I didn't understand the negative and past forms. I had known about using "do" for emphasizing something but "I didn't do my homework" is the same as the usual form. For example, "I like bananas" and "I do like bananas" have different meanings but they are both "I didn't like bananas" in the past form.
I have a doubt, I've heard English speakers that say something like: -She does work now, instead of She works now Or: -She did study yersterday, instead of She studied yesterday Even a song says something like that, so do they use "do" as an auxilary verb in affirmative sentences or I'm understanding it in a bad way?
