  • Today I've got a special guest: Keith Ferrazzi, the author of Who's Got Your Back and Never Eat Alone.
Everybody knows that it's not what you know, but who you know.
How do you find successful people that can help you? Once you do, how do you convince them that you are worth mentoring?
It's give and take. If you're not willing to open up, then they're not going to open up.
Keith says, "Find a way to help. Find a way to care. The best way to get someone to like you is to make sure they know you care about them."
Do you believe that human relationships trump almost everything else?

Love it! I'm naturally 80% there, now I know why I'm super popular. I just need my backers, without it it stops me from projects and all the things I can really do to help people. This year I've been telling people HELP ME HELP YOU! Also reminding them I'm one person with 30,000+ contacts who all think they're the only who needs some asst. Its overwhelming esp with physical challenges and less time than most around me. I see soooo many solutions and I often tell my city, YOUR SOLUTIONS LIE WITHIN YOU, the commUNITY Is missing this...except at an event ie Concert, Art project, Farmers market...not enough. Too much waiting on savior even grassroots, npo, professionals. Biz owners. The only ones I see really trying to CHANGE things and develop are Young people 12-32. They realize folks are comfortable with uncomfortable stagnation and same ole same ole. Its a paradigm shift so to move the world to where we want to see it requires everyone to participate where they can. A little means a lot, people need to know not believe they matter, can make a difference and somebody cares besides them and about them, and see others like themselves. Thanks for helping me to see what others see in me, now I get it. Awesome interview!
