that's a very impressive horror experience lulling you into a false sense of security with no monsters and such then the surprise wiggler. They also added some foreshadowing to the ending being in a coma for several hours after you get out. someone thought you were dead I guess.

I think this def looks like one of the best Backrooms games, though I think it could’ve benefited from more happening during the first few levels instead of just wandering around and one or two puzzles.

This Dev is genuinely good at creating an atmosphere to the game, i think of all the backrooms games, this is the only one that is actually creepy and unnerving just from the level design and visuals alone and i think that it actually encapsulate what make the backrooms scary. Also the twist that there IS a monster worked really well since it only happened at the end, and the ending is quite an uncanny concept. In my opinion, this game is terrifying.
Definetly one of the best ones out there, too bad it's short
well I'll admit: i had a great time watching it and listening to the atmosphere, most of it felt relaxing, and not terrifying for me.

Try taking a look at "The complex" series. It is mostly just atmosphere and liminal spaces
A backroom type game that doesn't follow the same "haha copy pasta" backroom idea entirely, making it actually trippy and uncanny is really good deving. Nice to see a unique backroom game
I do think the game lacks monsters since the creep factor is there and the slow panic is also there but the actual monsters to be scared of (somewhat) is just nowhere in sight really except for the end ofc with our boi the *SQUIGGLER*
Also turns out I was wrong.. Kinda. We did get the musty carpet lvl and *run*

That cloud sequence was amazing, especially considering the fact this is an indie game.
Imagine the power and money needed to do something like that just 10 years ago...
oh my god! that actually got me at 10:35 wow....i actually haven't been scared of backrooms games for a while cause they all just seem funny and hilarious....but wow, no jump scares or monsters for so long and suddenly WHAM!! xD
Developer didnt add to many in the form of mechanics and monsters but they sure as frick did a good job with basically ever other element including creativity

this is so epic, dev actually understands the original concept of backrooms + mixing it perfectly with his own dreaming-related theme, unironically good developer

At 11:03 the song that starts playing wene the bacteria starts following you and the noises it makes somehow fits toghether really good it just makes the chase more tense for me.

I don't know how you would make a video out of it, but since you've played so many Backrooms games, what if you made a video or did a stream of you reading through the articles on the Backrooms wiki with maybe one of SR and learning more about the lore on the Backrooms? I think you and other members of SR would enjoy it.

Yes. Pretty much. Banging in your head, beeping in your ears and an immeasurable pain when doing anything with your head, be it turn your neck or move your eyes. And a passive pain.

If we follow the story from the notes that kaif barely looked at actually, the player probably get caught by whatever private or governemental group that was experimenting, and burried alive right away.
I don't know how true it is but apparently back when it was a lot harder to tell if someone was dead dead the body would be buried with a sting leading up to a bell on the surface and one of the gravekeepers jobs was to sit with the grave the first night to see if the bell started ringing

I like this backroom game because there's calm in one end and then unease in the other, then theres the ceiling which is both.

On the "no monsters in the backroom" thing at 9:26 I agree with Kaif, I like them being in there but they can't be the main thing, they kinda just have to be there but the main horror/unease is from the place itself
one thing i see alot in your videos Kaif is the screen tearing and it always makes me double check if it's on my end.

Have you done Backrooms Survival yet? It's a 'try to get as far as you can' type game by Re:Code with funny enemies, Multiplayer, and more- I watch my girlfriend play it a lot lol

Atmosphere is everything when it comes to a horror game, just can't see one without. This is why you still need to play Aliens: Isolation! It has one of the most in depth AI ever with excellent atmospheric elements.
This is by far, by a long shot, the best backrooms game ive ever seen. I know i didn't play it but holy dhit that was honestly incredible i loved watching it.
I have a theory with how people can/do enter the backrooms there are cases where the person's entire body enters the backrooms and cases where only the concise only enters and the way the person enters like them slamming their head in a wall and falling in might be full body one second and the next it's only their mind and any way someone might be able to fall in changes at random intervals

Probably one of the most interesting, non-interesting games. Looks amazing, but I could never imagine playing it would be fun.

hello, kaif. this is perhaps one of the best backroooms i've seen you play. it's good, but not like your shirt. it's a long way until it reaches perfection.
also, we now know you often commit vehicular offenses to assert dominance. this is good insight in kaif's life.

I liked this game. It had more originality than the dozens of copypaste backroom games on Steam. For once a developer actually concentrated on the quality of the game rather than making a cheap cash grab
the funny thing is that alot of good devs sold out to big companies and turned into cheap cash grabs. just look at what EA has done. companies that got famous off of amazing games in the past have degenerated and use their past reputation in order to pump out dogshit..

Is anyone else experiencing screen tearing in kaifs recorded videos?
A lot of these indie games don't have V sync or frame caps
So the framerate of the game doesnt match up with the capture card causing tearing in the recording, but not while playing
