I love Watts, but he is often confusing. This is the most confusing talk so far. On the one hand there are no agents and at the same time all arguments are formulated as if there were agents.
Whats hard about a lot of spirituality/hard to understand stuff is you have to suspend beleif and accept things that appear as paradoxes. But, they are only actually hard to understand based on your current understanding
it's both from different perspectives. you are an agent like everyone else and we are all parts of one supreme agent. Think about it this way, it is impossible to have intelligent parts without an intelligent whole.
He is not necessarily to be understood but to be considered. It’s your own personal act of thinking, mulling, experimenting, and applying the principles that matters. It is then that his teachings come to life from within.
The Reason You Don’t Understand Is Because Your Trying To Understand It, Trust Me There Are Things That He Says That Are Hard To Understand But If You Letgo Of Trying To Understand It.
