Seriously Alistair and his "burn the witch" pissed me off so much throughout the game.
his problem isn't with her being a witch I think, he doesn't have a problem with a blood mage warden or wynne or any other mages tbh. I think he hates morrigan because she burns him at every corner and he's insecure about his level of intelligence.
Mike Morrigan does have the better understanding although slightly twisted true love is in deed a combanation of passion, respect between equals, physical attraction and a great many things
It's great how everyone warns you of her, including herself, and in the end she is the only BW romance ever that ends with you two starting a loving family.
Okay, but lets be honest about it... Either she has an old god child, which was conceived not out of love, but out of neccesity and Morrigan's need to "collect power"(even Flemeth said, that her habit of collecting unique objects and power Morrigan inherited after her) or it happened as pure accident before the last attack. But it's true that she became more mature, more caring and even changed her attitude a little. And my Warden will always find her and will go with her(aside from the fact, that she may be the only person except Flemeth and Avernus, who could help u defeat calling, so yes, maybe my Warden is little selfish too).
@@HanithSVK She is more mature, and maybe child WAS conceived not out of love - in DAI she ready to put herself, before Flemeth, to defend her kid. That's character arc in it's finest.
@@HanithSVKI doubt that the child was conceived only to collect a rare curiosity. In Witch Hunt Morrigan says that whatever inhabits Flemeth (we know what it is after Inquisition) has something huge in mind and that the child is instrumental in whatever it is. Given how heavily that dialogue foreshadows Inquisition, I'd say it's still to be trusted.
Funny that roughly ten years later she's essentially happily married (not that she would admit to it) with a well adjusted (but possibly unusual) son and far happier than she had ever been before.
This is one of my favorite character relationships in the series. Morrigan is this cold calculated bitch because she was raised by one. The first person to actually show her true kindess, loyalty and love throws her for a loop and it actually turns her around by the time of Inquisition. She's a loving devoted mother willing to sacrifice herself for her son and speaks fondly of The Warden when asked of him, showing that she does truly love them both despite her past claims of love being a weakness.
I love the genuine shock on Flemeths face when Morrigan fights for her son. It shows actual surprise on her part on how much her own daughter has changed.
That is good to know. I could never get through any of the games after the first one. I played an old wizard dude named "Mandalf". Also team "qunari are normal looking guys without stupid horns" rules.
I mean given how both of you have darkspawn blood in your veins and he is your senior by a few months... yes... yes he is technically your bigger brother
Definitely more like a little brother who's whiny and jealous his big brother is growing up and finding love. Despite his seniority as a warden Alistair is only about 18-20 in DA:O, the Warden depending on origin is more like 20-29 in age
I know Bioware has said before that it would be difficult to bring back the Warden but I really hope they find some way to incorporate him in a future game. To see Kieran, Morrigan, and him together at once would be incredibly satisfying.
the reason why it would be difficult for Bioware is cuz the Warden doesn't have a voice actor and the company knows that people will get angry if there is only one voice actor for each gender.
I feel like if enough people petitioned it, Bioware could figure something out. I mean this in the nicest possible way, but if any company can contrive a reason to have the Warden resurrected/just show up, it would be the people who made Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

Well Morrigan does know what happens to Wardens when they fight the Archdemon. She is 100% correct in her assessment of what will come of her love of the Warden if they don't have the old god baby. Either the Warden, Alastair or Loghain dies if they don't do the ritual.
Of the entire dragon age series she is my favorite romance option and my favorite character. Isabella sails in at second with Cassandra swinging into third
firesprite1123 Cass romance makes my heart melt, I love her, out of my 3 playthroughs I’ve romanced her twice, and the second one was because I was a woman lol
@@mithrandirsilvertongue1406 I didn't know Cass was straight until about a third of the way through the game. lol Oh well Actually, both she and Morrigan. They're both wonderful romance options. /sigh
Venom Quill I thought they could’ve made Cass gay, but she has a hidden sweet feminine side to her, and I never really thought Morrigan as gay, maybe potentially bi, but she do be jealous of Leliana when her and the Warden do the hanky panky lmao
Memento Mori well Alistair sees the Warden as his bff, and it’s quite common for male friends, esp. if one of them is single, to become jealous of their friends woman, because what was once attention they received, is now shifted mostly towards the woman, and when someone receives certain special attention, and that is then taken away, then it sucks, it makes sense...
