This is the normal way for Christians to answer a question. To quote a passage of scripture. However this is not an answer. I am not Peter, Paul and Mary. My answer is: I belong to Christ because I am a member of His Body.
      1 Corinthians 12:12-13:
12 For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

The physical world and world of the afterlife is actually ‘part’ of God’s form. The cosmos is not God, but it is what God configured ‘part’ of Himself into in order to conceive and gestate the physical bodies in which he brings into being and incubates our eternal soul.
So just as we say that we can’t see the wood for the trees, meaning we can’t see the entire forest because all we see is the cluster of individual trees near to us, in the same way, we see and touch God’s form, or part of His form all the time, but we don’t see the entirety of God by doing so.
However, we do see God’s nature expressed in everything He has made just as Paul said in Rom 1:20.
God is not a being with arms and legs and a head etc, that would be far too limited for the entirety of what God is. It is only what we are because it is what we need and all we need for this stage in our spiritual evolution. But one day, perfect human souls will also grow beyond such a form.
In the afterlife, we will not see God, but we will experience him in everything we see.
I will give a talk about this on my UA-cam channel.

"In the afterlife, we will not see God, but we will experience him in everything we see." Nicely put. However, your first few sentences were confusing. You make God a contingent being-having parts or sections that are contingent, that didn't have to exist, that came into existence, and exist with limited physical qualities and dependence-all within God, as if he had a form or boundary or physicality in the first place. Hope I'm not misunderstanding you?

    • @pathfinding4687
      @pathfinding4687 6 місяців тому +2

God does indeed have a form.
But it would not be a form as we understand the term form. You might call it a 'substantial nature'. God has 'internal nature' and 'external form'. Just as everything He created does and is either a full (a perfect man or woman) or partial (fallen man or women or anything in nature from animals, plants, minerals all the way down to atoms and base energy) image/reflection of what He is.
All things God expressed Himself as are masculine/feminine (or positive/negative) and so is God. All things have an internal nature and external expression of that nature and so does God.
Think of God's external form as a super subtle, base energy. Then God, in His perfection and power has perfect control over that form and can configure it how He decides. Not instantly or by magic, but over a process.
So God decides to have children, then he sets to bringing that about and works backwards in design as we do. He first considers what kind of process would be needed to bring eternal souls into being. This is a physical body that needs an environment to live and grow in, which needs a universe, which needs matter, which is based on atoms, which are based on sub atomic particles which are constructed by different/opposing energy waves (think of north/north magnetic fields that although are not matter, they create resistance and a sense of substance) and keep following the process down until you get to the final base energy. That energy is God's external form.
All that God created in the cosmos, meaning the physical universe and the substantial, visible world/environment of the afterlife is not the whole of God, it is God's womb. It already existed in a different form just as a woman's belly does prior to being pregnant, but it is configured by God into an environment to create and gestate human souls.
God is pregnant and His first trimester is in the physical mother' womb where we, His children, develop our physiology and the beginnings of our soul, the second trimester is in the physical body in the physical world were we form our emotion, intellect and will - the foundations of the shape/configuration of a soul, then ideally if we perfect that, meaning, establish the basics, we then go to the third trimester in the afterlife and spend billions of years of refinement until we grow beyond a simple human form and we become like God on a basic beginner level.
So our physical body and our spirit body is 'not' our external form, both are part of God's external form, they are extensions of nature. Our external form is our own base energy which a new soul could never configure. think about it, how can a baby with no self awareness or self control configure it's external substance energy into a sophisticated body? Our physical body is part of God's external form and we live in it and are given control over it. Same in the after life. Then after perfection and eons of refinement and continuous growth in the third trimester true 'birth' is when our aseity reaches a point where we can exist independent of our borrowed form.
And most shocking of all, it is God's wish that we grow to a point were we do not need him. Where we can not only exist, but exist in a state of spiritual life and happiness without God.
This is shocking but think about it, how exhilarating would it be for God if we reached that point but loved God so deeply that it would be inconceivable that we would ever leave God or not love Him.
All children reach a point where they no longer need the parent but love them anyway, it is the ultimate love.
We are contingent beings in the case of our origin, but we are not created to be eternally dependant on God. The highest achievement of God is that He can create beings that can one day exist eternally 'without needing Him'. Yet, in order to reach this state, such beings would have to be of such holiness and awesome beauty and goodness that they would never not love and adore God so they would theoretically have the ability to not love or relate to or need God and could generate their own existence force and joy and love and happiness eternally, yet would always still love and adore God above all others.

So, this is God telling Moses that he will see God's back, literally. I think what you're referring to is what God explicitly says just a couple of verses prior:
Exodus 33:19-20 - And the Lord said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But," He said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."
So God's face cannot be seen by man. I'm sure you recognize that someone can see part of God's form without seeing His face, just like someone can see part of you without seeing your face.

Will we comprehend or apprehend him mentally in the sense that we will be able to have a mental vision or understand his nature better than we do now? I worried that we will still not have the capacity to understand his nature that much better than we do now.

Every person is half man and half woman impossibility possible miracle God. Every person is half genetic information from male and half from female. Kids look like their mother and father. Everyone deserves respect because nobody is perfect. Regardless of what is our sin we don't want to live being put on the spot. Are you better? Are you perfect? Live and let live. The secret of happiness is to live and let live. Accept everyone for what they can offer to you, some more and some less, or different. Reality matters because God exists and the creation has a purpose. Reality is even more fascinating than humanity think it is. We are God, an infinitesimal part of reality, and our mission is to survive. If you are reading you are important because you can survive to witness the future. To end the war the discovery that atheism is a logical fallacy has to be news. The truth is atheism is a logical fallacy that assumes God is the religious idea of the creator of the creation to conclude wrongly no creator exists because a particular idea of God doesn’t exist. Reason and logic are universal and what is rational and logical for me it's rational and logical for you. I know reality is eternal because from nothing can not be created something. Nothing is absence of existence. Nothing is empty, zero, void, missing. Nothing is what you get explaining to deaf ears. Either the universe is eternal or God is eternal. Either what has a beginning of existence is eternal or what created what has a beginning of existence is eternal. Either a sequence of causes and effects is eternal or God is eternal. God decided to create the universe from an eternal existence. Regardless of when the universe was created God existed always before. It's fact, it's truth, it's reality, it's what happened. God is a reality of an infinite nature that created a reality of a finite nature, and all is one reality, all is conected, all is God transforming self. God designed the reality that Time wanted to experience, a life, perfection, the perfect game to eternal life or death. You matter because you are reality transforming a reality infinitely more important than yourself. The whole is infinitely more important than the part. The organs should work for the wellbeing of the body. The organs are the body. I am trying to overcome the most severe and devastating censorship in history. Thank you.
