Nobody is buying a Prius for a luxurious interior and lots of backseat legroom. You’re literally complaining about everything this car is not meant to do. Why don’t we just complain about its off-road capabilities while we’re at it lol.
You are right. Luxurious interior is not the selling point. •Reliability •Durability •Fuel efficiency Also, how does the battery for hybrid hold up? Is it expensive to replace? Can the prius be bought at advertised MSRP price? If not, why not?
I will say that my favorite thing about my '16 prius was that I could lay down the back seats, inflate a standard height air mattress and sleep in the back comfortably for long trips. So the less room in the back and lower roof is a concern for me

Most Prius ppl aren't into this car for "luxuries." We want outstanding reliability, fuel economy & an extra bonus would be an improved exterior syling. The 2023/24 Prius fullfilled these categories nicely👌. ( Oh, & to compare a Hyundai to even a 10yr old Prius is laughable! Hyundais have almost no resale value for a reason; few last over 100k miles & they're hideous looking. If you're dropping 20k+ anyway, get QUALITY! Get the Toyota!)
Japanese cars in general, offer the better resale vale and long term reliability. Almost no one talks about this. All they talk is now. Buy German cars and wait 4 years to see how much repair cost you will pay.
I once owned a Volkswagen. High oil consumption and the timing chain made strange noises. My DSG clutches were also worn out at 50,000 kilometers. They don't know warranty at Volkswagen "is a product feature" they said to me. I am happy with my reliable Toyota and the e-CVT is the best automatic I have driven because linear acceleration is wonderful and the e-CVT is extremely reliable.
The Prius is its own beast at this point its not luxury like an escalade or something but its better than a base corolla which it looks luxurious next to when you look at the level of tech. It almost aboht costs a lucury level wallet if you ever have to repalce that battery man
i'm still buying the base SE prime lol, great looks, best gas savings, highest HP for "cheap" compact hybrid, top reliability and $7000 government EV rebate. Nothing else beats it

The rebate does not apply for prius since its a japanese imported car. Forget about that. Get a Tesla 3 instead if you want that tax credit, btw its 3500 for most of the cars and 7000 for some specific trims and models. I love the New Prius, but I have the feeling I'm paying too much for it. Ill probably go for the elantra hybrid facelifted lauching this year in the States

Exactly Toyota owners know ! The Prius Prime is an amazing vehicle made with great performance, quality design in Japan 🇯🇵. The engine to EV transition is smooth as silk , 40 real miles on all Electric ⚡️ with real instant torque at low speeds , makes for fun driving. Highway driving is Performance if one chooses !!! 2024 7,000 miles … ❤
Gee, I just checked the Toyota website and there was only $7,000 between the bottom and top trim levels - not the $15,000 you are complaining about. Makes me wonder if you actually work for some other car maker and are trying to sway buyers with false information. The things you complained about are NOT problems. The Prius is NOT a high end luxury car and if that is what you want, buy a Lexus.

Came back after getting my 2023 Prius last month. I will say, the back seat is a bit small for a 6'3 guy like me, but otherwise, this car is top tier. I felt the instrument cluster is easy to see, the price is good, if you get the PHEV version like me, it is quiet and smooth, even flooring it. The trunk space is good, and the extra storage in the underneath is great for accessories and emergency supplies. Overall, it's the best car I have owned. Back seats could be bigger though, just saying.
@@theredsalmon612 I am fairly normally proportioned, I am a bit overweight, which means when I sit, my stomach pushes me up and I have a large rear end, so that also increases my size. You can always go to any Toyota Dealer and ask to look at any 2023 Prius Model and see if it's okay, even if you do not test drive.
@@theredsalmon612 I am 6’2 and a 32 inseam and I fit in the car just fine. My only complaint is getting it. I have had trucks and SUVS my whole life. However if this were my only car and I had get in and out all the time, I might be looking at something else.
I'm renting a LE. I'm 5' 11" and the freaking back seat is so tight. There's hard plastic everywhere. The instrument cluster is CLUSTERED literally. The engine is loud too. It feels like a cheap Uber. The backyard passengers don't even get padding for their arms 😂
You also will get ZERO support from Hyundai/Kia dealerships, not to mention the company itself. Their cars would be great if they actually stood behind their product, but their corporate strategy is blatantly anti-consumer, so it's a pass for me.
