Thank you for your comments. Yes, I agree he was an amazing keyboard player, and he lived in my hometown, which made it special. If you have not already done so, please subscribe to my UA-cam channel.
I met Him once in Pittsburgh Pa after a Deep Purple show there in 1996. What a nice Man and of course very talented. I listen to His work in Deep Purple, Whitesnake and his solo work all the time. Thank you Jon for all the great enjoyment over the years.
Hi Ian, Thanks for your comment. I think there is something special about the Hammond organ. I believe they used valves in them, which gave them their distinct sound. If you have not subscribed yet, I would appreciate it if you did. Thanks again, Kev.
Miss Jon lord, he was a master of the keyboard and his headstone has the first few bars of highway star on it, can’t believe he has been gone so long, there will never be another Jon lord, he was a one off, often copied but never bettered,
Why does Jon's headstone no longer look white, it is due to inclement weather, rain or snow? I hope that in spring or summer, when the weather is better, his tombstone will look as white as it was before. It breaks my heart that Jon is no longer with us, his death was a tragedy, the world of music has never been the same without him. God bless your beautiful soul, Jon..❤❤❤🎹
Hi, thanks for your comments. His headstone faces directly into the weather, and the rain has made a coating on it. I get surprised that his family does not look after the headstone better. Maybe they live too far away.
@@KGGraves Yes, the problem with Jon's headstone is the weather, that's why it doesn't look white as before. Vicky, Jon's wife and his daughters, it's not that they don't take care of the headstone, it's that in the face of inclement weather like rain or snow, they can't do anything. Perhaps the only solution would be to protect Jon's headstone with a closed glass partition, so that the headstone always looks white, so that the rain doesn't damage it anymore, but I don't know if that would be allowed in that cemetery. Because it's very sad to see Jon's headstone like this.
Hi, yes, I agree with what you said. I find that a lot of famous people's graves are neglected after a while, and it is sad. Please subscribe to the channel if you have not already done so. Thank you for your comments.
HI, have just referenced your channel in response to a query about location in "Mervyn Taylor - Visiting The Final Resting Place Of Jon Lord ( Deep Purple )" and thought that people may also be interested in "Jon Lord - It's All Music" (life story) (UA-cam channel Delboywww) narrated by Rick Wakeman.
I will never forget this great musician and humble person ❤from Germany

One of the all time great keyboard musicians. Had the privelage of seeing him play with Whitesnake in the early 80s.

Yes, a lot of people compare him to Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson, but I think they all have their own qualities.
As always excellent.
Thanks, Keith.

I wonder what the notes on the headstone play.
