I got five yards of cotton knit on clearance at Walmart for 2 dollars a yard. About to have my third child and I still have the same two wraps. I sewed a small button on the top half of the middle of each wrap just so I'd know where the middle is(most wraps have a tag there). I think an iron on or an embroidery would be pretty too. I make mine five yards so my husband can use it.
Such a steal! Congrats mama! If you get a good fabric, it could last forever. That's a really good hack, that would save a lot of time and energy forsure. I feel like the hardest part about putting on a wrap is finding the middle, lol. And how sweet! Cuddle sessions with the baby for everyone!
HI i have an almost 9 week old baby girl and ive been dying for a wrap but like you think the prices are expensive... thank you for this video! ill def be going to hobby lobby to pick out some fabric to make my own!
This saved me so much money! 😊 I have a little one who will be here soon and I had to find a cheaper alternative for wraps since my boyfriend and I will both be using them. 60$ a piece is pricey. 🥴
Nope, I didn't! That's what's so great about it! If you get a cotton or jersey knit material, not only does the material cut really smooth and nice, but the material does not fray in the wash, naturally due to the way it is made.
It doesn't need to be a jersey knit material, but that would work really well for this wrap. I guess any type of stretchy, breathable material would work. I would recommend cotton knit or jersey knit material for a wrap though.

Great help ty
Loved your video. Super helpful. Did you sew the edge where it was cut so it doesn't fray during washes?

Thank you!!
Hi just wanted to clarify did you sew it at all to prevent the material fraying or it doesnt frey being that sort of material
Nope! The material stayed in great condition naturally and didn’t fray a bit.
Thanks for your video! I’ll be making one tomorrow. Btw, where did you get your jeans?
Target! ✨
What material is this grey looking one ? It looks really stretch
Would this be great for a 67lb baby?
How many yards do you need to make one? Im small like you. 2.25?
At least 4.5. May seem like alot but trust me, it'll all be useful when you wrap your babe in it.
@@vlyssv_nicole Thanks! I get it now
Did you just pick a knit fabric that you like? Wasn't necessarily jersey knit?
It doesn't need to be a jersey knit material, but that would work really well for this wrap. I guess any type of stretchy, breathable material would work. I would recommend cotton knit or jersey knit material for a wrap though.
What about Lycra do you think that could work too.
Amazon has some good prices even when black Friday is coming up
Thank you
Of course girly! ❤️
What kind of fabric do you use?
A stretchy, cotton knit fabric.
