Dr. Dowlati is a psychology professor with more than 30 years of teaching experience in Virginia, Washington DC, New York City, and Tehran. The focus of his research and presentations has been human cognition and life-span development. Since 1992, he has also served the community as a lecturer, counselor, school principal, and a teacher for K-12 levels as well as adults. He is currently a full professor at the Northern Virginia Community College, the second-largest community college in the United States, comprised of more than 75,000 students and 2,600 faculty and staff members. He has also been an invited speaker at different seminars and conferences around the world.
