I usually go to my local small mom and pop's fast foods because I support small businesses, the meat is still good meat and is not that much more expensive than big chain fast foods and is also much more tastier, so yeah...
My son and I took your advice from a video you made and we have a cheeseburger with some nuggets added on top of the burger patty from McDonald's (we are in the UK so don't have all the different restaurants that are in the US) 🍔🍗🇬🇧🇺🇸
does pbg still DO videogame/zelda stuff? thought it became a foodtuber, shame not a local food tuber so no like mom n pop local restaurants just name brand fast food/junk food but eh.
Jack in the box employee here :) Yeah Peebs you should definitely eat Jack in the box for a week. It’s very underrated and they have so much variety like tacos, eggrolls, onion rings, churros, hash browns, chicken, big ass burgers and a whole lot more.
Ngl of any resturaunts Jack in the box is the nicest to my wallet and the food isn’t half bad. I just wish I didn’t have to drive 14 minutes just to get some tacos priced like they were back in 2008
I switched to exclusively ordering on mobile apps when I realized it meant I don't have to talk to people anymore. I don't even do the drive thru at places that let me park and they just bring it to me. Finally they figured out food ordering for us introverts.
Recently came to prefer it as well. I don't want the awkward drive thru interaction, I just want to book it ahead of time. Another benefit is that there are typically a lot of customization options, as a person that prefers no ice in the drink but traditionally doesn't want to waste time by saying that I appreciate that. Also, it adds the points or whatever directly, which I know for a fact I'd be too lazy to manually add otherwise. And one last thing, for the time I've been doing this (probably my last ten orders or so?) I don't think I've had anything messed up, which I assume is because everything is presented in writing, there's no potential for misinterpretation through the crappy drive thru speakers and microphones. But yeah I don't know, I admit it's annoying having to have a million apps, however, with decent storage space I don't really care. Edit: Ah I see now, watching further he has seen the light lol, he definitely seems like somebody who would benefit from this considering some of the awkward drive thru interactions on the channel lmao.
I only starting going to fast food places because they got self service kiosks, so I don't have to go the counter and repeat myself 3 times for them to hear my order!
I'm shocked you're the only creator out of hundreds i follow that actually knows about the value meals and knows their importance. Lots of people these days complain about high prices but don't look on the apps
I only found Peebs like 2 weeks ago, and I start to like his content. I like the way he review fast food or frozen meal and don't overly criticize it. Because what I see other influencer reviewing fast food or frozen food and comparing it to a restaurant quality like... no man... it doesn't work that way...
Sorry but Dunkins 6 dollar meal deal is the best. You get a medium coffee iced or hot, a bacon egg and cheese bagel and hashbrowns. Which is honestly pretty good.
Comeback sauce was created in Mississippi in the 1920s. It's mayonnaise, ketchup and/or chili sauce, and possible additional ingredients depending on the chef's taste. It's essentially a spicy fry sauce. Great on chicken, and yes, it hits pretty hard with fries, too.
I'm pretty sure the KFC Comeback Sauce is basically their answer to Raising Cane's Sauce and the Slim's Sauce from Slim Chickens. Everyone that sells chicken strips offers their variation of the Cane's Sauce.
1:27 I had this problem too lmao, what I like about McDonald's is that they make it clear how to pick up your order, Jack in The Box is basically "your order exists" after you pay for it
SAME I thought I was the only one who hated that decision. I literally stopped eating there because of it. (come to find out years later I have a gluten allergy so probably for the best anyway lol)
This may sound the same but you should try fast food value menus. These are more 1-3$ per item. Taco Bell and Burger King have a really good value menu for today's standards, i think jack in the box has a good one as well. But you should definitely try to get 1 week of jack in the box done, that restaurant is so insane and diverse and they got breakfast all day so that is a plus. The loaded tiny tacos are the bomb im telling you. Nuggets are decent and the ranch and honey garlic sriracha are a must try, my favorite fast food sauces honestly.
Crunch Wrap Supreme for first option, Beefy five layer for second item, cinnatwists for the side, and upgrade to large for 10cents extra for the soda. You get way more than your value for the tacobell thing.
It was very nice to hear music from Asagao Academy after so many years! I had to rewatch the KFC segment since I was too busy listening to the music lol
im a mayo/ketchup burger person. i LOVE jack in the box tacos, god i havent had one in so long. theyre so good. american cheese goes so hard on those things and theyre like a 1$ a piece.
