I've been using AS since day one (oh the joy of leaving Eclipse behind) and I can honestly say that in the last 2 years things have just been getting better and better with every release. Keep up the excellent work!
I am really excited about all this new features and support. It will make our life easier. My main concern is that with all that background check in real time, will significantly impact the performance of Android Studio, especially on slower machines. Anyway, so happy and thankful for all Android Studio improvements.Its getting better and better with every new release.
@@llothar68 yap that will be the case for sure as it was in the last couple of years 😁 I was just thinking for a new devs getting into the field, usually post graduates, who usually dont get that kind of machines, so might have not soo good experience.
Light mode actually seems like a step in the right direction. I feel like there are so many features added to help speed development up but they actually slow it down.
I'm totally in for light mode. I'm having hard time with my 2018 Intel chip on mac. AS consumes lot of resources with new features which is great if you have latest macbook
Arctic Fox has been nothing but unstable for me on Windows. Currently I'm having to invalidate & restart the IDE at least twice each day. AS lags a long way behind IntelliJ, Visual Studio & even (shudders) Xcode. In my experience the errors and warnings surfaced by the design surface are almost always wrong so I'm not particularly optimistic about "Visual Linting".
Glad to see these features on the new version. But plugins are just too much which affect performance a lot. Hope we can disable some features manually like APP INSPECT. Its also good for low-price PC.

With the new update, the emulator has become very slow. Do you have any solution suggestions?
