  • Lauren gives a summary and review of SPAWN 8, which was published in 1993. This was the triumphant return of Alan Moore to mainstream superhero comics and his first work at Image. Also, this issue was nominated for an Eisner award in 1994. Story focuses on child murderer Billy Kincaid being sent to Hell after being killed by Spawn in issue 7.
One note worth mentioning, the demon that Lauren refers to is Violator. One of Spawn's major enemies.

Great analysis! I’m gonna look for this comic. I didn’t know Moore did some Spawn. I’m not a fan of all of Todd’s art, but that art looks great. Have a super day 👍✨✨✨✨✨✨

Thanks for watching and commenting, max! Yeah, Moore wrote a couple of issues of SPAWN in the early 90s. He also wrote a SPAWN/WILDC.A.T.S. crossover. I agree with you that Todd's artwork on this issue of SPAWN is phenomenal!
