I just noticed that there are thumbs down for this video. Whaat??? Why??? Your tassels are beautiful!! They are so much nicer than other tassel videos/tassels on other channels. I can't see any reason in the world for an unhappy response to what you have done. I am a new subscriber to your channel after seeing your tassels. (I love that you speak so clearly and are so easy to follow (and you have beautiful hands!)) So there! :0)
p welch thank you so much. Yes, on all craft videos, we get thumbs down. It's hard to evaluate all the reasons, but we UA-camrs also get haters. I have two haters, one of which is particularly aggressive. A hater pulls up 6-20 of your videos in one sitting, thumbs down without even watching, and moves to the next. What an unhappy existence that must be. It doesn't bother me. I'm a joyous person :)

I know...right?? I LOVE THIS WOMAN!! She explains things very well and gives the ramifications of why or why NOT to do something that will possibly ruin the project for newbies. This is the first time I've seen her vids and I can also tell she takes pride in her work...and I would venture to say she's (like me ;) ) a bit of a perfectionist. AND I LIKE THAT!!! It drives me absolutely CraZy to hear so many crafter's say in their tuts " It doesn't have to be perfect." ARRRRGGGG To a perfectionist YES.. IT DOES! lol But this lady does very nice work AND pays attention to those that are learning and need to know and understand the inside secrets the pros have already encountered on their journey to making such lovely things. Cuz I want mine to last!!
Sad to see that there ARE that many thumbs down, cuz this woman is one of my new favs to watch, and learn from. I hope you also read this, Lolly Palooza, thank you so much!!! ♥♥ You have a very happy and grateful new subbie!! Your tassels are just adorable!!

Ohhhh maaa'word!!! How have I never seen this before. I've been wondering how to make tassels, but I was thinking using yarn, embroidery thread, floss, etc. This is so amazing!!! Thank you for your videos. I always learn something and feel inspired to try something new.
thank you so much! Yes, when I made this, paper tassels were a popular craft. I am thinking now if I did it again, I'd coat the paper with Mod Podge first before cutting, to give it some strength.

I am quite horrified too that there are any thumbs down... I love your tutorial...and although I did do a beading course many years ago... I prefer the way you create the loop. It is far simpler...than the strange wrist movement I was taught to use!!!!

Yes, thumbs down are common on crafting videos, and most of us have "trolls" -- people who only open our videos to give thumbs down (without watching) then move onto the next one to give thumbs down, doing 5-10 videos in one sitting without watching any of them. I tend to forget that it's happening, because it doesn't bother me. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! :)

You inspired me to try the tassels I have been wanting to try. I can't cut a straight line so I scored up to the 1/2 inch line..but all the way to the top on the cut out part Helped me glue and get the first few turns done.
