The green tea emulsion is brilliant before my sunscreen - I don’t want something thick or heavy otherwise it’s too much all day. Plus I live in a hot and very humid country - the formulation is ideal for me with my combination/oily skin.
i'm obsessed with emulsions because they're like a mix of toner, essence and gel moistruizer and i wouldn't even use them as a sole moistruizer they're basically a step before that
I’m planning on trying their green tea emulsion soon. This is the first time I’ve seen it’s consistency on video....it’s interesting 😊. Might be too lightweight as a moisturizer for me but as a serum, I can’t say no to all that green tea extract. It’s done what niacinamide promised to do without the burning.
I’m new and I enjoyed your perspective 🙌🏻 I am a holistic master esthetician with over thirty years of practical knowledge with skin and skin products. I teach beauty and aging naturally. I love watching and learning others thoughts 🍑Lisa
Isntree is probably my favorite K beauty skincare brand❤ I've actually enjoyed mixing the green tea emulsion with my Paula's choice 1% retinol in the palm of my hand. That's how I can spread the retinol more evenly while using less of an amount. Then I follow up with the hyaluronic moist cream for the dyer parts of my face. While having combo skin, I feel like I don't need that occlusive moisturizer for my t-zone. I also use the Hyaluronic acid toner, and is probably the same consistency than how you described the BHA toner...it was great when I started retinol for the first time and by choosing simple and soothing fragrance free skincare I did not experience any dryness or peeling. As a side effect from retinol, I get itching and burning if I use any skincare containing drying alcohol, so I must choose my face sunscreens very carefully... So many science savvy youtubers remind that there's nothing wrong in having a bit of alcohol in a face sunscreen because it is making the product feel more cosmetically elegant on the skin, but they fail to mention that some people get actual irritation from it and physically can't stand drying alcohol on their face. For example La Roche-Posay has this excellent spf, Anthelios Invisible fluid ("the shaka fluid"), but the alcohol is very high on the ingredient list, so no wonder it stings and makes my face itch. Luckily I can use that LRP product on the areas where I don't use retinol, such as neck and décolleté. It has incredible UVA protection so it is a really good antiaging sunscreen. It is a shame that brands aren't required to publish their UVA protection number and it's up to them if they want to. The text "broad spectrum" isn't unfortunately promising a high UVA protection.
I have the green tea toner for spring/summer, and the emulsion for autumn/winter. (52yo/oily/sensitive/acne/redness prone skin). Loving your reviews! (Edited to say) I use both of them under moisturizer. Even my skin needs more moisture than an emulsion. Gotta protect that skin barrier!☺️
I have oilllyyy skin and I use the green tea emulsion at night during the summer. I don't notice sebum control, but it's plenty for me when it's hot a humid out!
Okay so I'm 3 years late. I loveeee the whole isntree green tea line. I use the cleanser, toner, serum and emulsion. I do use the tatcha dewy skin cream over the emulsion. Unless it's hot out. But I've genuinely enjoyed all of the products I have from isntree.
I actually love the miscellar melting cleansing oil, it does what it claims. I believe for this one you have to rub the cleansing oil on to your dry face with dry hand then apply some water and rub for a minute or so for the product to produce milky white color, then rinse with water. It cleanses super well.
I have the green tea toner per recommendation from another youtuber to use for the green tea antioxidant content. I have dry skin and it doesn't moisturize but doesn't seem to dry out. And I love the look of my skin after I apply.
Great timing, Abbey! I have the Green tea toner on the way from iherb. Excited to get it and to try out more products from this line. Great review! LOL I feel the same way about the word moist! Describes the perfect cake 🍰 😂😂😂
I agree, it’s definitely something you need to use more than one bottle of to see results but it’s pleasant to use and quite beneficial for the skin. My family swears by green tea as an anti aging ingredient, the sooner you start using it the better.
