You can overlap the range of the cattle farms by 1 tile, so they take less space.
If you (eventually) wage war (i know you will ;) ) you can crtl+click to destroy trees with ships or soldiers. It also works on road tiles and bridges (and of course on buildings).
The people need unfortunately jewelry to upgrade to the final stage. So you have to take blues island. Build a canon maker, large shipyard and at least 8 large warships to be sure (they have the most capacity and are the fastest).

At 13:40 you mention to build large war- and trade ships, I seem to remember that the large warship is better than the trade ship in every way?
Yeahhhh 20 gooddd damn years :) i play on my desktop as far as I remember :))) and it was a demo version by the way you are a very good anno player after me ;) ...
was it in this game already where you could block markets from collecting goods? I remember doing this to decrease their workload, so the tobacco plantation never is empty, but the cigar producer only has to go to the plantations to get the tobacco.
of course doesn't work as well with distinct districts.
and again: remember the cathedral - it can only be placed once! :D
Maybe i was too young for this but i remember this cool game in my childhood. I loved it. Lovely graphics, cool structure. But i was always in negative revenue and losing money :D Neve rmanaged to achieve positive income.
You can turn the music off in settings to monetize the video. Also grain farms are terrible for food. Just run a line of fisheries down your island. They take up way less space.

Hi let me ask you. Why do you prefer grain over cattle? Grain cost much more money and space. With cattle, you can even do with cramped little space and the effectiveness work can be over 80% if the grass spot is not too cramped. Is there more benefit to build grain over cattle? Thanks

I was poor as a kid and only had the demo to play... and play the shit out of it I did. So fun. And destroyed a lot of my vision also
Ow yeah, before i forget, the gallows are broken and don't reduce the crime level, they only cost maintenance, really not worth the money
