"Darol and the Mikes" @ The New Varsity

Mike Hedges, Mike Manring, Mike Marshall and Darol Anger, jokingly referred to as, Darol and The Mikes. There are a lot of video drop outs in this, now nearly 40 year old recording, recently digitized to HD, but the audio stays mostly steady. From 8/16/21984.

Thanks, Randy. What great members and unique title of the show (And one last word from Darol!).
I met Michael Hedges a month after this show in JAPAN (Sep.1984). He had his first concert in Ginza, Tokyo with other WIndamhill Artists. .I went to see this concert and I made Ginza earlier than the door opened. So I was walking down the street of Ginza with my younger brother. My younger brother asked me " Is that foreign walking man not Michael Hedges ? " We have seen him only in the picture on the back side jacket of "Aerial Boundaries!" We tried to follow him and we tried to say "Hi" and asked " Are you Michael Hedges ?" He turned to us and was very surprised and He goes " How did you organize me ?" We told him that we had seen him only a black and white picture and was not sure if it was you but we had Bingo ! We had a conversation on the street. I could not speak English well but we had a good time. I met Michael after that in Japan and the U.S. four or five times and Last meeting was in January of 1997. I met him at the NAMM show of that year. These memoliy and his music spirit is always in my mind and in my heart.
Randy, You are the person I have most wanted to meet and talk to for many years.

Katsunori What a great story! The photo that you recognized him from, on the back of AB, was taken by the younger sister of one of my closest friends, from high school, Cathye English.