I used to enjoy KFC myself but lately I've been on protest against them because remember the fries you showed? They didn't always have fries they used to serve potato wedges and they were the best part of KFC in my opinion so if you do try a one week of KFC I recommend getting some potato wedges from Wal-Mart or make a batch from those copycat recipes online and make the comparison with the KFC fries and potato wedges to see what's better because until the potato wedges come back in some form I am never setting foot in a KFC ever again
7:46 I’m like the biggest Taco Bell Stan but the cup that they gave you out of all the collectible cups they have right now is like the one that they gave me like 500 times in a row and I think it’s because it’s the most iconic logo.
comeback sauce is a sauce that was invented by some guy from mississippi. it's what like cane's sauce and a lot of chicken sauces are based on and they sell it at a lot of places in the mississippi/alabama/georgia/tennessee area
Jack in the box is one of the best quality for price fast food places. Granted, not every cook loves his job, but 9 times out of 10.. you won't be disappointed. Usually a bit more of a wait.. but worth it! It's about the opposite for McDs.
Watching American fast food videos as an Australian is so wild cos everything seems so much bigger and cheaper but lower quality than here. And in Australia kfc is like a top tier fast food place, it's always busy at my closest one
Bro I’m so glad I’m watching you again used to watch you with my little brother from like 2014 to 2018 and then just stopped but I’m back in 2024 like I never left (I hope you can forgive me peebs 🙏
FWIW, at least around here the KFC app scales exponentially. It seems like a permanent thing where you can basically staple one of those value boxes to any $10 order for free, and right now, technically you can get an any-size fries added to any order for free. They have 2 sizes, personal and sharing size. The latter is basically just a small popcorn bucket full of KFC fries. Also, if you're gonna max your Taco Bell value, that box lets you pick a crunch wrap and a beefy five-layer, which is far and away the most expensive pair if you were to order them a la carte.
i recommend doing this again, but instead one day at a time, and you can even do it similar to Ryan but instead do an "eat in car" like pretend your not the driver and just park somewhere and see how your experience is with the food. Sure, if you want to bring it home that is a thing just please one day at a time, maybe do the "eat at restaurant for a week" thing you do, those are really good.
Both "value" and "meal" really belong in air quotes nowadays for every fast food enterprise. The food is somehow high in calories while being not at all satiating and no longer even that cheap! I suppose it's still fast? Usually?
I really miss Jack in the Box. I lived in Seattle for a while, but I went back home to a state that doesn't have a single one. So if you did a week of JitB, I could live vicariously through you. LOL
As a pregnant person, Wendy's chicken nuggets are legit the only thing I wanna eat. And I legit got a 10 piece chicken nuggets twice in a row. Yesterday and today. And I'm really tempted to go get more watching this video 😂 but also taco bell looked hella good too.
The biggest issue with KFC is depending on your location it's either great or terrible, there's not really any in between. This makes people either love or hate KFC, and those that hate it likely just don't have a good location in their area. If you have a good location, they cook the food correctly, your food is hot/fresh, and they actually get your order correct they are the best chicken place besides ChikFilA (and that's specific to sandwhiches for me)
A big tip with Wendy's biggy bag deal! On the app you can make sizes of fries and drinks to a large. There is a small upcharge fee but you get three times the size for extra dollar 50 or so. Wendy's is my go to option whenever I am needing a good meal deal (Taco bell was good but once it became above 7$ it got too pricy) Ps. You can customize fries as well to give you a extra thing of sauce as well!
Peebs they have this wonderful invention called the cup holder. You can ask any fast food for one and then you can place your cups anywhere you have a flat surface.
If you want a really good deal from KFC my parents' favorite pick is their chicken pot pies. $5 for a pretty big personal pie that has a crispy crust and pretty much everything you'd expect in a chicken pot pie.
Healthier yes, I am so sick of people saying X MEAL KIT is 'cheaper' than fastfood... it's not. Price of a Big Mac Meal > 9.89 before taxes. Price of a Factor Meal > 11.49 before taxes and shipping. I am not going to say that the price is worth it... but if you wanted to keep Calories on the same level then the pricing should only factor in the Big Mac Itself... 6.49 - 550 cal - Big Mac. 11.49 - 502 cal - Factor. Factor, and any meal kit, are vastly over priced... Fastfood and restaurants in general are aswell if you REALLY wanna save money just make your own food... I dropped $5 on a lb of Ground beef, $2 on some sauce, $2 on some tortilla shells, and $2 on some cheese and I have about 4 or 6 meals worth of food. 11 / 6 = $1.83 a Meal at that roughly 500 calorie mark. THAT ALL SAID... I don't fault you for taking their sponsorship... get that paper man! I'm sick of the companies not you siphoning off their money. o7
word, plus look at all that green in the meals. As a tradesman a diet like that is not enough, I'l be dragging my feet weak all day... :/ Edit: Please show compassion and empathy for the laborer. we work in rain and hardships and barly get scrap. I've personally worked on condos and fancy highrises for the rich right beside the CN Tower and air canada center. Laborers are abused dude, we can build them their castles and towers, but they will refuse to pay us a decent wage.
