  • Let's explore the new 1st Class Public Spaces onboard the luxury ocean liner Titanic!
Since there are only a few facilities to look at on Boat Deck, we'll be looking at both Boat Deck and A Deck today. Starting off we'll have a lovely stroll around the top of the Grand Staircase before we head into the Gymnasium to look at the equipment. Then, down the stairs to A Deck we'll head forward and take a look at a few 1st Class Cabins, with a peek into a bathroom along the way. Next, we finally make our way to the show stopper rooms such as the Reading & Writing Room, 1st Class Lounge, and 1st Class Smoking Room. Finally, we'll head aft and take a look at the Verandah Cafe and Palm Court.
Since Demo 401 is so quiet, I've decided to add the Titanic: Honor & Glory soundtrack, as well as some sound effects. Credits can be found below.

I wish they could build a restaurant/hotel ship exactly as the Titanic was. Just have it in dock like the Queen Mary is in Long Beach, California.

The "miracle" that is technology today, is the ability (with off the charts determination and skill) to bring back a sunken treasure like Titanic from the dead and give people 100 plus years later a maiden voyage without a tragedy..as close to time travel as we can get..STANDING "O"

@scomo2130 huh? This project they created in lifelike definition, researched every nook and crannie of the ship and made a virtual replica..when available in VR it'll be as close to being on the ship as we could ever get and that is a miracle to me because when I was a kid all the things that the youngsters take for granted was from science fiction or another galaxy..

White Star seem to have learned from the Lusitania about maximising a sense of space. The ships of that era could feel very claustrophobic, with low ceilings and narrow corridors. Lusitania got round that by using several skylights to increase the feeling of space, and used lighter decor to make the ship feel lighter and airier. Her sister, Mauretania, used darker wood decor and was slightly less popular as a result.

Back then a gym was more of a curiosity for most folks rather than a place to workout like today (although today a gym seems to be a selfie studio for some people...)
The various mechanical contraptions to ride were were meant to entice people who wouldn't dream of lifting a weight in their lives.

A sort of murder mystery game where you can influence who survives. Maybe you play a detective aboard (think Poirot) who is after a thief and/or murderer who is known to be aboard and escaping to the Americas.
You could have different endings depending on if you make it off the ship or die in the sinking.

This was 110 years ago and they could build such a huge vessel that still matches the average size of modern cruise ships, with gyms, domed halls, and turkish baths. Back then they probably thought we would travel on Titanic sized spaceships by 2023.

What a beautiful ship. The first class areas were better then first class on other ships the second class was equivalent to first class on other ships, and third class was equivalent to second class on other ships. Even the crew accommodations were better then they were on other ships. Surprisingly for the maiden voyage of the titanic the largest and most luxurious ship at it's time it was not filled to capacity. As an example, first class cabin A3 was unoccupied for the ship's maiden voyage.

The panel in the movie would've actually come from the other doorway to the lounge, as it was larger.
