How great was that video and the kit. I was watching to make sure I would be able to do. I am not a great solderer and did not want to do dry or potentially cracking while riding soldering. So to see that it is all solder free using joiners is a big plus.
I can vouch for Marsen and the 10s5p 15ah pack I bought. Installation was easy enough and I've ridden a few hundred km's already. I honestly have not ridden long enough to do a proper range test but 50km sounds like an easy target for this pack...... Thanks Marsen!!!
Marsen, I’m looking to get an upgraded battery like you have but I haven’t found a company in the US that I feel has a handle on this the way you do. I’m looking to make my own battery and I’d love to compensate you for any time/knowledge you would be willing to give me to help me get this done. I look forward to hearing from you my friend.
You are partially correct it is the esc that provides the cutoff at 31V the BMS cutoff is lower. Li-ion cells can go much lower than LiPO cells. It is very hard to provide real world capacity as capacity will change depending on load. I state on my website that power capacity is according to the specifications of the cell manufacturer. These batteries can be used with different electronics than Evolve so cutoff setting can be altered which alters the usable capacity, so some sort of standardised method of capacity measurement must be used. Hence the manufactures cell capacity.
@@marksenft6322 yeah but it can be confusing for customers. They could think they will have, for exemple, double the range according to numbers whereas it's not true. I'm telling you that because I ran a small battery business in France for few months and I've had that kind of feedback. I don't criticize you at all, as a battery builder you don't have any alternative than putting manufacturer specs.

Thanks Marsen! Very detailed and easy to follow. I'll give you a range and performance report when I've ordered and tested the your GT 10s5p pack
Curious, how is it?

Thanks for the feedback Paul.
Where can I buy a new battery for this GT?
This video helped me tremendously! Thx so much :)
Hey where can I buy the battery upgrade? I have this board. I can bratly get 9mile on this board. I really want longer range.

Nice video, can I ask you if you know where I could get the gt carbon controller? In evolve spain they don't have it
So are you guys able to ship to USA?
Original BMS is setup for li-po, not li-ion. Cut-off will be much higher so the capacity is not really 14 or 17,5ah...

Hi, great video!
Do you use the evolve charger to charge it up?
Yes you can use the Evolve standard or fast charger
@@marsen7542 great !! Thank you!
hi there, do you sell this battery upgrade?
Yes but only in Australia. Postage restrictions on Lithium batteries prevents International sales from Australia.
How much better is this new battery, I'm looking into changing my one.
Much much better. I am 120kg so the improvement is more noticeable. Can go 40kmh on incline now.
Is the 17.5ah installation the same as this one?
Yes. They are the same size physically just different capacity cells.
did you use the same bms ?
Yes it uses the original BMS
@Marsen thnx, im from México so I try to build 10s 5p with Panasonic batteries 2900 for 15 ha
Where do we buy this battery?
Available at www.marsen.com.au
Not available outside Australia.
What's size screws did You use?
M4 x 25mm
@@marsen7542 thx dude : )
Can this be done for the gtr carbon?
Unfortunately not.
@@marksenft6322 Can i Ask you, why it's not possible for Gtr ?
Thanks for advance.
