- Sometimes even the latest iOS updates don’t bring the features you’re looking for. Richard updated to iPadOS 15.2 and noticed that the Notes app still doesn’t have options to color the text in a note. There are options for font face and basic styling, but not color on iOS. Interestingly you can change colors on the Mac version of the App. Learn more in this mini-segment.
I already knew you could color text from the iMac but didn’t know you couldn’t do it with the iPhone. That’s a bummer but thank You!
Additionally, as I have been paying attention to how much i can do on my iPad Pro without having to travel with my laptop, it is these little nits of difference, that I need to know. So extra thank YOU
Most organizations would not go to ‘any lengths’ to answer a question like you did. Thank YOU!
Glad it was helpful!
Misleading title!
How so? What do you think would be better? We'd love to have the most relevant title!
@@Maccast the title suggests that you can change the color. “How to” should be changed to “Can you” with a question mark at the end (“Can you color text in ipad notes?”)
Or how NOT to color text in Notes on iPad, since you can’t.
I would agree on the title for this, what you’re doing is a workaround, you can’t actually color text in iOS, only on MacOS.
Still the problem isn’t solved what was the point of the video
Thanks for the tip, I for one have a difficult time seeing yellow highlights on my phone.
Happy to help!
So it cannot. Why not say it cannot ?
AND once the color has been synced into the note you can copy/paste to another location on the note and the color will appear, then replace select and type over with intended text.
Thanks for clarifying!
No worries!
thanks for clearing that out. been looking for ways of doing it but now i know the coputer says no.
No problem 👍
So basically the only way to color your text is to do it on the Mac and then export it to your iPad? In other words, you can’t do it on an iPad at all. Your title is very misleading.
So No
I’ve never had or used a Mac but (since a couple yrs ago) I have been able to (accidentally) acquire the option of using the text colors of blue, orange & gold text in my iPad & iPhone Notes. Although I’m VERY afraid that by mentioning this, Apple might issue an update that wipes out that option. So I’ll probably delete this comment in a day or so, just in case…