Its a hybrid it isnt a 4 banger naturally asirated. Even this toyota will cost you with that design when you start going 10 15 20 years. Thats the townside to the design. Good fuel economy all those years but someones going to pay for the battery replacement
@@Lorde360Hyundai will do everything in their power to weasel out of honoring that warranty. Forget to change your oil exactly on the dot? Even by a couple of miles? They’ll deny your claim, even if it’s not even engine related.
No thanks on the Sonata. I dont deny they have gotten better but long term reliability and resale still isnt there. The Prius has a proven track record.
The only negative is the horrific lack of inventory. We are almost in October and not a single dealer near me has had one on the lot. That’s a huge turnoff and makes me want to get something else.
Agreed. Ordered mine in the LA metro area in March 2023 and got a call yesterday that they had a car for me. However, it was only because someone else cancelled their order that was ahead of me on the list. So I got lucky too.
Uh of course they don't have any. Hot new redesign. You have to order or catch one in transit to dealer and put down payment on to get one. Same with any other popular car these days. I only had to wait a month luckily. Worth the wait. Patience young Padawan. Patience.
I have no problem with the gauge cluster . adjust your seat in height and you will see all the gauges. As for to much information, I love that you get this, You can always hide unwanted info and simply see the speedometer, so I don't think it's a problem at all. You can't compare Hyundai vs Toyota!. first of all, the hybrid system in Toyota is much better, and the engine uses both port and direct injection while Hyundai is direct only which will cause carbon buildup.
I agree. I am 5 foot and I don't have any viewing problems. I move the steering wheel all the way down and I see the information displayed on the dash.
I would give up slightly less cargo space for a much better looking car that doesn’t make me cringe every time I walk up to it to get in. all of the sacrifices they made were in good taste I believe I think most people are more than happy to give up a few inches of storage space and headroom for a infinitely better looking car when you make everything practical you end up with really ugly cars, you have to have some design as a priority, because nobody likes an ugly car. Everyone cares about what their car looks like and that’s something a lot of economy car manufacturers can never wrap their head around, so I think they did an amazing job with the design of this new Prius and people get what they want a good looking economical, reliable car they’re not buying it for a luxurious interior or tons of storage room they’re buying it because it’s just a good reliable car they can pretty much do anything you need the car to do with great gas mileage, and very reliable and ain’t to bad to look at. That’s why people will buy the new Prius.
I have owned the new 2023 for the last few weeks. Has much more pickup than any previous versions. The car has a much smaller trunk. If you need to put a walker or wheelchair in the back, you must take down both back seats. You can’t change out any of the lights on the inside for aftermarket; they all use a circuit-style light. The dome and reading lights in front aren’t that bright. The car looks very sporty inside and out. If you are six feet or taller, watch your head getting in and out; the ceiling is cut significantly lower than in previous generations. The main car battery is back in the trunk, which is more accessible. The car has no spare tire, so if you buy one, you lose a lot more of your trunk. The vehicle makes a cool noise when driving slowly through parking lots, more of a head-turner for people. I do like the lock and unlock noise from the car; it’s new and sounds great. You can turn on your vehicle and off from an app. Car has built-in Wi-Fi from AT&T, not as fast as Verizon, but the connection has not been an issue as the connection is stable everywhere. Also, in the app, you can see the health of your car, see if your doors are unlocked, and lock them. I wish the app would let you roll windows up and down. The car is ultra quiet on roads and freeways. This is the fifth Prius I have owned; they have never broken down. I have never taken any of my Prius previously to a shop for any repairs and that’s with the cars having over 300k in miles. ~Chad James
@@KevininSC I had mine done every 30k, but I have friends who have 200k miles and have never done it. I recommend doing it because that is luck on their part
I think that the trunk on the 2023 xse is actually bigger that the previous prime model, and yea, no emergency wheel no lift jack, wonder what will be gone next in the name of fuel efficiency. Just saying.
1: its not a luxury car. If youre looking to get a hybrid luxury car with the same reliability get a UX Lexus hybrid. Aint no way youre comparing a Hyundai and Toyota.
It's a Toyota, not a Lexus. It won't be a premium vehicle along with the rest of their lineup. Now, if Toyota made a Lexus version of the Prius, then that would be much better.
