Awesome project man! Definitely something I’d like to build!
I'm definately doing this when I get my 3d printer
Same
Thanks! I'll use Pizza box instead.
Super project
You can also add Wifi (google and Alexa enabled) addressable LED controller so you can control it from your smart phone etc...|They are around £8...
koalajs it’s is a good idea :) for next project :) thanks 🤗
3:50 i'm pretty sure Thongivers.com is not what people are going to expect... XD
Wow,Very Cool 3D Factory.I subbed to you.
Great video!
2 things: 1) we didnt need the looping edm to see how to build this. 2) use a UL/CSA/insert testing standards here certified power supply. If this burns your house down you will thank me later.
Very Nice!!!!!!!
Thanks
super tare Alex.....keep on going BRO
Nice!!
Eiffer tower boy.haha
:).. THANKS
amazing 👍👍👍
EliteForce1uk thanks you .
Congrats, big brother! ❤️
Great job on the Nanoleaf, but the led burn through would bother me!
I had to google Nanoleaf cause this neither nano (microscopic) or biological. Looks like Nanoleaf is an animated wall lamp company that wanted a trendy name.
how many led in 1 box?and how much filament cost printing 1 box?
So he hearts your comment, but doesn't answer the damn question....
@@LegeFles lol
how you skip the coding? you just put together the terminals?
Late reply but in case anyone finds themselves asking the same question; he's using a cheap controller that has a bunch of pre-made codes installed on it. That eliminates the need for a programmed micro-controller and hence there's no coding involved. Those controllers are quite decent for the price, but not quite on par with a code specifically designed for the project.
very nice
Dope Project! Which PLA was used for the diffuser on top?
Yes .. all PLA
Very nice, will start this project very soon! could you please link the wire plugs you are using? Don't really know what to look for... thanks!

Can you please tell us how to wire the hexagons? Are they all in series ? I can see the cabling but not sure how you wired it all.
HI .. and thanks for watching .....
series are connected, and you still need a cable to run the LED from 2 in 2 meters because they lose power on the road.
What about the wiring and how do you run it? Arduino?
siiiick
Song at the end is 🔥🔥 anyone know the name of it?
Nice work !!
please can you tell me what kind of 3d printer you use? thank you
Creality Cr10S
Where did you get the controller from? I cant find it and it didnt come with my lights
💪👍🏼
hello ! really nice tutorial !
By the way , did you put anyting on the glass before the printing? I'm trying this on an ender 3x with a scale model , but the filament is not sticking on the back of the glass bed ( the one with no logo on it )..
Romain Leblanc Thanks for watching, wait until friday, Premier of Nanoleaf Lamp . and you will be able to print with ender 3 without scale it .
@@Fabrica3D wow ! cant wait ! thanks so much guys !
I find cleaning my glass bed with isopropyl alcohol (70% by volume or higher) then preheating my glass bed to 50c and holding at that temp during the print usually does the trick for PLA (as long as the bed is decently level and the extruder isn't too far away from the bed on the first layer). If this isn't working, you can try applying a thin layer of school glue stick and it will definitely hold. The only possible downside is that the bottom of your print won't be quite as smooth. Another option (that I Personally have not tried) is to spray a thin layer of Aqua Net hairspray on your print bed, the finish will be smoother than the glue stick but you just have to be careful not to overspray onto other parts of you printer.
Amazing project! I have to print this at 80% to print on my Prusa Mk3s. Would this project work at 80% without any issues?
what was song at the end thanks
Ikr lmk if you find it out 🔥🔥
Hello, I have a question, what are these white milk covers made of, from which side or I would ask for a link to buy. Thank you.
Is that a cordless glue gun/tool/Applicator that you used to bond the LED strips to the inside of the housings?
Jason Kmecheck Hi , thanks for watching 🤗. here a link with the PenGun , buy from this link is helping my channel. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CI8FDUO/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B00CI8FDUO&linkCode=as2&tag=alexfabrica3d-21&linkId=12ab074b7733b07ac9078d605fcda041
Multa bafta pe viitor!
