Haha..well I'm also in the fishing content creation game....so I can't simply hand you the trophy (as much as I think you deserve it). You've hit the sweet spot in terms of simple production, great content and consistent timely turnover.
+Andy's Fishing Iv seen something similar in Yeppoon. Fishing in a pond, there was a huge school of baby prawns passing, then all these little red stripy bream 😜 came out from the snags and smashed the baby prawns haha. Was very surprised, as Iv only ever caught 2 jack. Good to see the systems healthy tho!
***** Central Texas. There are some clear rivers and streams, like the Frio river, but they are a good few hours away (in the more mountainous areas of Texas). So I'd need to make time, and money for that kind of trip. Also have to find a good access point, which either requires going to a public site, finding a land owner that will let you access the river from their land, or paying for one of the private camp and lodge sites. The rivers are all open, but you still can't trespass on land except as necessary to move a boat past obstacles. There are plenty of public access sites, but they will usually be very heavily fished. That's why I try to private ponds in my area. The public ponds and rivers are all hit really hard, and I don't have a boat to access the good spots. Lakes and reservoirs are still good places to fish, but you need a boat, really. That said, I am going to lake Whitney this weekend, hopefully. Going to target crappie and striped bass. Buddy has access to a lake house, and some small water craft (kayaks and canoes), so it should be productive!
***** I'd like to get one, but I have a small car (Hyundai Veloster, they only have three opening windows, so I can't properly secure anything to the top with straps), and live in an apartment. Unfortunately, I have no place for it. I thought about inflatables, to save space, but I just don't trust them as well. I also thought about belly boats, but I wouldn't want to use them when there could be gators around. Granted, there aren't many, but they do live in this area.
Andy I think you should do a video purely on all of your fishing tackle and rods and gear etc. I am sure a lot of people would like to see that. P.S this video is my favorite
Congrats Andy on a beautiful fishing trip. This is one of your best videos if you ask me. I just get so nervous when i see you getting in crocodile infested water or standing so close to the shore..
Looks like you're binge watching, maybe consider my $5.50 per month AD free videos, link in description of my new videos. All of my hidden videos are there too!
I imagine the golden barramundi take on that coloration due to the time spent in the creek, as opposed to time in open water?Seems pretty gutsy fishing in the croc's backyard, but I suppose it's like fishing Alaskan rivers alongside grizzly as I've done: one is just extra-careful.Love your videos and keep 'email coming!Paul in Washington State
Hey Paul, I've also fished in Alaska and Canada and found bear scat (steaming) and foot prints bigger than my #13 boot. I'd prefer the crocs any day. Usually creek fish will go more black or grey, not Gold, a special fish.
When retying the FG knot mate it becomes 100% easier to keep tension on the braid if you hold it in your teeth and have the rod tip pointing away from you. Good to see you're getting some rain mate, looks like quite a bit of rain fell while you were away.
+Andy's Fishing haha thats a good method. If you look up the slack line method it's pretty nifty its almost like building the knot in reverse kind of and then when pulled tight it fixes itself
Hey andy, I would really recommend fishing with frog lures in the weedy areas, I doing a lot of the same fishing as you in spots that are almost identical and using 2.5 inch Molix frogs really gets the job done along with shimano squidgy boof 👍🏽
Damn what an awesome trip!! Mate you have a brilliant why of presenting. I’m always eagerly waiting for your next vid! I thing it was your second Barra his eyes where brilliant red.!!! Thanks mate.
You have really great videos. I watch them daily. Have you ever thought about going to the NW of the US to get steelhead? You'll love the fight and the taste my friend.
It was a 5 piece Shakesphere. I don't use it anymore as they don't do parts for them. Look at my amazon shop, and try the Diana BBB spin or overhead, great rods.
Andy, do you know of any shops where I can get some non rusting pliers as the first pair I had have already rusted. Would really appreciate it. Great fish too!🎣

Hey guys/Andy I bought a bait caster and wanting to know if it would handle Barra or some jacks, it's a daiwaLaguna 100 reel and a daiwa Revros rod 5.6 and 6-12 kilos, thanks. Also Andy its an awesome video (as always) keep up the awesome work
I’m absolutely loving rewatching these old jungle videos! Thanks for all the content over the years Andy!
I must do this again. I appreciate that! New video out now.
You've made Australia my dream fishing trip. Especially these jungle type areas.
They are not easy to get to. Maybe see you here some time.
Another great vid Andy. Nothing beats committed topwater strikes...
+Peter Hansen
They are pretty cool. I hope to get more of this sort of action.
these camp out mini expedition videos are my favourite great video
+Adam Tonkin Tonkin
Cool.
Your beautiful gold Barra at 19:05 had an interesting hole in its top fin. Awesome looking fish hey.
+Matt Young
Yeah, I noticed that hole, but I'm, always more concerned about releasing the fish quickly.
Andy your vids are great. Possibly my favourite fishing content out there. Keep going, you're doing it right! Thanks

Only possibly... Hmmmm, ha ha ha

If only i could hit the 'make it profitable' sweet spot.
Fantastic little fishin spot Andy!! Looked like so much fun!! Pity the rain made it uncomfortable. Really liked the under water footage.
+TuBoy on UA-cam
It was ok, not really cold, just wet.
Another amazing Andy's fish video.
Some of my older ones are really good.
Good job andy...nice video and nice fish..it was awesome..wish I was there with you luring all day long...thanks andy
+Muhammad Farid
Maybe one day I can come to your country and fish with you.
+Andy's Fishing yeahh that's a good idea..I'll bring you to hunt the peacock bass and the giant snakeheads
Muhammad Farid
That sounds great, I'm in!
Wow!! That was the smallest tarpon I've seen! It's so cute 😝. And that bara was such a unique color, lucky catch Andy!
That Barra sure was special, out of all the Barra I've caught.
Great surface strikes! Looks like heaps of fun Andy!
+NjDoesMinecraft
Yep, sure was, great fishing that trip.
You take such good care of the fish i love it
Thanks. If you aren't going to kill them, best to stress them as little as possible and try not to rub their slime off.
Absolutely love these videos. Awesome scenery and great visual fishing.

I like to hear that

Loving the longer episodes Andy, bloody brilliant 👍

Seems my views are dropping, might be because the length of the videos, not sure...
Good underwater footage! Looks like you're integrating more of it into your vids. The split frame is nice too

Yes, I read that. Too many people use too small a boats in croc waters, it will happen more often, then the crocs will be culled...
+Andy's Fishing.... Andy's Croc Crew?.... Australia's answer to the "Gator Boys" or "Swamp People" of the US?
Making me want to go down to Australia just to fish. That looks like a ton of fun. Beautiful fish!

I do fish with surface lures quite a lot. I just seem to have a really bad hookup rate, and then they don't get into the videos.

How am i glad that we're back to barra fishing. No offences, i do enjoy your 2 weeks fishing trip's videos. But i still prefer barra & MJ fishing.

Andy in spots like that whats the likely hood of Salties being around?
Pretty high, they are sneaky and you will only ever see one when there are 10 around, and if there are only 1 or 2 you are lucky to see them at all!
andy are you have any fishing in Indonesia?
I would love to and hope to film there some time soon.
Andy 35:41 you can hear a baby croc close to ya?
Maybe
when you said go back to 35:10 i didnt hear anything the the reeds. What was it?
A Barra or Jack ate something just before I dragged the fish I had on the line through the reeds. You can even see the little splash.
oh now i hear it once you have told me what it is
Jae Morgan
Yes, it's not easy and you can see it, but you need to look in the right spot.
