That's an interesting comparison - other than tile laying I wouldn't compare it to Cascadia. It's much simpler and plays way faster, but there's plenty of strategy within a simple ruleset.
@@PlaytheGameHQ It's getting harder and harder as time goes on to find games that fit in my collection. I don't need or want a half dozen tile laying games. I'd like to have a few good ones of varying weights. I own Cascadia and Carcassonne and I'm not sure I need more unless there some really clever new mechanic or it fills a different niche in my collection. I am trying to spend less on board games, given how large my shelf of shame/opportunity has grown over the past few years, but that is difficult to manage. Arbitrary and occasionally strange rules help me to do so.
@@zmollon that’s fair. It’s good, but if you’re happy with your tile laying collection then i would say your gut is right. It’s definitely a hard balance to know what to add and what to pass on and that’s all based on personal taste.
Just ordered this game. Looks like a lot of fun!!
The scoring in this game is really interesting. I'm also obsessed with the theme. Definitely want to give this one a try!
You should, it's so quick to play but has so many great strategic choices!
interesting. not sure I need to own both this and Cascadia, but the 3d aspect is a new flavour, so something to consider.
