Catherine seems to understand childhood development generally. Not sure about William as I haven't seen him with many children. Except for that photo of him with the baby in Singapore. That baby is too young to know how to fake an expression. William looked equally thrilled to meet the baby. I admire and respect their focus on their family. They set an example worthy of following. It's upsetting when Catherine and other mothers are criticized for prioritizing their children. As someone whose own parents were distant, and showed little interest in their children (beyond insuring we had food and clothes), I live the effects of neglectful, selfish parents every day. If Catherine and William came out and said we are going to exclusively focus on our children and family, I would still admire and respect them. Well adjusted, happy children grow into well adjusted happy adults. That is essential to society. And what happened to women supporting women whatever choices they make?

M really was affronted at having to curtsy to more senior royals and wanted equal billing and status as William and Catherine. In my opinion that’s why they left because she couldn’t learn the skills , wasn’t interested in the tradition and history or understand the meaning of service. Like in my family, we are also not supposed to wear black unless during funerals or wakes, and we also have to behave in a certain way as to not embarrass the older members of our family. Exactly! Not to mention keeping quiet and just being polite even if not extremely friendly means no one can point to anything you've done as cruel or wrong. Which is why Meg has to make stuff up about how she was treated! If she told the truth and said they were unfailingly polite but didn't immediately jump into a deep relationship very quickly like I wanted them too, she would have been laughed at 😂 to Meg, wanting to take a relationship slow and let it build naturally, that **feels** like rejection. Everyone says shes a narcissist and maybe so. But I believe she has a personality disorder on the same spectrum but a little different, borderline personality disorder. She either absolutely loves you and after the tiniest thing she hates you and you're evil. The most smallest of innocent things she takes as a personal rejection and attack. She won't change because I don't believe she is capable of it. Think about how difficult it is to make even the smallest lifestyle changes permanent. Such as eating healthier or exercising more. That's so difficult, and take such a huge amount of time energy effort and self discipline that the vast majority (something like 90%) are back to their old ways by 3 months. The vast majority of people fail their new years resolution and have given up on them by March. So to make HUGE personality and moral changes that she would have to make to be a good person, that would take a MASSIVE amount of dedication, self discipline time and effort, and literally changing the chemistry in your brain by seeing a psychiatrist and going through intensive therapy. And even then it would still most likely fail. That's why I don't believe people can fundamentally change who they are. Especially when it comes to core parts of your personality especially especially when you're after 30. After that your brain just isn't as elastic anymore. Your personality is basically set in stone.

Some Americans seem to view the British royals as hereditary celebrities. When I was younger I thought so too and wondered, what do they do? I know better now and while I wouldn't want one in the US, I appreciate its role and importance. And I respect and admire individuals within the monarchy. I only recently learned more about Anne and she's definitely one of my favorites. Although I will never be royal her no nonsense, no drama attitude is one worth learning from.
Isn’t Katie keen one of the characters in mm’s favourite comic Archie, I don’t think it was sold in the UK, it’s another indication she was involved in writing this book, a lot of the stuff he put in it was reported as far back as 50 years ago, I thought he was touting the book as being about the RF fight for survival, so I don’t understand why he has included all the old stuff, the author is coming across as petty, jealous, bitter and vicious, it’s all his opinions without any evidence, he could have named the names without fear of a libel suit if the information was true.
I've only read the early release excerpts and if they are representative of the remaining content, the book fails to deliver on showing the monarchy fighting for survival. The monarchy has faced real threats in the past. Normal family tensions, individual idiosyncrasies aren't threats.
MM's 'hit the ground running' is one of the most irritating ways of approaching doing a good job. IMO it shows lack of regard of what you need to do to be successful - as she showed within 2 years.

Catherine has practical experience in both those issues that give her more authority and clout on them. She also does not go solo, rather includes working teams, introduces specialist experts and hubs of recipients who benefit the most. She executes her passion projects from an educated perspective and a long-term angle. It's clear that she's not doing these for brownie points, pats on the back, or awards for herself, but rather to generate a nation of well-rounded achievers of parents/carers and children.
I wonder if part of that is due to M's behavior? Because she acts like a teenager so people perceive her as younger. People age. She needs to accept it.