She loved him from the get-go. She denied that she "loved" him. But if she didn't, she wouldn't defend her loyalty to him. It's fitting she is the only character that the warden starts a family with
Don't forget why she did it. She wanted to raise the Soul of an Old God and teach it to respect where it came from. Grey Wardens' chance of producing offspring is very rare, that's likely why no other romance produces children.
Course the joke's on Morgan. If you play witch Hunt and you play your cards right, you go with her wherever she goes and she admits her love. It's a beautiful thing.
I love how the whole first game paints morrigan as untrustworthy, no one likes her, everyone tells you sleeping with her is a bad idea, the whole making a kid with her thing is so sus that the warden canonically doesn't do it And then every game after that goes "yeah she was on the up and up the whole time, leliana is just jealous because she was in love with the warden, and Alistair was just insecure." If you romance her she is portrayed as nothing but loving and devoted and immediately takes you back without a second thought in witch hunt if you go looking for her to reunite with her because she really does want to raise a family with the warden. Morrigan never once betrays the trust the warden gives her throughout the game, making everyone's reactions to her in the first game even funnier in retrospect
Someone freely gives you the love and trust that you yourself didn't even know you wanted, despite you genuinely believing that you don't deserve it, you realize you need it more than anything. You damn well won't betray the one who gives it to you.
I played Inquisition where she has Kieran (my warden went with her through the Eluvian in Witch Hunt) and it's incredible how much she had changed. In my current playthrough of Inquisition I set it to the opposite scenario and she hasn't changed at all. It's incredible how the warden and Kieran are such a good influence on her.
@@literallyanangrymoose7717 for real. Is strange tho as the romance goes on she start to somewhat ship it as Morrigan become more soft. Or atleast in my game.
I finally got to playing Dragon Age back in 2016 and MY GOD, Morrigan romanced me in real life, I'm not a cynic so I always saw through her bullshit. Still, something about femme fatales (I know what you mean Geralt...) The best part is how simple answers often disarm her whole practical and shrewd philosophies.(All hail Sten, King of Straight Answer) I will always remember my first run of DAO and the Morrigan romance. The writing and the voice acting of this game was insane like very few games come close
Sure, Morrigan isn't very friendly but damn does everybody HAVE to be so fucking mean to her?? It's not her fault she's more interesting then everyone else. They're literally accusing her of bewitching the player as if we aren't capable of making our own decisions. I don't romance Morrigan because she's a "pretty lady" I do it because of her worldview and experiences offer a lot of insight into things. She's COOL
Ahhh Morrigan. One of the most evil companions in dragon age. Ways to get into the "evil" cast: 1.Be a traitor 2.Try to kill the protagonist at least once 3. Encourage evil choices 4. Show no mercy, even when possible. 5. Blow up the chantry (FUCK YOU ANDERS!).
The fact that Morrigan gets so "whatever, i don't care" in DAO is so wholesome because how she is in inquisition, that canon and nobody will tell me otherwise
In Dragon Age 4 they should have the warden and hawke following the inquisitor, only for them to bring up how their companions always talk like they aren't there, only to freak out when the inquisitor actually comments on it.
There won't be another masterpiece like Dragon Age Origins coming out of Bioware ever again. I don't want them even considering to continue the Warden's story after how bad Andromeda flopped. We can thank EA for that.
cartoon it may not have been as good as Origins, but at least it was fun to play and had some good DLCs. Andromeda was simply rushed and flopped, like many games before it, like many games to come...
What can you expect when they have the D team working on Andromeda while the A team is busy with Anthem. I enjoyed Andromeda. It certainly has its flaws but it was a good time.
Man, this game had probably the best companion cast Bioware has ever made. Morrigan, Alistair, Leliana, even oghren and sten and rest are awesome. Kreia may be the best companion of all Bioware games, but rest of the cast of DA:O outshadows Kotor 2 i think.
