Why are you modifying the default scenery. Its seems that from your first video you selected the default FSX scenery then deleted what you did not want. Are you going to save it somewhere else or continue to make changes to the default scenery? Dont understand.
Modifying the default to make improvements to it. You could creat a new airport if you want.I delete most of the things because often its easier to start fresh and only keep the stuff you need, than it is to move everything manually
Mapping was my thing before I had to retire. So this is like giving a kid candy. Also my son does 3d graphics and animation so he's been a good resource for advise. I've found that after taking one image as a background and setting the correct position I've been able to add on top screenshot that is smaller and extremely higher res. The larger one seems to be a bit blurry. I've also had trouble with a taxiway hooking onto a runway to correctly show the center-line stopping where the white runway perimeter lines start. It always wants to go to the center of the runway with runway links (straight center-line w/o rwy link). Also, will you be showing adding designators? Didn't see where the place you showed allowed entry. I'm kinda picky but some of the lights are not quite positioned where overhead photo shows it. After reading ADE website, looks like a lot of what I want to do is in the pro version.
+firejack007 Yes a later video discusses Taxiway designation. that will be with taxiway signs. Im not sure i get what your describing with your taxiway runway link issue. Yes you can use smaller images and layer them to get better detail. i use to do that back before Google earth pro became free and i couldn't get access to 4k images. And yea some of the list dont quite appear correctly in ADE. The pro version doesn't really have to meany extra features over the free one as far as editing. the main drive of the pro version is the license.
Country Flyboy, Could you take a moment to comment on how I can change the primary runway on a stock airport in ADE? In particular when I change the primary to the other end it changes the runway ident numbers with it instead of leaving them correct. In other words I make runway 21 the primary and it shifts the number 3 on the runway to the wrong end and adds 21 to the end going towards 030 degrees.
Thats what its going to do. You have the primary and the secondary. This way you set the properties of one runway and it is copied to the other. If you want the heading to match the number then you have to change the runways heading. So if you change RW21 to RW3 you must also change the heading to 030. Usually you dont really have a reason to change the primary though so its best just to leave primary/secondary as is.
