Kingdom of the Sun: Storyboard Voiceover Scene

- I do not own any of this. Here we have some storyboards to Kingdom that was posted online by Antonio Navarro, with voices dubbed by me. Sorry if the voices do not sound very good, I'm not a professional voice actor. The music score used in the video is from DreamWorks' The Road to El Dorado and is composed by Hans Zimmer and John Powell, I chose this music cause I felt it fit the mood of the scene pretty well. Here's the source of these storyboards btw: antonionavarroportfolio.blogsp...

Hello Guys, I'm the person who did those drawings. First of all, thank you, GreatBeast455, for your "work of love". This material isn't formerly a Story Board. At Disney we called it Workbooks... but, yeah, it's kind of a Story Board we did after a first Story board was done. Secondly, Kingdom of the sun had a completely different plot from Emperor's new groove, so don't bother trying to fit characters and story lines... It was all different. Thanks again for this nice "fan art".
What did a workbook mainly consist of besides storyboard-like drawings? Did they act like an animator's bible so to speak during the process? Absolutely love the epic sense of lighting in these drawings btw!
I'm so sorry. I can only empathize with the hurt in your heart by the representation I missed out on as a full blooded Peruvian and 1st generation American. I would have been the happiest kid in the world to know my culture got represented in such a big way, a beautiful story with the representation we've never gotten from a big company. Even today people always ask me whether Kuzco was Aztec or Mayan because the corp suits at disney didnt care for representation whatsoever. if only they knew the impact it would leave for those finding out what could have been, or even cared for your guys' true desire and formation of your art, your creation. I'm sorry.
@@andrealiee Move back to Peru if you love your culture so much.
I just finished watching "The Sweatbox" and I just wish we could have more to see about the kingdom of the sun. Makes me so sad that they cut BOTH of Yzma's songs, even in the Emperor's new groove
are there any songs of this hidden at a deep chamber in a disneyland or something?cuz this instrumental song was awesome
I had no idea there were lost Kingdom of the sun storyboards out there also the "The Road to El Dorado" soundtrack fits great in this excellent choice and great job dubbing this as well!
yeah even the the art style of kingdom of the sun looks alot like a 2D animated dreamworks movie
May you please share us the song's name?
Yeah, it almost works better here than it does in the scene where Miguel and Julio discover the lost city.
@@cartooncottage2024 ironically the film was supposed to be released on the same season as EL DORADO
It fits the situation at hand very well.
The final product of this scene would have looked so grand.
Yup. Most likely. They ruined our chances of seeing this grand scene in full color.
I do feel that Kingdom Of The Sun could’ve been a smash hit at the box office. Sadly from watching that lost scene we’ll never will unless the Disney Company could make it again. It’s 2020 and yet I’m still weaping over this unreleased animated film. 💔💔
Just think of all the success it would’ve been.
Disney had their reasons to take away this movie from us. They put their foot down (collectively).
Man, this makes me just a sad as the Treasure Planet 2 they were going to make.... You know how many people would kill to see Disney make 2d movies again?
You're right. Bring back 2d animation!
I think kingdom of the Sun would’ve been a fantastic movie.
Real ones can identify road to el Dorado music anywhere
Wait, but that was Dreamworks, so how,
Ok
Do you have the link to the song you're talking about, would you please share it to us? By the way, I've a very strong feeling, by your name, that you can speak spanish, so I'll translate my petition due to I hate speaking english with another spanish native speaker.
@@deweima1936 It should show up if you search "El Dorado music playlist", -Taco boy- SIR
Jk, hope she gets back to u
So true
Lol right 😂 I thought my ears were playing trick with me
Maybe they will make a live action adaption, so kingdom of the sun might have second chance.
Sorry dude no kingdom of the sun Disney s to busy making a live action lion King..........
Nikola Sokač And they started writing the Kingdom the sun shortly after the lion King was made. True, Disney is busy making money with nostalgic feelings, but who wouldn’t want to see this film? I knew that some good would come from Disney doing a live action adaptations of cartoons.
Emperor's New Groove would be a lousy live action remake so this is a great opportunity.
You can count on it
@@Trazynn exactly!!! and it would be something that'd be appreciated as someone who's culture is NEVER. N E V E R. represented in media!! ESPECIALLy disney.
The road to El Dorado is the only movie with more similarity than KOTS would have been .. if you haven't seen it yet and you like the idea of KOTS watch the El Dorado movie 💛
I'll take your recomendation, I hope what I like it T_T
TRtED is one of my favorite childhood movies, along with TENG 🥺💕
It's getting hard to not hope that this concept will come back in some form.
