Man, every instructional I watch from you guy's gives at least one explanation of a detail that I really understand deeper. So useful for teaching kids. Teaching what to do is useful, but understanding why, and the why not, through experience is the fast track. I guess everyone is trying to do this with varying degrees of success. You guy's often nail it. Such useful content. One day I'll make the journey from NZ, Spatch's motherland, and come roll. Thanks
crazy! i hit the one at 5:07 this morning. I like it because it's very similar if not the same sweep from half guard. Thanks for the details! this is stuff I need to remember to do.
Im a white belt at 180lbs and my training partners are 25-75lbs heavier than me and I'm always getting crushed. I'm getting better at escapes but when I get crushed, boy, all the shrimping won't work. I've been looking for a video exactly like this. With some practice I'm sure ill be able to pull off my escapes. Cheers
Bro I can believe in my 5+ years I never thought or seen anyone use that grip (belt or lapel) with the elbow on the knee and use that to create a prying motion that will move that knee and off balance opp 💰💰💰
In a no-gi application, would you roll the neck hand towards the rear of the neck? Like cupping the neck with your palm in order to strengthen that frame? Just curious if you can address this escape in a no-gi position. Great stuff!!
Great, great stuff. Two questions: 1. What do you do if they block your hip with their far-side elbow? 2. What do you do if they pop their hips up and do that annoying shit where they run around you like the hand of a clock? Truly, fantastic stuff. Thanks so much for putting this together :)
You need to think when you lock the hip with your frame… that your hip pushes into there elbow blocking your hip to open there elbow and make space, now if they circle your head, you need to be read for the transfer of pressure to open, biggest thing to help is far leg from from your opponent should always try to get onto your opponent and then stay on them so they do the work to move you and with that, you reguard.
I watched this video just for fun before going to the open mat today , accidentally my side was taken by my opponent then I was like watching the video in that position I put my wrist on his neck then I took space with my both legs and came back to the close guard the funny thing the position became to me and I took the mount and ended up by ezekiel choke : D
Only issue I have is when I go underhook, they can swim their arm round and block my hips I am guessing I need to just br faster in that case or cause a scramble?
You need to not be complacent in your spot, bumping hips small back and forth so your opponent can’t settle there weight or predict when you’ll escape etc.
@@EpLegendsNetwork Ahhh okay I got it, I suppose once the arm is under its time to move but leading up to that is to unsettle the person on top another thing I have been doing is grabbing the head straight away like you did! Its getting there definitely 💪🏾
The frame is importent, your hip frame was a little bit loose imop. Danahar shows knee to elbow connection, and Jon Thomas bjj are framing both hips with his elbow and hand.
Possibly the best side control escape series I've seen. Love these applicable, concise videos. Helped this white belt a ton!
This is incredibly good stuff combining the escapes and counters. Best I've seen. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the support Josh! You're the man.
Great details. Thanks for sharing. So crazy your channel doesn’t have more followers, I’ve saved so many of your videos, they’re gold.
Watching on repeat for framing details. That armbar was sick as well.
Thanks, Chad!
Ive literally been sitting here for an hour rewatching over and over, its a good series that arm controlling the neck is brilliant
Love this !!!! Thank you … I’m so white belt !!! 😂😂😂😂
“Stop being a bitch and train harder” has literally become my mantra. I use these frames every time my guard gets passed. Thank you 🙏
Old school technique performed beautifully. I love watching Jiu Jitsu family PSF grow and killing it.
Great details. Thanks.
Thank you.
Thank you, Professor!
Jorge's "not bad face" is priceless right after 5:48 xD
Thank you! I had never seen the detail about framing inside their knee with your elbow. It looks like it makes such a big difference.
Very helpful technique. Thanks for sharing.
This is a lot of fun to see. I've been drilling these all week with my school! Good job PSF. These work great.
That detail on the sweet spot for the framing arm is huge. Taking this straight to our kids class.

Thanks for watching!

Also, pretty sure Jorge's neck is strong enough to break at least a few guys forearms.
We should start with baseball bats
Excellent breakdown! Thank you
If you have knee issues this side control/half guard positions are the very best, great content!
fantastic work gentlemen, thank you for this incredible content!!!
very good details, cant wait to try it tomorrow!
Great detail instructions can’t wait to try it.

Awesome detail with framing the knee open using the Gi
Anyone else hear the low battery fire alarm beeps? My dog did. He's now in the closet hiding.
Awesome, thanks.

Great video !!!
Beautiful
my god. you saved my life.
This was helpful. I hope no one at my school sees it.
He said and I start to work my chokes from here
George's neck: "nah"
PSF always inspiring me to be better at BJJ ❤🔥

"Levers"
Try it on Roger Gracie and if it works then contact Bernardo and do a complete instructional :)
It will 100 percent work on Roger, after that I’ll catch him in a loop choke… 😳
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fuckin gold 🏅
"That's fucked up shit"
ironic 3 strip white belt here!! and getting stuck in side control daily...
I always stick jorge in side control bro. Don't sweat it
Chad!!

The only reason you have such good escapes is cause of that fucking gi
Sounds like next episode he can show us the no gi side control escapes vs Spatch. Sounds like a win/win. Plus you get to show off that sweet mullet.
Truth. My first question was this is great for GI, what do you do for no GI?
@@matthewcrawford4216 NoGi is much easier.
@@EpLegendsNetwork well I’ll be trying this next time I’m on the mat GI or no GI! Thanks.
Check UA-cam for Teach Me Grappling 'The Phantom' escape (For Nogi) hopefully this helps! Osss
Where’s the lambo at chad
Once I steal the Lamborghini, I’ll swing by and pick you up.

Have you changed the battery in your smoke alarm yet?
We'll have to check in with him and see lol.
