When you realize that Rock Lee was trained by the one person that single handedly bodied Madara.
Not JUST Madara but Madara with 10 tailed bidju in him. I mean seriously Guy is OP as fuck
@@crazyplinto7895 but at the cost of his life or would have been if naruto didn't save him ❤❤
If madara was at base form, he would get killed by that kick
@@tommyottosen3951 Yeah but Gai is the probably most powerfull human beign in that universe without any external power or genetics. He is just a ordinary person with unlimited will.
He did not single handedly body madara
One of the Most Iconic moments in Anime when Rock Lee casually drop that foot weights...absolutely incredible 🔥
Reminds me when Piccolo removed his weighted cape
@@MrKylljoy goku super saiyan transformation in namek was lit too.
Truee🔥
Yeah. I bet you’d feel that way if you’ve only watched bad anime.
@@Krust23dont act like a kid
The first legendary fight IMO in the series, animation to this day is spectacular
Yeah I didn't remember the animation being this good, its actually amazing.
@@blakodesu3769 the Sasuke vs Orichimaru animation was pretty good.
The whole Zabuza arc had pretty good fights
Naruto had much better animation on average compared to Shippuden imo.
@@XLTBlarg It had it's highs and lows though. You can kinda tell how much went into the chunin exam preliminary rounds because the animation in the second round (Sasuke v. Gaara in particular) has some *rough* spots lmao
In a filler episode, after this fight, Gaara looked for a taijutsu expert in their village to teach him because he was impressed at Lee's level of skill
Which el
Ep*?
In shippudden
And Lee fight him also I think
He would have gotten bodied 😂
I remember watching this episode as a kid and being absolutely floored. This single fight turned Lee into my favorite character instantly.
Bro you are me.
the reason why this particular fight is so freaking good, is because this is when gaara was a murderer, and everyone feared for rock lees safety, because he doesn't know anything but taijutsu. little did any of us know, this man has been training for years with an extra ton (2100 lbs). and I believe he was the first to not only hit gaara, but broke through his seemingly impenetrable defense. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
To bad the sharingan can copy and paste everything even taijutsu speed
@@thomaswhite5122 the speed cannot be copied, that is what he trains with kakashi, what he did copy was lee's movements (this is the way lee kicks), although it is nonsense since sasuke was not there when lee fought...
@@endyourway8751 that's what I was thinking. I know they fought once but lee wasn't even using his full speed so how would Kakashi explain just how fast he was moving and train Sasuke to reach such a level? Unless the sharingan's hidden ability is data transfer...
@@dajuanwhitaker1785 easy. Genjutsu. Kakashi saw the fight and showed it to sasuke using genjutsu
@@endyourway8751 you so know that saskue copied Lee's movements when they met when they had to do the heaven and earth scrolls incident remember when they first met gaara and Lee and saskue fought Lee beat saskues ass that's when he copied his movements
The thing I love about Lee during this arc is his cockiness and his skills to back it up. It's like he knew he was miles ahead of everyone in terms of skill
He lost tho ?
@@scarfacemartinez against the kid who became kazekage at freaking 15? And almost won... If he was taking any other adversary there he would body them
@@scarfacemartinez only because he has to fight gaara if it were other people then Lee would without a doubt win with east, and he almost win against gaara too
@@scarfacemartinez only because gaara was a jinchuriki
Like lee said to Sasuke: people like Sasuke are born with everything in their hand, while people like lee have to work hard and get their skills by working
The fact they had us believe Neji was stronger than Rock Lee during this arc is straight up crazy!
Neji was stronger. Even with the weights off Rock Lee couldn't touch Neji.
@@CosmicGoku529 you think so? With the 8 gates?
@@kimosabehmar1671 During this arc yes even with the gates he had unlocked I think Neji was still the stronger of the 2.
@@CosmicGoku529 No at this time neji's can't match with the speed of gates and have get hits byakugan can see chakra points but if you don't have the speed to hit...
If Lee is in range of Neji's 8 Trigrams it's over.
THE Dopest fight in Og Naruto hands down along With Naruto x Sasuke in the final vslley But i prefer rock lee x Gaara two Monsters earlier on
Yeah i agree
Lee x Gaara was Dope as hell in the Best arc of Naruto The chunin exam
@@johnwarren8804 Especially since people, like myself, didn't expect Lee to be this awesome. Lee is a class apart...like Guy.
Just hope one day update one episode nice bro
Lee vs Gaara, Lee vs Kimimijih (forgot the name)
Both executed perfectly with the ideal ost to back it up
@@anthropos366 Kimimaro
When i first saw the announcement of lee vs gaara while watching naruto
I was like...damnn
Thats unfair match...Gaara will kill him
Little did i know i was gonna watch history in the making
This fight made Naruto the most popular Anime IMO.
This fight is what ultimately got a lot of people into Naruto, and introduced an antagonist who would make a major change to the plot. This is the first time they encountered someone their age, other than Haku, being very dangerous and believably unbeatable.
This fight is when things, arguably, started getting serious.