Before Yzma's Death...
She didn't die, tho. She just got turned into a cat.
Brett Forsyth She would have died in this version
EDIT: In the version of the script provided by animator Nik Ranieri, Yzma is briefly restored to her younger form by the demon Supai and then reduced to dust the moment the sun returns.
@@CalicoJackal Pretty similar to how Mother Gothel died in "Tangled," neh? ♻️
This was from Roger Allers original vision of The Emperors New Groove long before Mark Dindal’s rewrite.
#releasetheallerscut
Just on Disney + that's all.
Have you sent an email to Disney about releasing and finishing the Roger Allers cut of The Emperor's New Groove (Kingdom of the Sun)?
@@Daniel-bl7hu Why would you want them to finish it? I want to see the workprint that was shown to executives on the day they decided the movie would be scrapped. Then I could understand more about why. Was it really just corporate greed trying to meet deadlines and cut costs or did the story just not flow when it was all put together from two directors?
We won't know until we see that workprint.
Sinister Sweet You are missing the point. It WILL be the Zack Snyder's Justice League out of all Disney Animated Films. Don't you get it?
#ReleaseTheAllersCut
I would see the Allers Cut at Harkins Camelview 14 at Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.
Excellent music choice.
Do you know the song's name?
@@deweima1936 I don’t know the name but it’s from the Road to El Dorado.
I want kingdom of the sun so fucking bad :( breaks my heart that we didn't get it
Yeah, me too.
Godammnit Disney MAKE THIS MOVIE A REALITY!
Lol is thats “Road to Eldorado” music I hear ... LMAOOOO
It took me forever to realize that this is a cross between Prince and the pauper along with a very soft core elder scrolls oblivion; killing the ruler chosen by the gods to cut the world off from the heavens
I just subbed to you, my friend!
Good storyboard dude
Emperors new Groove steals the road to el dorado music
This was supposed to be The Emperor's New Groove the reason they changed it to that is because they wanted to be more kid friendly
It was due to story problems
@@metepec20092012 And also because it was a musical
@@metepec20092012 no, it was because the executives at the time didnt think that musicals would make money anymore.
which El Dorado music is this specificly? The two men just had lots of brilliant musical.
Edit: nevermind. I found it.
Here: m.ua-cam.com/video/nWEBdNYPRTA/v-deo.html
Thank you!
And if Disney makes a sequel to . The new rhythm of the emperor and in that they use the plot of the kingdom of the sun
I think the song is from el camino al dorado
My theory is that Paco is the true emperor of the sun because he and manco have been switched at birth for some reason. In short, while manco was cruel, bratty and spoiled, Paco is the chosen one for being brave, truthful and unselfish.
Skimmed the wiki and apparently there’s a sun shaped birthmark you can only get by being of royal descent (which Paco doesn’t have)
I know that. I'm just not sure if manco is fit enough to be an emperor. Like manco and Paco explained, the emperor looks like a commoner and the Llama herder looks like a prince.
@@movieman4710how would you like it if you were born into royally decent but look like a commoner?😤
The great sun instead opted to leave them in peace
.....is that the el Dorado theme?
Yes.
Yes
@@GreatBeast455 bet a deleted scene from Brother Bear would use music from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.
What’s the name of this music please
0:21 the same song of the road to the dorado
It IS The Road to El Dorado, they just put it as a stand-in soundtrack
Disney canceled a great project 😭
If Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment released Kingdom Of The Sun ?
Hey, does anyone know a site where I can found this kind of stuff except the dark web?
He's linked the source to where he found these storyboards in the description.
What's name song? I have no idea this that song.
It's from Road to El Dorado
@@cannonfodder4000 Do you have the name, and may you please share it with us, please?
@@deweima1936 Sorry man I don't, but the other comments in this video identified it from Road ot El Dorado
I found a very similar one, but it's not exactly like in the excerpt, which is very sad. if you still need a soundtrack - called wonder of the new world road.
That cephalothorax sounds like Yao.
What ethnicity is Kuzco.
Incan
@@hithere5039 thank you
Isnt that the El Dorado theme?
Yes.
@@GreatBeast455fitting!
@@matthewwatkins4938 Thanks, I was originally gonna use music from Pocahontas, but I couldn't find anything that fit.
Funny...
At first, I've thought an animal or human sacrifice would be able to fix everything.
Turns out, all you needed was a bit of some "self-sacrifice".
Who knew?
