@Jamie c 3 km's wouldn't allow for speedo error. But yes, speed limits are over enforced while everything else is virtually ignored. Do what you want on Adelaide roads but don't speed or drink drive. I think enforcement is based upon public liability with speeding and drink driving at the top of the list.......which is fair enough!
God, I was fucking told why they're there, there is a reason. But I can't bloody remember. Totally clickbait by the way. Can't believe that gaint squid is real. Scary stuff.
I visited my grandparents in Sydney and after coping with that BS I apologized to the city I live in. It was also hot and I could wear my jacket on the lift home from the airport. Have you experienced the shitshow that is Sydney's stores and transport(not to blame the employees or employers of those stores)? I mean I know we're not 24'7 but at least it doesn't cost $20 a day to use public transport and the other direction is the other side of the road. Oh and Bondi Beach. When I visited I laughed because the closed in crappy beach people only go to because its in Sydney (and I'll admit there was a lot of attractive beachgoers) it was small, meh and closed in which caused a sandstorm over Masterchef. Oh people also understand that a backyard isn't an ultra luxury. We keep our Zoo animals in way better conditions. We're cheaper and because of that we have genuine variation in restaurants where it would be too expensive to do in the more expensive cities like Sydney and Melbourne. We also have the central markets and other markets further out if you want. I think Adelaide is awesome. You start to run outside the city and you hit vineyard. It's just good.
My spouse is down there helping out with the bush fires. Staying in Adelaide and thinks your city and state is amazing. He's so impressed. Jealous I'm not there with him.
Coopers beer is nastier than the piss that builds up in and around a line of porta-potties at music festival where they only serve asparagus and fish, and Pale Ale is the **WORST** of them. Pale Ale, West End Draught and urine from a diseased elderly horse are basically the same thing.
Only thing I hate about Adelaide is that no ones knows what a ‘poppa’, ‘bubble’, ‘scallop’, or a ‘kebab’ is. I swear the Germans must have changed the Aussie language or something down here. This is coming from a person who grew up in NSW, and moved here last year.
Kebabs are meat on a stick in Adelaide as only leva use Kebab for the meat in a wrap - Adelaide has a marginal Arab population and a sizeable Greek population so the Greek name for meat in a wrap is commonly used - Yiros.

@@mindfulminime7082 Will respectfully disagree, I know and surround myself with PLENTY of driven people every single day and I think you'll find duds in the dating game everywhere you go. You need to be looking in the right place. I've said many times on this channel that boredom stems from yourself. There's ALWAYS something to do if you go looking. Our beaches are some of the nicest in Australia, our night life is way easier to navigate and there's communities in almost every niche I've ever wanted to get into. Sure, jobs can be difficult to source and get into but that's largely industry based - in the creative, I've never found an issue finding work. No skills? you can always build your knowledge on the internet and hustle your ass off.
This is why I like Adelaide, people know it’s a city but no one gives a fuck. They just kinda shuffle along and move to the next city. It’s much more calm and friendly
I've been through the place 8 times, mostly on business hauling cargo. The only thing I can say I hate about it is signage. Just because Victoria and NSW put "A1," "C6" "D2" or anything else instead of simply using the name of the road or highway, does not mean it's a good idea. It makes it a bitch to navigate without a GPS, and even with one, still hard. I share South Australia's pain as a West Australian, and how the east coast persistently craps on Perth as well. Looks like a nice city, and without even trying very hard, could see more than a few things to do
Cameron Doyle yeah saying 1.7 million means you're off by about 40% using ~1.3 as a basis. The whole state is 1.7, just like when people from Perth at 1.7 million think they are just slightly smaller then Brisbane. You usually see Sydney ~4.5, Mellbourne ~4 and Brisbane ~2.3. It's all how the data is collected where the Brisbane LGA is 1,2 million, surrounding metro is 2.3 million and SEQ centred around Brisbane is 3.5 million. Where Sydney & Melbourne populations are measured to the contiguous limit Brisbane's is not. There is a big gulf, the east coast cities are far bigger then adelaide or perth.
“75% of which live in the metropolitan centre” But, I appreciate the criticism and accept that I phrased it a bit misleadingly and perhaps wrong. Thanks for tuning in regardless!
Does Adelaide feel empty to you? I've heard that it's a little quiet for a place with 1.3 million people living in it. I'm from a city with a population of 1.6 million and it feels like there's literally people everywhere.
As a Sydneysider I was all fired up by the clickbaity title to tell you to stop your whinging and try enduring the messed-up chaotic shithole that is Sydney - but I am glad to see you don't take your hometown for granted. Adelaide is hectic, and were I able to, I'd move myself and my family there in a heartbeat.
We'd love to have you we're a friendly people but... The out of state drifters are pushing our rent and housing up since it's still cheaper than Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
*see, it's not a desolate ghost town with nothing to offer due to three things that happened DECADES apart* *PS: even their great bands left the place to get known*
After Sydney and Melbourne, they're ALL fairly boring, but Adelaide's Winter sucks big time. Sure, today seems to have been an awesome Spring day but you can keep April-August when the southerners look at a map and realise they can wear a singlet and thongs here in the Top End. I'm with you re the Crows - here's hoping.
Arthur Watts yeah, i embrace the cold. Nothing better than sitting round a camp fire to keep warm. Even the rain pretty epic to watch roll in. I dunno, i love the city i live in and its epic to get and explore it. But i guess that my opinion, fingers crossed for tonight!!
Looks like all that finger crossing worked - time to get to the G for the big one ! Carn the Crows ! (bandwagon jumper, but a Crows v Richmond GF would be epic, followed by Storm vs Cows on Sunday - epic weekend alert)
People often see a town that doesn’t scream out ‘THESE ARE THINGS TO DO’ as a boring city or place. There are heaps of things to do in this epic little city and its surrounds. Only boring people get bored. That’s my theory anyway.
Cameron Doyle thanks Cameron. All my cousins slag off Adelaide and say it’s boring etc they all live in Melbourne and Sydney so next time I’m over I’ll definitely put it on my list to visit. If it was that bad nobody would live there that’s the way I see it!
For years living in other parts of australia I heard people joke about the narrow minded ignorant people there. I thought they were just joking until I moved there. The rumors are TRUE. Adelaide has a lot of good points to it, there are some lovely people here too but a lot of ignorant, shallow and narrow minded people. That happens to isolated places, people don't get out much, it has an 'inbred' feel to it. This will piss people off...well tough shit, it's true. Adelaide is backwards, people don't evolve there..
Your opinions and preferences indicate that you should be removed from Adelaide and placed in Melbourne or Sydney. I know you'd really like it out there.
adelaide crows are the 2ns most feral team in afl. their fans always talks sh!t to other clubs and think they are the best team in the afl because they only won 2 flags in a row. well Brisbane won 3 flags in a row, same as hawthorn but won more flags then the adelaide chokes. they always lose against teams that struggle to have a win and all their players are so overrated. tony moder, andrew mccloud and patrick dangerfield i can repect