As of today I’m reassured by knowing that the sales of this ridiculous book reflect how “not seriously” most people are taking Omid’s opinions. I hope Catherine is able to dismiss this nonsense and continue doing what she does. She is NOT lazy, and she works regularly and hard for the RF. Meghan, on the other hand, managed only 72 engagements in two years. I don’t believe any of his assertions about the RF. You made all the important points.
We also have to remember Catherine was really ill with each pregnancy. The Queen and Charles both wanted Catherine and William to concentrate on their family while the children were young hence William leaving the military went on to fly air ambulance. Also with Catherine's main charitable work being early childcare having 3 children and a hands on mum, no one can say she knows nothing of child rearing. You must also Adelaide Cottage has just 4 bedrooms no staff quarters, yes they do have staff to babysit when needed ( official engagements) but the rest of the time it is just the 2 of them looking after their children. It is illogical what Scobie says about Catherine, we see her doing so much, Salisbury Plain with the army, yacht racing with all female teams, tennis with Federer at Wimbledon she is more an action girl than a stepford wife, when visiting children always appropriately dressed, no thousands in jewellery and she gets down with them. On the other hand she looks stunning at the state banquets and the dressier side of her duties, also when given the cost of her clothes they are not so expensive as to be totally out of the pocket of the rest of us, if I needed something really very special, a lot of her stuff is in the ballpark of obtainable. The other thing she does is re-wear her clothes, sometimes with minor alterations, she has even been known to hire an outfit. It is obvious that Scobie is attacking Catherine to please Meghan, because Catherine is everything that Meghan is not, she works hard, hands on mum, looks great in everything she wears and her public speaking is getting better, she does not need to be the center of attention, if she is working it's to shine the spotlight on the cause not herself, she does not need self publicity or match up and down car parks so a pap photographer can get a photo. Meghan is green with envy , Catherine is now a princess ( Princess of Wales ) and one day she will be Queen. Catherine has everything Meghan wants.

I dunno about kids doing better with at home moms. My prof went over this and the conclusion was that the single most important factor for a child’s well being was a warm mother. She could be a working mother or an at home mother, but warm was the critical part. Assuming all other factors were equal, ie not a drug addict. A content mother aligned with a warm mother. So if she was an at home mom with career drive she might not be so content and warm toward her child. Some kids, those with the mothers with issues, were better off with full time day care, and after school daycare. I think Catherine is the kind of woman with a strong drive to be at home with her kids, and if she can do more of that, the happier she will be, making her a healthier mom. Making healthier kids.
@@Charlee88184 Wow, I had not heard of child deaths during Covid. What country are you talking about? We did not have that in Canada. In BC schools closed from March 18, and reopened in classroom June 1, so closed about 2 months. Our kids didn’t lose too much learning or socialization time. Our head Doc planned it that way, she knew if kids missed a year they wouldn’t recover it and would always be behind. We had a lot of nursing home deaths, very sad.
And the percentage of sudden infant deaths went DOWN significantly, due to new mothers delaying early doc visits and therefore delaying far too early given vx. Look up the list of vx for children in the USA, it is at least 3x any other English speaking country.
My mother was stay at home for the first 8 or 9 years of my life. She eventually went back to school and then worked outside the home. At no time was she warm or aligned. If she wasn't a narcissist, she had strong narcissistic traits. I live with the effects every day. I agree with the professor.
This is a good point. My mother worked my whole life but it was what fulfilled her and made her better able to care for me with warmth and love. If she had stayed home against her wishes, I’m sure she would have felt resentment and would have struggled more in her parenting of me. Interestingly, I stay home with my kids and I know I’m so much happier being a stay at home mom instead of working (and so thankful I’m able to do that). And I’m a better mom that way. So yeah. If mom’s happy, everyone’s happy lol. Edited to add: I have a good friend who did not like staying home with her kids - it was too stressful for her. So she went back to work and her husband chose to stay home with the kids, which he was very happy to do. Their family thrived under this arrangement 😊
When Meghan was mishandling Archie and his legs were spilling over her arms at a polo event, Catherine got up to offer help but then sat down again. I think she offered and Meghan said “I have Harry” so something equally arrogant. Meghan declined help time after time. They have no accountability and misremember all unfavourable decisions they took ever since.