It is nice though how despite her evading questions and giving vague answers and telling lies to everyone who bring it up, she had legitimate and passionate levels of feelings for the warden. The dlc is a fine example. She finally tells some truth, she states that she left because she was worried that he might get hurt around her and still ends up welcoming you back to her with open arms if you just tell her you will always chase her. That unlike so many others, you will NEVER leave her side. Never leave her all alone. The first one who doesn't try to manipulate her as she has always been and because of which manipulates others. The only one to love her. Despite her flaws. The first to show what she was missing.
Morrigan is the most wonderful video game character ever. I can't help but play dragon age origins and witch-hunt dlc over and over. She is my woman crush and I love and adore her.
Fun fact: if you keep Morrigan's ring all the way from Origins to Witch Hunt, Morrigan acknowledges it at the end of the latter. "I stayed because I sensed your approach... You kept the ring...." ^ this small detail alone made it worth it playing through Awakening, GoA, and WH with that useless +2 willpower ring never leaving my inventory 😂 Morrigan is best girl.
"And what is it you think Im doing/... other than the Grey Warden of course...", lolol.... the funniest line in the game... so good, I love Morrigans sarcastic smugness.. especially towards Alistair, the pair of them are hilarious at times... .. DA:Inquisition, is a great game but far too serious, shouldve had funnier dialogue :)
I remember in Orzammar where Leilana and Morrigan had a small catfight over my Warden, on whoever got to him first in terms of spending time with either, though I treated Leilana as a friend since I picked Morrigan.

I honestly really regret killing him in my first playthrough of this game XD
oh you poor poor soil killing good Zevran
I managed to keep Zevran alive in my game.
You at least met him. I didn't even encounter him during my first playthrough, let alone killing him. Same with Isabella in the second part.
Funny thing is, if you romanced him, she tells him pretty much the same thing he told her in that scene lol.
I mean let’s be real
Killing Zevran is only a bad idea in hindsight, I think the warden would kill Zevran unless he took his crazy pills that morning
*_I know no such love_*
Proceeds to call the warden *_my love_* constantly.
Leliana: “Love is such a wonderful thing.”
Morrigan: “Love is a weakness. Love is cancer. Love is death.”
Warden: “...”
Well Morrigan does know what happens to Wardens when they fight the Archdemon. She is 100% correct in her assessment of what will come of her love of the Warden if they don't have the old god baby. Either the Warden, Alastair or Loghain dies if they don't do the ritual.
The mouth on Morrigan, god damn. No wonder I fell in love
Not gonna lie but i really like merrilr as a romance in 2
Bro, same
@@mithrandirsilvertongue1406 I didn't know Cass was straight until about a third of the way through the game. lol Oh well Actually, both she and Morrigan.
What is it you think I'm doing, besides the Grey Warden that is? 😂😂
Morrigan as savage as ever 😂😂
Everyone: "Holy moly, the Warden and Morrigan? Craaaazy."
Dog: :3
This is why the dog is best boy.
Ohhh, Now I want to play Dragon Age: Origins again!!! 😊
Orders Hospitaller ME TOO! I finally want to make a Morrigan romance...
@@mithrandirsilvertongue1406 I always have romance only with Morrigan
@@bohdansmoldas337 Same here!!!
DA:O what a great game. Morrigan, Leliana & my main man Oghren, what a party we used to be.
Crazy how ever since Veilguard came out I have been getting nothing but Dragon Age Origins recommendations on UA-cam.
Should just change the name of the vid to smart ass morrigan rekts companions
Only Shale actually one-upped her. Love that pile of rocks.
"And what is it that you think I am doing? Besides the Grey Warden, that is.."
OOOOF!!!
I love how she turned out to be the best romance. You start a family and she turns out to be very loving and devoted to her son and husband.
I'm still mad that shale hasn't come back
Bet she will in DA4 though. She's suppossed to be in Tevinter and DA4 will likely be too.
I am more pissed anout oghren,I havent played second and third game but now it's full internet who are companions:D:D
Oghren is the best character in Dragon Age
She is in D A inquisition.
wait what,where
Ah, Morrigan. Always so catty.
Here, to remind myself, how actual adults talk to each other, after I played Veilguard :(
Facts
100% this.
