My Civic roof molding has been weathered for a while now from front all the way at the other end. Thanks for this video Danny that there's another option to tackle this issue without breaking a bank 😊
Good luck👍🏼
What a deal. Ran across this and let's now fix a 2010 Honda Civic. Thanks
Danny! I have no words to thank you enough, you helped a lot with my civic 2008, I’ll keep watching your channel and sharing with my friends, once more thanks! From Australia.

Thank you for this video!
I did this a few months ago. I did it quick and dirty. It eventually fell out. I think I will try again following your steps. Thanks for another great video Danny.
Mine works good
Put some video on resolving cowl top issues. Thanks

Glad you liked it! Appreciate
I got door molding from home depot and the add some glue and looks perfect on my honda civic 2010
Very nice! Thanks for sharing
Mine 09 civic has the same problem. thanks for sharing this! Could you do one on how to fix a noisy rear window? Mine is seeing to make noise on every trip and stuffing foam weather stripping hasn't lasted or worked too well.
I’ll see what I can do with that
Danny you're a freakin genius. Thanks a lot man you've been a lot of help in my restoration of an abandoned '08
I wish I could take credit for this, one of my subscribers sent me the idea, there’s also other videos on this on UA-cam, I love it when my subscribers send me video content ideas
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
2008 thank you I will have to try this ❤
You’re welcome 👍🏼
Happy New Year Danny! Wait..so the oem roof molding dont come w/ the weather seal and in a separate piece? Or does it?
Correct it’s the whole 10ft piece, I believe they were pretty expensive, much more than I was willing to pay anyway
make a video how to fix tpms light!🙌🏽
Hello Mr. Danny, I would like to see your video about CAN high, CAN low, and K-Line probes for voltage and waveforms. Could you make it sometime? Everybody like you demonstration and clearly explanation. Thanks
Great suggestion!, I’ll see what I can think up
Hi Mr. hope you're having a really good day, i enjoy so much your videos, i have the same car but the coupe version 2010 (and almost the same issues hehe). I do have a question, how many ft of rubber do you think you use? i dont know if i should buy de 9ft or 16 ft
I added a amazon link in the description of the part needed
What usually goes right there?
Great video thank you. I was wondering, do you feel like the binding force would be enough in strong winds or did you put some sealant and or adhesive on there to keep it in place?
Yes, it’s in there pretty good, I feel it’s enough.
@@dannysdiygarage Thanks. I saw the prices on these currently $160 for both and that is ridiculous. Headed to big box today for garage door bottom door moulding. Wife doesn't like it missing ha Thank you.
@@sl5311How did it go? I’m attempting this soon after seeing the prices. Is it holding up on the road?
Awesome video!
Aside from the cosmetic nuisance, is there any mechanical or safety issue with having that part of the car exposed?
Not at all
Then...does it technically qualify as patina? 😂
Thanks so much. I really enjoy your videos and enginuity
Youre the man
Appreciate you buddy
I replaced my roof moldings a few months ago. Still available at the dealer.
How much $ was it to replace, I would love to know and did the dealer do it or you?
@@dannysdiygarage no doubt he paid $150~ a side which is def not worth it
They were a little over $90/side after my body shop discount. (25% off list price). Replaced them myself, not that hard.
@@joshaden6533 thanks for the reply
Mine fell out a few months ago. I need to fix it.
Time to redo it, mine is tucked in tight
😭😭😭 I did this two weeks ago but with RTV silicone and some backer rod. I don't regret it but assuming if I need to remove mine one day im assuming it can be a nightmare this is way better.
as long as it looks good
do they sale the original piece for civic 2011!
Yes, dealer only and approx $150 per side, its the best option if you have money to blow, I'm pretty happy with this fix, you can't tell its a hack fix, looks actually factory, a fellow UA-cam suggested this to me a while back.
Great job! I learned a lot. But you should give credit to the guy who made the original video on this.
Send me who made a video, I’d be happy to give a shoutout 👍🏼

Does this cut down the road noise any?
Not a noticeable difference if any
Why did you remove the link? I need to try this!
I’ll get it back asap
Nice video, I will bite the bullet and buy the original hardware at the dealer since online they charge to much because boxes are to big.
I would have liked to buy the factory correct moldings, I just couldn’t bring myself to fork out the money, but that was the video I originally wanted to make ❤
Well
Just bought the 9ft one from your link and it’s not the same one you use in the video. It’s a much harder rubber that doesn’t work.
I just checked the part number, it should be the exact same thing, send me a picture of it, send to dannysdiygarage@gmail.com
I duck taped mine. I used waterproof tape and it's holding for now.
That can’t look good, does it?
They really need to start using silicon since the weather is getting hotter every year.
Agree, they need to use better material
Getting hotter where?
California,Texas, Nevada, Arizona to be exact
Should be the exact same thing, the packaging looked the same with the same part number, try Lowes or Home Depot. Please update me on this, I'm removing the link until I hear back from you
I want to be sure, did you order this one here: amzn.to/3OX8NCb