The "Katie Keene" nickname is DIRECTLY from the other one's wife. She talked in her podcast (I think, or it was an interview) about how much she loved the comic strip "Archie" as a kid. And she makes fun of the Katie Keen character from that comic on air! She talks about how she's more like a different female character from the comic, not the "goody-two-shoes" Katie character who's portrayed as an eager, ass-kissing goody-goody. 😡😡 Edit: I just love this video, it's absolutely spot-on in perspective, a fantastic, well-thought-out piece! 😊💜👏👏👏
Apparently in this published drivel by Scobie, he says that George III abdicated in 1820. I guess for Scobie abdicate is a synonym for die because that's what George III did in 1820. Scobie was extremely misogynistic in his comments about the Princess of Wales and the Queen. When he implied that Catherine just went on engagements and smiled, he showed his true colours and that if his handlers. When Catherine is out taking part in rugby practice, abseiling, playing hockey, cricket, tennis, spin class (in skirt and heels) etc. Yeah, she just goes out to smile. If Catherine would attended 300 engagements a year, Scobie would have written that she was a bad mother because she was ignoring her kids. Whatever she did, Scobie would have criticized. It's interesting that Scobie says Catherine ignored Meghan's 'cries for help' but Harry has said he didn’t tell anyone so how would Catherine know. Scobie has shown himself to be a total liar with the issues with the Dutch translation. He threw the blame on the poor translators knowing he had turned in a draft including those names.
He must have got very nervous these last few days, after the Dutch publisher stood their ground over it, and now he says 'woops..it was me'. Doesn't want to get sued.
I live in Canada but because we’re part of the commonwealth I have always considered the monarchy as part of us. What I’ve always admired about them is their PR work. That they live their lives to the best of their abilities setting a respectful manner that is so admirable. They truly show how they care about people in difficult times. I’m heartsick that they are being verbally attacked. On a much, much smaller scale I was involved in a public job. Because we were making great strides in our endeavor I was persecuted. To the point where I couldn’t take it mentally. I quit 😢. So I truly worry for Princess Katherine having have this happen. As I also worry for all the royals who are being unfairly targeted. So Catherine is timid and cold,according to what's his name. I find this hard to believe because she always looks and acts like she is enjoying what she is doing. So while Catherine she doing to help and encourage children and mother's to get help if they need it, help with early childhood or mental health issues. I would also point out - the Meg is OLDER than all of them. You would expect that this older "self made professional woman who had a career of her own" would either have it together a little better OR be somewhat unwilling to take advice from those younger (and given everything we know about Markle, can you imagine if Catherine approached her to say something along the lines of "looks like you need a hand, what can I do to help" - it is an extremely safe bet that it would have been misconstrued - Catherine can't even keep lip gloss without it being seen as a slight against the Meg. It is well known Scabies was desperate to be a part of the Royal Rota and he was denied (not only by journalists, but by Prince William himself). Why? Bc of the tabloid hack that he is. What does he do? He aligns himself with the other victim of every hour, the Meg and they decide that everyone in the Royal family must pay for their not getting what they want. Catherine did not know about MM's struggles. H, himself, said he didn't tell anyone in the family. Nor did he call the therapist he had on speed dial (as we know from the dog bowl incident) for her. But when he allegedly said W broke his necklace he immediately contact his shrink who he had on speed dial. These 2 are compulsive liars and drama addicts. Catherine seems to understand childhood development generally. Not sure about William as I haven't seen him with many children. Except for that photo of him with the baby in Singapore. That baby is too young to know how to fake an expression. William looked equally thrilled to meet the baby.
I admire and respect their focus on their family. They set an example worthy of following.
It's upsetting when Catherine and other mothers are criticized for prioritizing their children. As someone whose own parents were distant, and showed little interest in their children (beyond insuring we had food and clothes), I live the effects of neglectful, selfish parents every day. If Catherine and William came out and said we are going to exclusively focus on our children and family, I would still admire and respect them.
Well adjusted, happy children grow into well adjusted happy adults. That is essential to society.

Exactly! Not to mention keeping quiet and just being polite even if not extremely friendly means no one can point to anything you've done as cruel or wrong. Which is why Meg has to make stuff up about how she was treated! If she told the truth and said they were unfailingly polite but didn't immediately jump into a deep relationship very quickly like I wanted them too, she would have been laughed at 😂 to Meg, wanting to take a relationship slow and let it build naturally, that **feels** like rejection. Everyone says shes a narcissist and maybe so. But I believe she has a personality disorder on the same spectrum but a little different, borderline personality disorder. She either absolutely loves you and after the tiniest thing she hates you and you're evil. The most smallest of innocent things she takes as a personal rejection and attack.
She won't change because I don't believe she is capable of it. Think about how difficult it is to make even the smallest lifestyle changes permanent. Such as eating healthier or exercising more. That's so difficult, and take such a huge amount of time energy effort and self discipline that the vast majority (something like 90%) are back to their old ways by 3 months. The vast majority of people fail their new years resolution and have given up on them by March. So to make HUGE personality and moral changes that she would have to make to be a good person, that would take a MASSIVE amount of dedication, self discipline time and effort, and literally changing the chemistry in your brain by seeing a psychiatrist and going through intensive therapy. And even then it would still most likely fail. That's why I don't believe people can fundamentally change who they are. Especially when it comes to core parts of your personality especially especially when you're after 30. After that your brain just isn't as elastic anymore. Your personality is basically set in stone.
That's also part of the mystery. Unlike the couple who think it is a requirement for the public to know everything about their miserable life.

Some Americans seem to view the British royals as hereditary celebrities. When I was younger I thought so too and wondered, what do they do?
I know better now and while I wouldn't want one in the US, I appreciate its role and importance. And I respect and admire individuals within the monarchy. I only recently learned more about Anne and she's definitely one of my favorites. Although I will never be royal her no nonsense, no drama attitude is one worth learning from.