I'm such a sucker. I end up craving almost everything you review in these videos. How about making an "I ate the healthiest vegetables known to man every day for 1 week" video? 😅
The Wendy’s biggie bag is $8 in my area, absolutely criminal. In my area if you get the McDonald’s burger over the chicken sandwich or the other way I don’t remember it becomes $6, which doesn’t make sense because the 2 for 3.99 has both those options and doesn’t raise the price. The kfc tenders box meal got nerfed hard. When it first showed up it came with a biscuit and a drink!
Pro tip for anybody looking to save an extra few bucks at McDs: The app has a timer that only allows one deal at a time, UNLESS you do a mobile order then go to one of the kiosks. You do this and you can get at least 2 deals one after the other.
I also think KFC is very underrated. I rarely eat big fast food chain food (I prefer smaller mon and pop's fast foods) but if I do eat at big fast food chains is always only KFC. I heard many people critiqued KFC for being dirty but the KFC I eat at (in Europe) is always ultra clean and the food is so tasty. Could be an American thing I don't know... But yeah I think KFC is underrated, so I agree.
I agree I was saying I think it depends on location and workers. the workers in the kfc nearby never shake or spread out the fries when cooking... so they are always soggy and stuck together... its a HUGE complaint from me, because ever since I was a kid, I went to a KFC in newfoundland many times, and the fries there were so crispy and fluffy... it was literal perfection. So I dont understand... I seriously think it's a worker issue handling it, KFC needs alil more hands on
@@mage1439 Yeah I agree they are more expensive at least the chicken is more "real" although I always advocate that people should support smaller fast food shops, better tasting food, not much more expensive and "healthier" but again when I go to a big fast food chain is definitely KFC.
@@Robert_D_Mercer Of course it depends on the restaurant itself and is franchise owner. To be fair in all KFC's I went I had zero complaints beisdes the price and maybe the fries what I rarely order in a KFC anyways, you are there for the chicken. My worst experience in a big fast food so far is funnily enough in Mc Donalds and second one in Burger King.
My go to places I like to treat myself to have been lately Jack in the box, taco bell, mainly since those two are the closest ones nearer me compared to McDonalds. My go to order for Taco Bell is the two mini cheese burritos and 2 cinimon twsties. Jack in the box is usually either a couple of breakfast jack with fries or their breakfast platter. depending on my mood. Also Arlo and Peebs food collab when?
Jack in the box was gaining good popularity across the US then they had a salmonella outbreak and shut down like half their locations. Took 10 years to get them back in CO
I'm a huge jack in the box fan so I would kill for a J in the B video. One tip if you ever do this, I'd suggest staying away from the mini birria tacos deal box. It has tacos, onion rings, curly fries and mini churros. Sounds amazing but I spent the rest of the evening inflating in a not sexy way lol
What's your go to cheap fast food order??
Thanks for watching!
I usually go to my local small mom and pop's fast foods because I support small businesses, the meat is still good meat and is not that much more expensive than big chain fast foods and is also much more tastier, so yeah...

I've personally worked on condos and fancy highrises for the rich right beside the CN Tower and air canada center. Laborers are abused dude, we can build them their castles and towers, but they will refuse to pay us a decent wage.
@@Robert_D_Mercerno one’s forcing you to stay with those companies. Plenty of laborers get paid their worth, especially those in a union.

I'm such a sucker. I end up craving almost everything you review in these videos. How about making an "I ate the healthiest vegetables known to man every day for 1 week" video? 😅
I love kfc and had no idea people hate it lol. The comeback sauce is so crazy good I was blown awayyyy
Peebs you should do an Eating Culver’s for one week video!
Is Toasty collecting all the times Austin has said "I don't normally eat this" over the last few years?
Pro tip for anybody looking to save an extra few bucks at McDs:
The app has a timer that only allows one deal at a time, UNLESS you do a mobile order then go to one of the kiosks.
I seriously think it's a worker issue handling it, KFC needs alil more hands on
I mean, American any place is probably going to be worse than European that thing, but yeah. I love KFC, kind of expensive, though.
KFC in china and Japan are legit the best but the ones in America are so soggy it always give me stomach aches, same with Popeyes