One of the best fights in anime. It was so unexpected, that this fight was going to be so good. It went to epic levels. Lee wasn't really taken seriously up to this point, and we didn't really know much about him, but boy did he surprise us all!
This single handedly not only makes me want to rewatch Naruto, but makes me wanna get the latest fighting game, provided its got everything from beginning to end of Naruto.
rn on playstation the free game is a naruto one iirc
Ultimate ninja storm 4 has literally every (non filler) character and if you get the dlcs ya get some sick looking team jutsus
The animation in this was amazing for a 2002 anime.
2002 Naruto
2007 Naruto Shippuden
Yeah, I didn't remember it being this good when I first watched it.
2000s anime already had a decent amount of sakuga animators actually. But they were there, albeit rare, even in the 90s. The legendary Yutaka Nakamura first got the spotlight in the late 90s. But ultimately, I don't think being a 2000s anime means it doesn't have great animation. Just that there's a significant abundance of great animators nowadays, likely inspired by the OGs.
Exactly. For a non-digital animation, it's really impressive.
They did a pretty good job at portraying how fast Lee is. I fell in love with the animation
Back when there was no youtube or normal working websites where I could watch anime. My friend hyped up this show called Naruto and gave me a CD which he put some random Naruto episode on it. My brother helped me with the video player and we watched the show together. It was the episode with Rock Lee vs Gaara. And holy crap, what an episode to start the show.
*This fight made Naruto the most popular Anime.*
You share it with someone and they immediately go to the beginning and tolerate all the filler till the end.
its not like all of it was bad
The Wave arc was amazing
after that it got too toned down before Gaara
It’s one of the most well known fights and it was when people realized how serious the show was gonna go.
For me this is the most iconic moment in Naruto. Not only because of the reveal and the fight, but the animation was dialed to 10!
When they fight using strategies not only cool named moves
I remember watching this around 15 years ago, I was blown away by this scene, to me it’s hands down the best fight in the first series
The moment when Lee took of his weight he could beat half of his generation, without even use gates
Not counting the Jinchuurikis, Lee was unbeatable
@@vsilewar58 the sasuke who learned chidori was able to beat lee
@@maurice-ednt1215 I disagree. Sasuke with 2 points in his sharing an couldn't even see Naruto with a little Kyuubi Chakra, he wouldn't at all see Lee at his max speed+gates.
@@maurice-ednt1215 Even if you give Sasuke a prep time, internet and a fckng gun, he will not beat Lee at this stage of the anime.
@@maurice-ednt1215 Rock Lee still wiped the floor with sasuke so hard that he copied Rock Lee's moves.
Thanks for uploading this! I'd say that this is one of my top 5 favorite fights in the original Naruto series!
Can't wait for what you post next!
This fight changed me as a little kid.
Thanks, can't wait for part2!
I love that neji wasn’t shook at all after the weight loss. He was still confident in beating lee
He should be. He'd still whoop Lee's ass.
It never gets old watching people react to the weight drop by Lee.
Tears roll down my face every time I witness this legendary masterpiece…
So much nostalgia. Unforgettable✨
Still wish he played a bigger part in the sequel series
100% idk why they wasted him. He got almost as little screen time as tenten
its because lee and tenten is so fast animayors cant even capture them on a scene
Yea boruto is trash
@@BleezyMonkey lol
Kishimoto mostly focused on Sasuke and Naruto unfortunately
Guy: *Youth is an explosion*
Deidara: *And I took that personally*
As soon as Rock Lee dropped those weights, which were wrapped around his ankles, IT WAS DEFINITELY ON!!!!😤
I hope these reactions are genuine because it brings me so much joy to see that first time experience again after all these long years
8:10 cleanest anime kick forever more
All these years later and I still find myself watching this scene at least once a month
This fight is part of what got me hooked on Naruto. Such a classic. Love the girl on the right's reactions btw 😅
the whole time everybodys all impressed
Neji is Still keeping up with Rock Lee's every move
7:53
Honestly Genjutsu if used correctly can be so OP. Imagine putting people in Inception to train every jutsu in existance.
Hands down my favorite anime fight of all time. It‘s just so hype.
"He wont lose to anyone" Proceeds to lose Every.Single.Fight. that isnt filler or against nameless mooks
Oh Lee? Well to be fair he did try to fight when he was still healing from the damage caused by Gaara. Other times he didn’t really intend to win fights, mostly he just wanted to buy some time.
Lee prefers fighting with others beside him, because he knows his own strengths and weaknesses. He can’t take on many people by himself unless he constantly uses the Gates or Lotus, which as we see in this fight is exhausting.
THIS fight was so Sick yo rock lee and Guy are my favorite characters in Naruto.
One of the Best ones If Not The Best One
This is the fight that hooked me. I love the flames in the eyes.
I love how universal the reaction is when Lee finally injures Gaara! It's been built up so much about this invulnerable dude and Lee just double ax-kick's him in the noggin - its so satisfying in such an aesthetically pleasing way, too
Why doesn't anyone ever talk about how cool that at this point Gaara's face looks "crazy" and the sand armor is a mask that makes his face look "normal"
Also nobody points out when both Kankuro and Temari mention his “inner demon” being awakened. Which was supposed to be a hint that Gaara was a Jinchuuriki like Naruto.
