- Was curious if it was possible to light a simple shot with just two Aputure MC lights. So I made a camera test video. Spoiler - I think yes.
Wanna help me out AND buy some of these lights? - amzn.to/2S0cLvY
Brilliant, this answers my exact question. Thanks! 🙏
I just ordered 2 of them. it is good to know that they could function as a key light. Nice video! :)
Just exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thanks for your curiosity!
Just picked up two of these! Really appreciate your thoughts and examples.
Nice practical in the back! I am a HUGE fan of your audio setup btw. Jealous!!!!
Haha thank you Nicholas.
Was wondering how these would work specifically with the ZV1. Thanks for testing the exact setup for me!
You're welcome. I'm planning another video like this with the Nanlite Pavotube 6c or whatever the model is called. I just got them in the mail the other day and I think they're a really solid option and as a bonus they're a tiny bit cheaper.
The main downside is that there's no app built in (you have to get a seperate wireless controller) but they have a lot of neat features and the tube form factor might be a better option for some applications.
This was really really helpful. Thanks a lot. I was thinking about getting two of them to light up a person when shooting videos. Thankfully you've mentioned ISO and F-Stops, so know I know it's not enough light for me. I probably need to invest in something else😅
Glad to help! I was talking with a friend the other day who mentioned they're a good way to re-enforce an existing source - Like a window or practical lighting, which is probably a more practical way of thinking about them.
If you're on a budget the Yongnuo 360 Light wands have always been one of my favorites, they travel light and come in under $200 and put out enough light for an interview for sure.
If budget is no issue, I've been really enjoying the Aputure 300x with a Light dome, but two 6x Bi-Color Astras is my main work-horse kit. Add some Matthews Road-rags and you could light just about anything smaller budget with those 3 lights.
@@BenSemisch Yes, I'm already thinking about getting two of the Yongnuo YN360 ll, they seem to fit most of my needs ( and wants) whilst staying on a budget
Good!
I would really like to buy these lights, but here in Brazil they cost half my monthly salary :(
