This is without a doubt my favourite piece from Dead Rising, one of the greatest zombie-horror games ever for being surprisingly the most realistic and immersive about it, until Left 4 Dead that is.
The perfectionist photographer Kent Swanson, after his last mission to you decides to give you one hell of a fight, for behind this punkass dude's huge camera skills, he packs a psychotic mixture of pistol shots and insanely strong flying kicks, all while to the beat of the most psychotic original piece of the game emphasising absolutely insane energy. - Ігри

In all honesty, I think Kent is by far the best "Psychopath" in all of Dead Rising. Not only did he start out as a complete narcissist, but it was because of that narcissism that led to his slipping sanity, trying to beat Frank in taking the absolute most perfect camera shots, along with all of the horrors of Willamette. We also all got to witness his decline in full, so that was great, too.
Yeah, I wish they spent more time focusing on the realistic side of psychopaths and how certain personality types like the the narcissistic Kent are susceptible to becoming murders when faced with apocalyptic circumstance.
From self-centered sociopath to full-on psychopath, he was definitely something else

DR logic: a shotgun blast to the stomach will not do much damage. But hit them with a shelf and half of their health is gone.

Well, He looks dead to me, Would say that’s why it has the badass song.
The song was probably written to be edgy in order to make Kent Swanson look pretentious.
Similar to how, in 'Sonic Forces', Infinite's theme hypes him up as a hyper intelligent badass with a tragic backstory (which is implied, but never confirmed), when he's really a smug bully that entirely reliant on the Phantom Ruby in combat, and is quickly outmatched when its powers are weakened.

When the most replayed is the beginning you know you got a bomb track
You know, this guy has two different fights. One is you kill the parasite and he pissfully attacks. The other is that he killed the guy, got his shot, and he holds you at gunpoint and strips you of your clothes and weapons. In which he also has you bound to the vicinity of the water fountain, in which you use only what's there.
The second one being a lot more fun and difficult than the other fight, since the first is just kind of pathetic for a boss fight.
I think that's kinda the point to be honest, The second and more fun fight is appealing because it occurred like Kent was finally living his dream on doing so, while the 'pathetic' fight saving Tad was pretty nuanced that it just didn't seem much of a surprise because well simply Kent's falling apart already and it kinda fights in a little messy way instead of contained.
I kinda wish the harder fight was more likely to run into. The way this mission is timed around bomb collectors usually means youd be rushing to do this mission instead of somehow not getting to the paradise plaza until after 12:15

Such badass music for a boss that takes like two seconds to defeat. I guess it's supposed to be anti-climatic to show how incompetent he is compared to Frank.

Which version did you fight? The one where he takes you hostage is much harder
@@adammarch9604definitely funner too, usually when games take away your weapons, it's annoying, but with DR1's mechanics, it was very intense having to suddenly fight off a boss and a mini horde with garbage cans and benches, or hoping a can drops a pistol.
I wish the bosses were beefier in this game and balanced accordingly. Once you know the ins and outs of the game just about everything can be cheesed.
Two seconds? Must've been using the mini chainsaw. People often mistake the bosses difficulties when they use it. Without god weapons like the mini chainsaw and the HMG these assholes can be a nuisance. Regardless, Kent is still probably the easiest boss in this game and I still like your outlook.

Kent also kinda looks like Dex from Saint's Row, right? He's got the face at least. Just without the goatee and with more tanned skin.

Yeah capcom vancouver would of had to ask for the source code of the 1st game from capcom of japan, or rebuild the 1st game from the ground up in whatever crummy engine they used to make 2. (Everything in the 2nd game feels slightly worse imo)

Dead Rising really it's an awesome, badass and gore game.
Now I wish I didn't start the series on Dead Rising 2.... All the current games are still awesome, though.
Step 1: Find Kent on the first day.
Step 2: Find whatever weapon you can use in the mall (only a f**king idiot could mess this up).
Step 3: Beat the s**t out of Kent till that health meter is nonexistent.
CONGRATULATIONS, you just saved yourself so much time on completing the game.

something interesting i need help looking into: the "come on, yeah" can be heard in the game "true crime streets of new york" as a cutscene segway sound, and has very simmiliar record scratch sounds. does anyone know if the source of the music, record scratch, come on yeah, or anything else is from something else? was it sampled?

As someone who has an interest in photography, I REEAALLY hated killing Kent..... Felt like I was killing a "Brother in Snapshots," or something like that....😓😓😓
Zamire Wilson Think about it like this: either he killed a civilian and tried to kill you or he tried to kill you after you saved said civilian. He went insane, and you really had no other choice. Someone had to put him down before he killed even more people who were still sane.

I honestly kind of felt bad for carlito, yeah the dude was crazy but in the end he really just wanted prove a point about the government’s greed for harvesting for themselves. A very grim reality, but I can respect his views on that and just so happens we had to stop him. If he was a bit more levelheaded and less impulsive he probably could’ve made it out of Willamette
