Nice work, good price for a short stay. Just curious,do you come across many snakes or poisonous spiders on your travels in Chiangmai or other areas ? Where have you found the most wild dogs around ? Have you ever been to Maiaek Gardens ? Seen some old videos on UA-cam, looks like a classy place
Thanks! I still haven't seen a snake in Thailand but they're around. I don't see many spiders either. Soi Dogs can be a problem outside of the city. They have took alot of dogs off the streets inside the city but the dogs rule the city at night. South of the city is the most I've seen, they run in big packs. I don't think I've been to Maiaek Gardens, so maybe I'll check it out soon. 👍
Tons of Vespa's about, saw a few GTS. I like that. Lots of Yamaha, and an absolute monsoon of Scoopy's! I wouldn't do a monthly room like you showed unless I was just putting boots down and needed to set myself up, so a month or so is all anyone would need. View from the balcony was pretty horrid, but I guess that's less about the view and more about a place to dry your clothes. That laundromat was nuts, though, I'd certainly go there! Also, you can totally get stains out using cold water--you just gotta pre-treat! pre-treat! pre-treat! Used to work at a laundromat myself and tasked with treating stains. Cold water was all I was allowed to use. 👍 Thanks for the walk! ❤🔥🕉🕊
Yes, lots of Vespas and Scoopys around this area. Lots of people need more than a month, especially with the new visas. So an option for 2 or 3 months is perfect for some. I wish I could get sone stains out , I’ve tried pre treat but with no joy. Thanks
Hi Wayne. I stayed there in SG residence a few years back. The place was good but Jed Yod doesn’t suit me. Apart from the narrow streets with no footpaths, the place is a pig to get out of if you want to go into the city or elsewhere. You used to be able to drop down and out onto the superhighway, and u turn but they blocked that off a couple of years ago. So the only way out was to come out and down suthep road to the Maya traffic lights…. Bloody nightmare! 😂
The lack of paths are a nightmare in Jed Yod but it's an ok area. I went out the highway way mate. yes, I had to go to near Lanna Rama park junction and back down Chang Phuaek. The Huay Kaew road way out near Maya isn't to bad though, I normally go that way. Nightmare in rush hour though, I agree.
SG Residence reminds me of the standard hotel room set up and when you convert 7,500 baht a month to a daily rate then 250 baht a day is a steal, at least half the price than the very average hotel that one stays at generally for the very short term. The second one at 9,500 baht again a steal at around 300 baht a day. Well worth staying at one of those if hanging around CM for a month. Both places appear very quiet too. Thanks for putting these places out there Wayne. Handy to know for sure 🤩
3 in 1 by definition has sugar. It's one of the "3" that's already in the powder. It's instant coffee premixed with cream and sugar. I had same issue in Malaysia. All they had was 3 in 1 and was hard to find ground coffee to make myself.
Bannom's original branch is over on Ratchamri Road (Santitham) - I used to live practically opposite it. That Bannon is their 2nd or 3rd branch. Cool menu and selections though :)
There's a good gym round the from where you started, Mayan Gym, 50bt a day, also on their carpark is Echo Burger, beef cheeseburger and fries, 115bt, excellent value.
@@WalkAboutWayne Got it sir. I saw your cam in inside the hotel room's mirror. Thanks for sharing. Let's do more for various parts of Chiang Mai like Suthrep.

But Chiang mai is far away from Bangkok. I am looking for a budget friendly place to stay in Bangkok for a month. could you please help me to find a place to rent in Bangkok at that price range being same spacious type of condo within same price range and without making any contract and without paying any extra advance rent besides paying for a month rent which i am going to stay during my trip

@@WalkAboutWayne Know the places, but I do not mind to pay 40 or fifty bath for a coffee around old town and in old town. Even to pay 80 bath is the place is nice and can relax with wi fi. I like places like Opera,Ban lai bakery that will be open soon and his brother has another bakery between Loi Kroh and Tha Pai gate road. What CM needs more places with good sound and I like deaf shop even if am very old but still in funk, soul and house music. My fave area is Around Chiang Mai Gate and around Smith even further down.
@@nightrider12soul Sure, nothing wrong with 40 or 50 baht coffees. I went somewhere for 90 today. I normally like my 20/30 baht places but like a higher end place if meeting a lady. Great area around the South Gate. I've got a video of that area coming again soon.
Ideally would like to stay just outside but near to city good transport link and quiet location Could you mention about keeping a property at home and living in Thailand if it’s not too Personal Wayne because that’s what I intend to do.

🤣🤣 What would you expect looking for a hotel at the end of October for Loy Krathong month mate 🤣. Way to late for looking. Places are in major demand for November. Crazy looking for Loy Krathong hotels now. This place is a bargain with no contracts, just plan ahead or wait until Loy Krathong is over. Jet Yod means "7 peaks" as you can (or once could) see 7 mountain peaks from that area. Nice place and good video! Thanks
I have heard about the 7 peaks before and the mountains. Apparently Doi Suthep looks like a sleeping lady also. Cheers.
The Thai word for peak and Jade are very similar, my wife (Thai) has always said its Jed Yod, seven Jade.
Jed Yod, Chang Peauk. My old stomping grounds. Was there for about 4 years living at JC Hill. Awesome community but agreed it's hectic!