No, you're here to validate your shit comment about Veilguard.
You don't really care about Dragon Age.
you can't romance Alistair as a man but I love how he sounds so jealous
I have romanced alliastar
Memento Mori well Alistair sees the Warden as his bff, and it’s quite common for male friends, esp. if one of them is single, to become jealous of their friends woman, because what was once attention they received, is now shifted mostly towards the woman, and when someone receives certain special attention, and that is then taken away, then it sucks, it makes sense...
@Zakku no you can't, unless you have a mod.
I have with no mod nor having to woo zevran. But then again i play om xbox 360 so maybe dofferent from pc version.
Lmfao you can romance everyone with any character in the first game aside from Shale, Wynn and Sten.
To be honest that DAO was the best Dragon Age, for me at least ^-^
yes, nothing has compared, really. I did fall in love with Fenris but the whole of DOA was truly magical!
I think its equal to da2, but thats just my opnion
She loved him from the get-go. She denied that she "loved" him. But if she didn't, she wouldn't defend her loyalty to him. It's fitting she is the only character that the warden starts a family with
Don't forget why she did it. She wanted to raise the Soul of an Old God and teach it to respect where it came from. Grey Wardens' chance of producing offspring is very rare, that's likely why no other romance produces children.
@@garyharvey1195well till inquisition she's a really loving mother
Course the joke's on Morgan. If you play witch Hunt and you play your cards right, you go with her wherever she goes and she admits her love. It's a beautiful thing.
I still think this is the best looking dragon age
Warden really went "I can fix her", then did.
"She can't be a good influence for him!"
The Warden: "I Dint know you see me as your brother, Alistair"
Huh...good to know that Wynne thinks I only fell for Morrigan because I thought she looked pretty. Thanks grandma lovin the vote of confidence.
Granny Wynn eventually comes around actually and later gives her approval to the Warden and Morrigan :-)
I thought the compliment part was the dangerous, cunning and deceitful part. The beauty was just a nice bonus.
Granny Wynne just being understanding as always
I love how the whole first game paints morrigan as untrustworthy, no one likes her, everyone tells you sleeping with her is a bad idea, the whole making a kid with her thing is so sus that the warden canonically doesn't do it
And then every game after that goes "yeah she was on the up and up the whole time, leliana is just jealous because she was in love with the warden, and Alistair was just insecure."
If you romance her she is portrayed as nothing but loving and devoted and immediately takes you back without a second thought in witch hunt if you go looking for her to reunite with her because she really does want to raise a family with the warden.
God, I came here to remember the good times in Dragon Age and Morrigan is STILL the sassiest bitch in Thedas.
…God, I love her! 😊
I would love it during one of these talks the Warden just stops and goes "I can hear all of this you know? I'm standing right here!"
That dragon age 3
What mods did you use? Armors look good, and Morrigan...Looks far better than anywhere...ever...except DAI
Conrad Lionel El'Dragon i wanna know too
Fuck mods just put on some 3D glasses. The old kind with the red and blue sides. Makes it look like real life so fucking immersive
Try "SJC's Better Morrigan" mod, It's the closest thing to DAI's Morrigan
fucking spiff lol
For some reason, I think these mods look better than the original DAI ones.
I miss great characters having greatly written dialogue in a great game coming from Bioware.
Where are you, good Old Bioware? Please come back.
@Thien T. Tran Not true, sadly. Bioware started to go woke and get broke. Not EA but farliberal LGBTQP propaganda ruined the series.
6:07 the moment you bring home that girl you like and your mom doesn’t like her
All of us look for that woman that mom warned us about.
Can’t wait for Veilgaurd when Morrigan has no knowledge of the Warden or her son cause the developers couldn’t be f**ked.
All the memories are rushing at once oh god
"that woman is a vile fiend" she is like the best romance in the game in my opinion
Leliana was jealous methinks
@@literallyanangrymoose7717 for real. Is strange tho as the romance goes on she start to somewhat ship it as Morrigan become more soft. Or atleast in my game.
