Headcanon, I think kimi let him take his meds because he's kinda in the same situation with being sick and all and is an honorable warrior
To be perfectly fair, the only thing Gaara did to Lee other than some bruises was break his left arm and leg. Everything else Lee did to himself.
No, Kimimaro isn't "honorable", it's that Kimimaro of all people is probably the only one who MOST understands the importance of taking medicine on schedule and on time, which is why he let Rock Lee take his meds

11:31 it is possible actually maybe not to such an extent but what is happening with Lee is called muscle memory. It happens in a state where you are sub - conscious and mostly to those who do loads of combat training. eg Soldiers even when asleep do not let go of their guns, even we sometimes stop just when we are about to fall from the bed while asleep because our muscle have that memory

The only thing that bugs me about this fight is none of Lee's attacks have any weight to them. I feel like they skimped out on the animation on this fight. Its was one of my favorite fights from the Manga. As some one who watched Naruto back when it first came out, its so awesome watching you 2 react to this.