Thank you! Would really love to see you review Cos de BAHA. Specifically their M.A. peptide cream. Also- I keep wondering about the effectiveness of MyChelle products. And lastly, we are all adults here... if someone is STILL hung up on the word “moisture” after everything we have been through in 2020... they need a lot more help than anything a cream product can do for ya. Why on earth did that even become a thing? It is literally one of millions of adjectives... I just don’t get it. Sorry- got derailed. Anyhoo- great video. Hope to see more of your helpful info on these brands soon and hope you’re doing well! 🙂
I have been wanting to try Isntree products. I'm excited to learn about the BHA Toner and the Moisturizers. I want to try the gel Moisturizer for daytime. I have a new bottle of Habo Labo cleansing oil to use but when I'm ready to get a new cleansing oil, I'm definitely going to try the Isntree cleansing oil! Thank you so much for this review! I so appreciate your reviews. I don't often comment but I watch all of your videos. You do an amazing job! Know that I'm always watching and I'm very grateful for all that you do. You put so much work into your reviews and it doesn't go unnoticed. I have really come to trust your recommendations. I know I will always get a solid, informative review when I watch your videos. Thank you so much! 💕 P.S. I know others do but I have no problem with the word Moist. It's used a lot by some Korean skin care companies. It makes me think of dewy, glowy skin. Lol 😁 I guess I'm just a weirdo.
Thanks for the review! I’ve seen these products around and have thought about purchasing. As far as green tea products though, I’m currently using the Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb moisturizer (also Korean). I’ve been liking it. If you get a chance to try it, if love to know what you think!
I have dry, sensitive, mild rosacea. I get combo leaning oily in the summer. I agree on heavy oils which most of them feel like that. The Isntree micellar melting cleansing oil sounds like that's for me in the summertime. Especially since it's fragrance free. Yay!
Hi Abbey ❤️ Hope you are keeping well! I have watched previous skincare videos were you said toner is not necessary. It's good that you leave that up to your viewers whether they want to use a toner or not. You doing this video is great to suggest a toner that can be used within your skincare routine. Thank you for another great review 😘.
Hi Abbey! Love the video. I’ve heard GREAT things about Isntree. I’ve been using their sunscreen and I would say I love it! It does have fragrance but I use it as a body sunscreen so I’m ok with it. Can you do review on Stratia? I’ve read their Liquid Gold Moisturizer is Amazing for repairing the skin barrier.
Hii Abbey, I have really oily and acne prone skin, which moisturizer from isntree would you recommend? Between the green tea emulsion and hyaluronic aqua gel cream
Hi Abbey! Thank you for all the videos you post! I don't wear makeup after my sunscreen. After sunscreen my skin looks very shiny. I use the purito that you recommended. What can I do so I don't look so shiny after wearing sunscreen? Again, thank you! Have a great weekend!
Hi Abbie, can you do a review on facial massagers with LED features? The benefits specifically to using LED on our skin? I’m interested in your opinion. Thank you.
DANG. i had already ordered a bunch right before watching this and could have saved almost $50 with your links! def know where i’m going in the future 😬 thanks for the awesome video and you have a new subbie 🤘💙
Woohoo!! Great review and thanks for introducing me to the Stylevana site! I have my cart ready to checkout and tried putting in your promo code and it is coming up as invalid. I'm on the Canadian site so maybe it doesn't work for us in Canada??
I love this video and I am so buying both creams, thank you Abbey, have shared you with my gf's who have commented how much they enjoy your style of videos
Oh, and I always applied it with my hands, you can feel it beeing absorbed. Isn't the essence an essence, so it comes after HA in order to lock it and before the mousturiser?
The green tea emulsion is brilliant before my sunscreen - I don’t want something thick or heavy otherwise it’s too much all day. Plus I live in a hot and very humid country - the formulation is ideal for me with my combination/oily skin.
I am so obsessed with the green tea toner 🙌🏼🙌🏼 for sensitive oily skin its the best.
It's so good!
Hey just a question, is it for everyday use? I have it and some said that it is more like "exfoliating" toner
i'm obsessed with emulsions because they're like a mix of toner, essence and gel moistruizer and i wouldn't even use them as a sole moistruizer they're basically a step before that
Hi what ur skin type . n do u think it will be good for dry skin to use it as an hydrating or basic moisturizer
Hope you like it!

I really live the Isntree green tea toner. I used it in summer, 5-7 steps, my skin lived it!