I've only read the early release excerpts and if they are representative of the remaining content, the book fails to deliver on showing the monarchy fighting for survival.
The monarchy has faced real threats in the past. Normal family tensions, individual idiosyncrasies aren't threats.
MM's 'hit the ground running' is one of the most irritating ways of approaching doing a good job. IMO it shows lack of regard of what you need to do to be successful - as she showed within 2 years.

She also does not go solo, rather includes working teams, introduces specialist experts and hubs of recipients who benefit the most. It's clear that she's not doing these for brownie points, pats on the back, or awards for herself, but rather to generate a nation of well-rounded achievers of parents/carers and children.

It is illogical what Scobie says about Catherine, we see her doing so much, Salisbury Plain with the army, yacht racing with all female teams, tennis with Federer at Wimbledon she is more an action girl than a stepford wife, when visiting children always appropriately dressed, no thousands in jewellery and she gets down with them. On the other hand she looks stunning at the state banquets and the dressier side of her duties, also when given the cost of her clothes they are not so expensive as to be totally out of the pocket of the rest of us, if I needed something really very special, a lot of her stuff is in the ballpark of obtainable. The other thing she does is re-wear her clothes, sometimes with minor alterations, she has even been known to hire an outfit.

I dunno about kids doing better with at home moms. My prof went over this and the conclusion was that the single most important factor for a child’s well being was a warm mother. She could be a working mother or an at home mother, but warm was the critical part. Assuming all other factors were equal, ie not a drug addict. A content mother aligned with a warm mother. So if she was an at home mom with career drive she might not be so content and warm toward her child. Some kids, those with the mothers with issues, were better off with full time day care, and after school daycare. I think Catherine is the kind of woman with a strong drive to be at home with her kids, and if she can do more of that, the happier she will be, making her a healthier mom. Making healthier kids.

In BC schools closed from March 18, and reopened in classroom June 1, so closed about 2 months. Our kids didn’t lose too much learning or socialization time. Our head Doc planned it that way, she knew if kids missed a year they wouldn’t recover it and would always be behind. We had a lot of nursing home deaths, very sad.
And the percentage of sudden infant deaths went DOWN significantly, due to new mothers delaying early doc visits and therefore delaying far too early given vx.
Look up the list of vx for children in the USA, it is at least 3x any other English speaking country.
My mother was stay at home for the first 8 or 9 years of my life. She eventually went back to school and then worked outside the home.
At no time was she warm or aligned. If she wasn't a narcissist, she had strong narcissistic traits.

This is a good point. My mother worked my whole life but it was what fulfilled her and made her better able to care for me with warmth and love. If she had stayed home against her wishes, I’m sure she would have felt resentment and would have struggled more in her parenting of me. Interestingly, I stay home with my kids and I know I’m so much happier being a stay at home mom instead of working (and so thankful I’m able to do that). And I’m a better mom that way. So yeah. If mom’s happy, everyone’s happy lol.
Edited to add: I have a good friend who did not like staying home with her kids - it was too stressful for her. So she went back to work and her husband chose to stay home with the kids, which he was very happy to do. Their family thrived under this arrangement 😊

I think she offered and Meghan said “I have Harry” so something equally arrogant. Meghan declined help time after time. They have no accountability and misremember all unfavourable decisions they took ever since.

I read somewhere that the Wales' fly commercial when it's a non working trip, because the expense is out of THEIR personal pockets. When they fly private, it has to be a special circumstance when commercial is not possible. It has to do with spending the people's money wisely as everything is submitted, documented and budgeted.

Apparently in this published drivel by Scobie, he says that George III abdicated in 1820. I guess for Scobie abdicate is a synonym for die because that's what George III did in 1820.

I live in Canada but because we’re part of the commonwealth I have always considered the monarchy as part of us. What I’ve always admired about them is their PR work. That they live their lives to the best of their abilities setting a respectful manner that is so admirable. They truly show how they care about people in difficult times.
I’m heartsick that they are being verbally attacked. On a much, much smaller scale I was involved in a public job. Because we were making great strides in our endeavor I was persecuted. To the point where I couldn’t take it mentally. I quit 😢. So I truly worry for Princess Katherine having have this happen. As I also worry for all the royals who are being unfairly targeted.

I would also point out - the Meg is OLDER than all of them. You would expect that this older "self made professional woman who had a career of her own" would either have it together a little better OR be somewhat unwilling to take advice from those younger (and given everything we know about Markle, can you imagine if Catherine approached her to say something along the lines of "looks like you need a hand, what can I do to help" - it is an extremely safe bet that it would have been misconstrued - Catherine can't even keep lip gloss without it being seen as a slight against the Meg.