Lived in Adelaide for 25 years, for me it still have better shops than the Gold coast, everything you need is in Rundle mall where QLD you have to go to multiple destinations, but QLD is more green where I noticed the few times I visited my family in Adelaide everything is soooooo dry like the desert. Does the council in Adelaide don't water the grass and trees anymore?... OH and much cheaper in Adelaide for rent and food.
Lived there for almost 5 years, from Singapore. Don't r3commend this place to any non white international students. Had 2 m@jor incidents happened to me.
1) Walked out from mawson lakes train stn to campus at night. Had some1 threw an egg from a car and hit me so hard that I thought I got sh0t. 2) Walking back from a jog at night. This hippy in a broken old car accused me of burglary. Had 4-5 lots of white tr@sh turned up on my doorstep.
I left adelaide after living there for many many years. I'm happy I've left. Mad March is the only time adelaide comes alive. If you're not into footy, don't have children, there's SFA to do the other 11 months of the year. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful city, it's clean and i have many family and friends there, but there's literally nothing to do. And very few job opportunities. And after moving to Melbourne, i can confirm that the people are significantly friendly here than in adelaide and no one gives a shit what school I went to.
In Adelaide you have the beaches, Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley within 1 hour without all the traffic jams and expensive road tolls. I lived in Melbourne for 14 years and I can assure you that they are NOT more friendly than people in Adelaide. Everyone lives so far away from one another and they are only interested in themselves. The people that live in country Victoria are more down to earth.
Adelaide is a peaceful place to visit. Fucking impossible to find peace in Melbourne sometimes. But overall I prefer Melbourne. People in Melbourne still go outside, it's crazy. Try going for a walk in Adelaide you won't see a soul. But yeah can't help it, sometimes I just need to visit for some peace