Alexandru Placinte Multumesc :)
Hello Man , how much pla did you use for print all ? More than 1/3 of pla roll ?
3 -4 rolls ... i did have and some fail ones
Wats the name of the song at the ending
this one very good...why buy 200$ wen u can make less
Wouldn't you need to measure the length of one led segment before designing and printing the panels?
Quah Er Way Yes , i did that . i found first how many led’s it is in one loop and design the panel. i was luck by fitting on 300mm - 300mm print bed. :)
How long did you print
3 days i think , for all
where did you get the controller? can you recomend one?
how much time did it took with wiring and printing.
what was the total cost of this project?
Take me 3 days to print and cost 40£ of filament . and 30£ on led and power supply.
and to put them together, just 2 hours
I wanted to add text to one of the hexagons. How do I add text to stl file ?
you have to put the STL file into a CAD program and from there modify the STL file and start editing, it's not something I can explain in a few words. depends on which CAD program you will use. I WISH YOU SUCCESS :).
Type IP LED stripe what's?
Wow, that looks great! Does anyone know where I can order some of those hexagons(in Europe) ? I don't have a 3d printer. D
contact me on facebook ore instagram . to have a chat about . newer videos have in description the links
Hey, i wanna print these hexagons but I've got a 0.4 nozzle and I'm wondering what I need to change. I tried a print and the bottom and top are only one layer, what did I do wrong? I've also never used Simplify3D
Edit: Ok, I think my Model was too small because I needed to rezise it, any advice on what I can do if I have a smaller model?
Hi , print them with 3 bottom layer at 0.24 hight with your 0.4 nozzle . thanks for watching.
How much does it cost to print it? Make it sense to order it somewhere?
Time of printing one part??? Please
How did you mount it to the wall?
Double side tape and for the power supply i put 2 screws into the wall
@@Fabrica3D thank! did you print a mount where you can put on the tape?
iTryTec Yes . corners :)
Hi,
a very nice project I want to try. But how do you print the top layer without support? I mean, the printer (I have a ne anycubic Mega S) can't print in the air. Do you may have an export from Cura for this ? Do I have to configure something special to get the top layers printed without the support?
Sven Prinz turn it up side down 😎 . don’t need supports 😜
@@Fabrica3D Hi, thanks for the quick answer. So I dont have to print just one file? (V16WALL_LED_FULL.stl) Which ones of the 8 files you uploaded I have to print?
Sven Prinz watch all video . you will understand
@@Fabrica3D I watched it already 10 time. Dont understand. The file: V16WALL_LED_FULL.stl has a bottom and a top layer.
Sven Prinz Just the first STL , the one is full , just print it upside down , on a glass bed .
Hi what is the link for the remote
How many kg of PLA do i need?
Sir can you make one for make I'll pay you
69- Pranav Parab Printing time and production take a long time and cost can be expensive .
You can contact me on facebook, mail ore instagram :) you find the links in description off recent videos
do you recomend a certain type of filiment for this?
white silk filament .. .any brand
spool?
Could it be scaled to fit an ender 3 bed with clips on it?
Yes, just use your slicer to scale it. I am printing a set one right now. I ll msg when its done
@@koalajs was wondering how it'd affect the led strip lengths and wattage runs, etc. Wasn't sure if just scaling down would be that simple
you can try :).
DALOOMSDOO yeah I see your point. I am half way through printing the hexagons and awaiting the addressable leds. I think you can still over lap. But I believe all depends on the controller to see how it creates the effects. I will figure it out once I receive the leds and the controller
It worked, please see the ua-cam.com/video/clBApBYEtp4/v-deo.html. :)
Does anyone have a cura export for this?
if you have both cura and fusion 360 you can do it yourself.
"Budget...project". First, need a 3D printer....
Well, it isn't cost too much, you can get cheap one for less then 200$, and normal for 250$. Of course it's isn't perfect, but for home uses that would be enough
Music was so cancer to listen to over and over and over!