This is the fight that got me hooked on this show
I remember I missed it when it first aired on toonami back then but my mom came in clutch and recorded the episode for me
When you realize Lee could win against anyone in that exam. Gaara's defense was just 2nd to none.
Ion think we ever got to see Lee go all out except in this fight
The whole chunin exam arc was probably the best arc I have ever seen in any shonen.
Man ,i will never get over this fight.
One of the best fights in anime history, and somehow it's better with the English dub.
This single fight video made everyone want to watch the series again.😎
Lee's most iconic moment...from here on he...does absolutely nothing of note until the very final arc and even then pretty much nothing still.
part 2 plz and nice mashup
Rock Lee dropping those weights is one of the most hype moments in all of anime.
This dudes determination got me through boot camp years back 😂
After seeing RobertJ's video, I now can not unsee the verbal exposition dumps so common in anime x[
8:18 thats one of the sickest kicks I've ever seen
That episode is one of the iconic in the naruto series. Even I made ppl love animes bc this episode, 😂❤️❤️
世界共通でガイ先生の暑苦しさが伝わっててすごく嬉しい✨😂
another banger mash up
considering how this fight went, I believe they robbed Rock Lee of quite a few well deserved wins. He should have definitely won some of these fights.
This is the scene that got me hooked on anime lol, specifically an AMV with the mortal kombat song
Top Best fights in Naruto
Rock lee x Gaara
Sasuke x Naruto The one in the final valley
Rock Lee and Gaara x Kimimaro
Orochimaru x hiruzen.
Showing How rock Lee was lit in Og, in Shippuden kishimoto forgot him but at least he's One of Best characters in Naruto If Not The Best characters imo he's The Best because He's in the Dopest fights
You can include Chiyo and Sakura vs Sasori in this list

Watching this made me happy
Literally goosebumps when the weights fall
What a shame, they never saw Naruro before??
*you earned a sub my g*
Love the reference to OG Dragon Ball 💯
Yeah thnx am gonna go watch full fight now
I remember being a kid, maybe in like 4th grade and going to Albertsons grocery store with my mom and I was in the book section. Saw some drawings on a magazine called shounen jump. Had shaman king, hunter x hunter, and all kinds of shit. A few years pass and I kept walking to that Albertsons to buy them every month. Eventually Naruto started getting printed on their. Quickly became an interest, and then several years pass by. AND fucking boom, Naruto had a cartoon on toonami. Didn’t know that they were called anime but was so invested in the show and then the Rock Lee vs Garaa fight happened and in middle school I wouldn’t shut up about how cool it was. So many other kids were like TOU WATCH NARUTO?! Hahaha and we started playing some ninja mimic game because of it. Ahhhh fun times.
The moment he said no one has able to break Gaara defence I knew Rock Lee will sure do it.❤
This is probably the best fight in the series all things considered. Definitely top 3.
Bruh the first one at the top left side corner the guy wearing the naruto head band is just so funny it looks like a vr headset lol I am laughing so hard
Every time I see this fight "Hell Song" plays in my head
Ahhh yes. The "If at first you don't succeed, try punching faster and punching harder" fight.
30 yr olds watching Naruto to get views, has to be the worst genjutsu ever, because everyone can see through it 🤧
He could’ve ended the match after that Lotus but didn’t, the Ref knew Gaara was not done.
Gaara would be awesome to have at the beach. You'd never have to eat a sandy sandwich ever again.
The show is called Naruto..but this moment got me hooked to this anime!!
Man that always makes me lmao. 1:00 If everyone in the world was only that enthusiastic.
Haha everyones faces when he dropped the weights 🤣
The weight drop is so iconic
Home girl in the middle-right frame...
Yeah.
That was my EXACT reaction to when he removed the weights.
I wonder if they realize that the sand encasement is literally hiding Gaara's murderous expression by being shaped to give him a stoic one.
Haven't seen many people pick up on that.
The fight that gets peeps into Naruto! THE fight! Period.
Lee is based in Jackie Chan, Kishimoto said
These ppl have a whole leaf village mic and headbands acting like they’ve never seen this before 😂
One of the best fights in anime history
Epic fight 😍
nah bro i was GASSED! after lee giving sausage some hands i was excited to see lee vs garra
Who is the girl in the black chair she's so animated and weird....... I love it
Animation of Naruto is a GOD TIER, i like the slow-mo scene on naruto
I remember the first time I saw this fight, I started to cosplay as rock lee for years after this.
戦闘描写が細かくて人間らしい動きが多いから躍動感とリアルさがあるよな
The specialist of throwing hands fr
A legendary fight indeed but gaara was absolutely beast at Og Naruto and rock Lee was a hard-working genius but I personally like gaara more than Lee.
Now is a good moment to wacth the God vs the strongest man in Taijutsu
The legendary weight drop moment
wanna see their reaction when they find out Gaara is a Jinchuriki
This is the fight that made me gain insane interest to continue watching naruto. I wish rock lee had more screen time
The guy on bitten left is me when the weights dropped