@@mindfulminime7082 I'd say it's a reflection of your personality.............live somewhere else
Adelaide can be summed up in two words: tap water. Goodnight everyone!
Looks like a nice city, and without even trying very hard, could see more than a few things to do
Couldn't agree with all of this more! Except the footy thing, no bias there when it's 100% true 😝 Another great video, keep it up! 👌🏻
Sophie Dayman hahah here we go CAMRY CROWWWWW
We have a pile of steel balls as "art" next to a bridge here in Edmonton, AB Canada.
amazing!
Adelaide is like 1.1 million not 1.7
1.3 million in Adelaide. 1.7 including surrounds/SA pretty much
Cameron Doyle yeah saying 1.7 million means you're off by about 40% using ~1.3 as a basis.
“75% of which live in the metropolitan centre”
But, I appreciate the criticism and accept that I phrased it a bit misleadingly and perhaps wrong. Thanks for tuning in regardless!
Give it time. It's not like we're Tassie and full of anti-vaxers.
Very very very well made mate
Marcus Costanzo thanks bro!! Appreciate it.
my dream place to travelled with,,,, adelaide!!!! top list,,, wanted place,,,, ☺😊
Definitely gotta visit!
Hey I live in Adelaide too and it's not too bad
1972 was a great year for South Australia! Wish it was like that worldwide ;)
Adelaide looks cool but I still love my city home Melbourne
I love Melbourne
Forget something important
What’s that?
Australia is really safe like we don't have guns and bla
Does Adelaide feel empty to you? I've heard that it's a little quiet for a place with 1.3 million people living in it. I'm from a city with a population of 1.6 million and it feels like there's literally people everywhere.
i lived there in 99 for a year and its depressing
Love ya work, cheers.
Rhiannon Winchester yeah i love this city. Also a big fan of Sydney. I’ll be there next week for 5 or so days
We'd love to have you we're a friendly people but... The out of state drifters are pushing our rent and housing up since it's still cheaper than Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
@@ADerpyReality You're one of the last affordable places in Australia for people to buy a home & start a family... its madness
Living here has been the worst experience of my life.

Mount Lofty 👍
Tha LOOOOFT
*see, it's not a desolate ghost town with nothing to offer due to three things that happened DECADES apart*
*PS: even their great bands left the place to get known*
Plenty great bands still living here slaying around the country.
Definitely still lots to offer, only lazy people find a place boring.
I hate it too
WHAT ADELAIDE IS THE BEST "I PROTEST" lol
What are you protesting? Ahah
@@CameronMarkDoyle that adeladie is super cool its just boring going to school
😆
If you have rude things to say about Adelaide dont say it, keep it to yourself
but the video was pretty positive?
Adelaide is a dump. Enjoy.
Arthur Watts the winter I fine I moved there from the UK and found it not cold at all.
What’s the music you use on the end?
I also live in adelaide
Nice one, brutha
Same
Why do so many Australians slag Adelaide off? I’ve been to Australia but never Adelaide so I’m interested why it gets such a bad reputation???
People often see a town that doesn’t scream out ‘THESE ARE THINGS TO DO’ as a boring city or place. There are heaps of things to do in this epic little city and its surrounds. Only boring people get bored. That’s my theory anyway.
Cameron Doyle thanks Cameron. All my cousins slag off Adelaide and say it’s boring etc they all live in Melbourne and Sydney so next time I’m over I’ll definitely put it on my list to visit. If it was that bad nobody would live there that’s the way I see it!
Haha totally! Feel free to hit me up if you need a list of stuff to see :)
I went to school with Kid Laroi
Nice
Your opinions and preferences indicate that you should be removed from Adelaide and placed in Melbourne or Sydney. I know you'd really like it out there.
HAHA I do love both the places, this ain't no competition. I love living here too
Great job! Living in Tassie now after several overseas postings but ahh... I love me Adelaide!😍
Omg ur like the only person I know who lives in Adelaide (I do too) and tbh if u asked someone to define it they’re say it was a dish of some sort
DanielCohn ISRETARDED a dish??
Yes of all things a type of dish this is how unknown we are
Hi Cameron do you live in Adelaide?
adelaide crows are the 2ns most feral team in afl. their fans always talks sh!t to other clubs and think they are the best team in the afl because they only won 2 flags in a row. well Brisbane won 3 flags in a row, same as hawthorn but won more flags then the adelaide chokes. they always lose against teams that struggle to have a win and all their players are so overrated. tony moder, andrew mccloud and patrick dangerfield i can repect
i agree ...thats why i follow sanfl
My best friend lives in Adelaide, Australia. We lost contact and I miss her so much :(

wtf i just found this video all of the sudden and i so happen to live in calgary!?!?!
That’s a nice coincidence :)
Cameron Doyle lmao ikr!!
Adelaide is usually under strict water restrictions so don’t expect anything green in summer 😂
1:42 thats Chicago's bean/shell on drugs.
We also have the snow town murders. the Truro murders, the family murders ( Spencer von einem), the missing Beaumont kids, plus a few more.
Lived there for almost 5 years, from Singapore. Don't r3commend this place to any non white international students. Had 2 m@jor incidents happened to me.
Well im gonna come to Adelaide in March as a overseas student, these comments really got me thinking weird stuff mate 😂

This was excellent, I live 5 hours from Adelaide but it still feels like home 👌🏽
I also live in Adelaide... i agree
How's was the Lockdown lol
@@memoresto3480 if you knew, you wouldn’t make a joke of it. COVID is not a joke. I still have no regrets about leaving.
It’s so sick to see another person live in Adelaide
I like Ve in Adelaide too and Sia was in the same class as my Aunty
