Yet more proof that IG needs to stop pricing like they're the best and actually making something that justifies double the price of tarmac works and Inno.
Tomytex always seems to produce the most accurate models vs other brands. The downside on my experience is, its prone to paint rash. Tho the model they are producing are ultra crisp in details.
You'd think they'd have better paint prep for the prices most of their models fetch. I'd honestly love to own one of their models but the fact there's always a chance it'll just rash over no matter how good you store or display them kind of kills the appeal of their undoubtedly sharp castings for me. Me happening to live in a humid country doesn't help either.
I tried so hard to not expose them to direct sunlight but still they get the paint rash and it's just so frustrating especially it's an expensive brand but the paint is just so prone to this issue.
Tomitec is great but only one trouble is always bother collectors "the paint is easy to get paint rash" is not long lasting paint, if they upgrade their paint quality problem solve.
@@MonaKlisa depends on where you live, i live in Australia and Tomytec TLV paint isn't really prone to rash down here. however countries like Thailand, Malaysia, SIngapore, indonesia the paint does rash up quickly.
So true, its not fragile like other brand, im not to afraid if i drop the tomytec model but if i drop the inno64, focal horizon or time micro, i feel like im gonna cry😭😭. Every tomytec that i buy, i never get the defect one, but other brand i at least get some minor defect or i broke something after buy it because of how fragile there are. Inno64 for example, i love inno model because its pretty accurate and have nice finishing, but the downside is i hate how low quality the plastic base of the car, you can literally bend the plastic base easily, unlike tomytec base, eventhough its plastic, but tomytec plastic base is so solid, thick and feels good when you grab it in your hand
I like the Inno64 version but love the Tomytec packaging 😎 I also picked up a yellow version 400R made by PopRace. Rolls nice, has the Nismo on the intercooler, even has the Carbon detail on the spoiler... And it has opening bonnet ( hood) and boot (Trunk). Great wee model for the price, around $16 or so...👍
@@modelcarshoustonYeah, I'm waiting for a painted silver one, I didn't expect them to offer 300 raw silver ones at MDX 2024. There's a catch to buying one: You have to buy it as part of a set of 4 cars (3 MDX 2024 Dark Chrome Hakosukas + 1 MDX 2024 raw silver R33 NISMO 400R) at a price of RM450 (about $95.64).
nice comparation👍👍👍. but I would like still to say, it might be even better if u can compare more details like the if the modelcar replicates the disc brakes or how many photo-etched parts are being used in the model.
I am an absolute sucker for stancing. I usually side with ignition model and I still do in this case. I feel like the longer I've collected cars, the less I care about them rolling or being played in the hands...
@@modelcarshouston Hmm I don’t see many R33’s on evilbay and the ones I’ve seen are way overpriced. I can’t be the only one that wants a re-release of the r32’s and r33’s.
A lot of the pictures of the 400R I've seen, look to have the yellow center inside the black center cap. I'd say minus the weird wheel/tire sizing issue, Inno64 was more accurate as far as the yellow wheel center goes
In terms of wheel accuracy Inno64 got the LMGT1 more accurate than TLV, the centercap is actually yellow on the real car. To add it also has more wheel hardware than both of the cars (much more accurate) and the key stud pattern around the yellow centercap.
They're getting pretty good at that lately. Most of their previous stuff were basically static models it you weren't arsed to fiddle with how the wheels sit under the car so they would roll.
TLV-N always too notch but with some minor shortcomings. Inno really good and the Ignition well not worth getting. Too expensive and the quality is just on par with the cheaper inno but that’s just me.
i cant get over the supports for the wing on the tlvn model, in terms of accuracy and price/performance i think inno64 is the clear winner. the only downside for me is the headlights, but id rather have decals for a headlight housing than ugly pillars at the corners of the wing
inno64 has more details but tomytec has more accurate body shape, better headlights and better surface finish. igniton is the most expensive one but the worst one
As much as I love these brands (and I do own a couple of them), I like the up and coming brands more like Time Micro, CM Model, Street Weapon etc. Don't get me wrong, I'll still continue to buy these brands, but for detail alone, I spend more time taking snaps and videos of the ones I indicated. So spreading awareness to everybody. Check these brands out. You might find some that may fit your fancy and save you a buck or two.

Probably why they don't do 64 scale diecasts anymore.
I hope there will be a comparison video

TLVN #1 as a whole, you didnt mention how solid they feel in the hand, how well crafted and put together they are.

I wonder if you can do this again but with the Pop Race 400R🤔
Great comparison. The TLV does it for me in terms of well-balanced casting/details.
I agree!
How does PopRace and CM-Model compare to these?
Pop Race didn't release a silver one at the time of shooting this video.
CM model doesn't have a 400r.
great VDO thankyou!
Seems like I would prefer the Tomitec one.
Autoart needs to make a 1:18 scale of that R33 400R
It's not a good investment because it's not something the masses would want.

6 months passed, how about the tomytec's paint bro? Is that still good?

did you know? the winner is even the unofficial brand, Focal Horizon is actually better than them all 😅
