this band after first hearing them with Rise Or Die Trying and Enemy Of The World were pretty high, and I expected the new album to kind of have the same pop-like sound as Rise Or Die Trying and the same strong emotion as Enemy Of The World, and when I didn't get that sound, I felt disappointing. After watching a few videos about them and this one, I now realize they're just doing what they
I don't understand how people do not LOVE the new album it is amazing what is wrong with you guys seriously!?!
3 people have not herd the album and still need to listen so there mad lol
@InesGed2k6 I'm as old a fan as any, and I love this album just as much if not more so than the others.
It makes perfect sense why they wrote this type of album. They were right, their songs from their last record all had the same fast tempo, and they wanted a change. I don't think they are selling out. That's not FYS, in my opinion. I don't think they'll do that. Personally, I like the new record. Yes, not as much as the last, but I still jam to it every day, and I still support FYS even more, now that I know why they changed their sound. It makes sense.
Congratulations fellas, its nice to see that you still have talent. Greetings from Mexico
how could one suddenly lose talent ... ?
i LOVE the new album. Is it necessary to compare this with the previous albums?
Their best Album !!!
"There's not enough breakdowns for me."-Dan
that's me holding the Rise or Die shirt at 1:22!!!!!!!!
new album is awesome! but i miss keyboards! i want Josh Lyford back!!!
Sound? Well foo fighters. I'm sorry but it's true.
Hope they mix it up next couple shows
Love the PBC shirt ;)
I touched Dan's beard =D
me too dude!!
Four year strong have never come out with a bad album. There’s ones each of us prefer over the other but that doesn’t mean the least favorite is bad. I honestly can’t pick. I’m writing this is 2019 and all their albums stood the test of time and FYS will always be my favorite band of all time. For me my favorite to least favorite is...
-newest self titled album ( my favorite album of all time )
-Enemy of the world
-RODT
-ISWSF
I've been really trying to listen to this album and give it a shot. It's okay but I noticed everytime I have my music on shuffle I'll always skip over this album's songs
its not that its different its just not as good as enemy of the world, which to be fair was a classic
ill love them no matter what haha
@eOtant new album rules*
@vdubmusicmonster Sweet Kerosine
@asecretninja And his beard.
Yay Jake, Fight the Future is my fave as well! At first I was annoyed about the change in sound. But after these explanations I like I am happy again
SHEESH stop complaining they wanted to do something different. think about the bands they grew up listening to thts wht ur hearing
their best record yet, that break down pop punk fusion bull shit is dead, bands have to grow musically in order to stay in tact. other wise records wont sell and they will fall apart. promise this wont be the end of their growing and the next record will be even more mainstream. on the other hand im a musician and i know what it takes to be the best. i fully support this band and any band that wants to grow up.
the bassist is russian?
why do people like bands to be the same all the time anyway? It's refreshing that this one's different, how many bands get accused of writing the same song over and over? Probably by the same people that don't like it when a different sounding album comes out. Haters will be haters.
Lol you can kinda tell Dan isn't too pumped about this album. I don't think any of them are.
the bassist doesn't know his own song? ,cool dude ,cool dude
he's not involved in the process of writing lyrics, that's dan&alan's alley. and the lyrics were probably written after the music was finished, like they usually do. plus, their song titles are often quite a mouthful. to be honest, I've listened to all of their records countless of times and if someone was to ask me about a title of a specific tune, I'd probably have to look it up.
full beard strong
They wrote this album in a year while touring, they was no way it was going to be awesome... That's what happens when you're pressured to write an album.
It does have 3 or 4 sweet tunes though.
it's a great record,
scumbag FYS: says "some fans aren't going to like this." - Writes song berating "fairweather fans."
Here's my opinion: The main theme of this album seems to be "we've changed our sound, if you don't like it, go fuck yourself". While this is fair enough, when you write a bunch of songs about that, don't be surprised when "old" fans get pissed off. My worry when you guys got rid of Josh was that you'd lost what made you different from other similar bands. While the new stuff is good, it lacks the originality from RODT and EOTW. Not a bad album, not great, just average. I miss Josh.
The record sucks. I'm sorry. Four Year Strong's other records are amazing though. Does this mean I'm not a true fan?