I finally got to playing Dragon Age back in 2016 and
MY GOD, Morrigan romanced me in real life, I'm not a cynic so I always saw through her bullshit. Still, something about femme fatales (I know what you mean Geralt...)
The best part is how simple answers often disarm her whole practical and shrewd philosophies.(All hail Sten, King of Straight Answer) I will always remember my first run of DAO and the Morrigan romance.
She's COOL
Damn morrigan, now I need to buy this game
Nariko Hikurashi get the dlcs they help a lot when trying to gain friendship and exp/gold
if you play on PC, the complete edition is on GOG for just 20 bucks
Do it. I've only played it recently, and although the graphics are a bit dated, I enjoyed it far more than DA:2 and Inquisition. Really great game.
For sure do it. It took me ages to get into the game. But WOW you learn so much lore and it makes the other two games just "click"
DO IT!!!
"What are you talking about? Is this more of your insipidness?" Oh, Morrigan - ouch!
Morrigan: Witch of the Wilds and queen of sass.
With the small mentions of their relationship in dai it shows this is the best thing to happen to Morrigan.
2:44 Oghren is such a dirty old dwarf. He might actually be worse than Roshi, Sanji, and Jiraiya combined. XD
Ahhh Morrigan. One of the most evil companions in dragon age. Ways to get into the "evil" cast:
1.Be a traitor
2.Try to kill the protagonist at least once
3. Encourage evil choices
4. Show no mercy, even when possible.
5. Blow up the chantry (FUCK YOU ANDERS!).
The fact that Morrigan gets so "whatever, i don't care" in DAO is so wholesome because how she is in inquisition, that canon and nobody will tell me otherwise
0:33 "if I feel the need to suck on anything of yours, Alistair, you'll be the first to know"
Damn, Morrigan. ^_^
In Dragon Age 4 they should have the warden and hawke following the inquisitor, only for them to bring up how their companions always talk like they aren't there, only to freak out when the inquisitor actually comments on it.
I really miss old Bioware 😢
New Bioware doesn't even know what they're doing anymore
Damn. I want to play again just to cleanse off the... you know what.
There won't be another masterpiece like Dragon Age Origins coming out of Bioware ever again. I don't want them even considering to continue the Warden's story after how bad Andromeda flopped. We can thank EA for that.
Tuong Lu Kim inquisition sucks
cartoon it may not have been as good as Origins, but at least it was fun to play and had some good DLCs. Andromeda was simply rushed and flopped, like many games before it, like many games to come...
Tuong Lu Kim Don't worry man, I plan to make dragon age great again
What can you expect when they have the D team working on Andromeda while the A team is busy with Anthem.
I enjoyed Andromeda. It certainly has its flaws but it was a good time.
Well I think Drgaon age will be a different case it has always been good buuuuut yeah if could be baf
One of the best NPCs in history. Absolutely love her.
Zevran: I know what you are doing.
Morrigan: What do you think I am doing? Besides the Grey Warden, that is.
cracks me up
Man, this game had probably the best companion cast Bioware has ever made. Morrigan, Alistair, Leliana, even oghren and sten and rest are awesome. Kreia may be the best companion of all Bioware games, but rest of the cast of DA:O outshadows Kotor 2 i think.
Inquisition had good ones as well. Solas, Iron Bull, Cole and Dorian. Varic as well
kotor 2 is made by obsidian
What mods are you using??
I noticed something, what Wynne said that the Warden will be a good influence to Morrigan is really happening tho.
Voice acting was amazing 😂
The burns are so deep. Even I got the smell of that
Fun fact: if you keep Morrigan's ring all the way from Origins to Witch Hunt, Morrigan acknowledges it at the end of the latter.
"I stayed because I sensed your approach... You kept the ring...."
^ this small detail alone made it worth it playing through Awakening, GoA, and WH with that useless +2 willpower ring never leaving my inventory 😂 Morrigan is best girl.
1:56 i was just picturing the Hero of Ferelden staring at the wall in the background 😂
2:20 Man, Oghren was my favorite companion of all DA series.
I remember in Orzammar where Leilana and Morrigan had a small catfight over my Warden, on whoever got to him first in terms of spending time with either, though I treated Leilana as a friend since I picked Morrigan.