You forgot a really important drawback. Availability, and Toyota Dealers adding upcharge markups. Where I live, the dealership cannot even get them. According to the Sales Manager, only major markets are getting any of them, so if you want one, you may have to drive to a big city to get one. The Big City Dealers are adding 5000 to 10000 dollar markups, AKA market adjustments. The 28000 may be more like 38000 to actually buy. So, no thanks for now. I will keep driving my 2007 Prius. It still does great.
I live in Houston and while it did take until July to get one, I paid MSRP. There were 3 other dealers that wanted a markup and told them to get lost lol we gotta stop paying markups. Let them drown in unsold inventory.
@@williamboren4579 I did the same thing. We have only one Toyota dealer in my town but I went to one that was 35 miles away and couldn't be happier with it. The owner of the dealership I purchased the Prius from does not allow mark-ups on his new vehicles.
Thank you so much for this video. I have a 2018 Prius, which I love. And I usually keep my car for 10 years. Still, I was curious about the 5th generation. You have confirmed a lot of my concerns. It is too low, with huge blind spots, and much smaller interior spaces. For me, a big issue has always been interior noise. And you answered that question for me! No 5th generation for me. I'll wait till the 6th generation.
I ordered a 2023 Prius LE in April of 2022. Yes, prices have indeed gotten a little crazy on new vehicles but for the reputation of Toyota for durabliy over other makers, I choose Toyota. The 6-way manually adjustable drivers seat, along with the tilt/telescopic steering wheel easily overcome the line of sight defect of the instrument cluster. There are 2 USB-C ports under the armrest in the center console, allowing you to charge your phone so the convenience of wireless is no big deal. Yes, even with the windows up, road noise is significant for a luxury vehicle but about normal for a small high-mileage (70 mpg typical) vehicle. All in all, I think the points made are comparing apples and oranges; expecting high end luxury from a lower-end vehicle. That is not to say that it deosn't have it's share of problems. Fuel mileage is great and performance is fantastic for a 4 cylinder but the electronics have their share of troubles. Entertainment/information systems that get trapped in endless boot cycles, loose/defective rack mounts causing the vehicle to brake unexpectedly, rear door locks that can short out opening the door unexpectedly, and others. One specific was the rear hatch lower moulding. It lacks adequate support for the shock of closing the hatch so that it vibrates until it cracks; this was NOT covered under warranty and ran over $500 to replace!
You are comparing a Hyundai to a Toyota? I mean come on, Toyota is the Pioneer of hybrid technology. I would only buy a Toyota hybrid. I actually bought my first Prius and I bought it for one thing, reliability and its gas saving features. I have no passengers and all the things you listed I have no concern with. I came from a Lexus RX350 and I think the interior is fine. What you failed to mention is that the new Prius has more power and better handling than the old generations. Yeah the blind spot of the gauges is a bit of an issue, but you move the panel over and can see what you need. IMO they should have used a heads up display on the windshield, but maybe come later. You are paying Toyota quality, if you want garbage, buy the Hyundai.
I am small lady and have owned 3 Prius over the years. I do not like the dash w gauges not only right in front of driver now but elevated. When I adjust seat to be able to see, the steering wheel sits on my lap…this cannot be safe.
This guy is a hater lol. My friend was in the back of mine and had plenty of room and he’s 6’2”. The engine noise goes away when the engine warms up. 6K in mine and I have to turn on power monitoring to be sure the gas engine is running. The interior is the nicest in any car I’ve ever owned. I like the hard plastic it’s easy to clean. If you want luxury buy a luxury car. My Prius prime is dope. Don’t listen to this guy who is recommending a Kia! Lol
I've had many prius in the past, the most recent was a 22 prius prime limited. I traded it in for the 23 prius prime xse premium. The trunk space improved greatly going from this big lumpy thing in the 22 to an indented space with the 23. With the 22 limited, you'd think they would put their high end technology package in there. Did they? Nope. They had Android Auto for the base model and that was it. I'll say this about the 23: the Android Auto playing music is fine, but if a companion wants to watch a video (with audio), it will not let you control the volume, even when there's sound coming from the speakers. Sometimes you can, but it's a 50:50 shot. The buttons for the drive mode, traction control, etc is in a horrible spot if you have to reach for something on the passenger side. All in all, it's a very outstanding vehicle.
You don't buy a toyota because you want a luxury car. You buy a toyota because of its reliability and price. I'll have to say. My 2023 prius limited awd. Is close to luxury cars. All these new luxury cars are built cheap. I was kinda bummed the the cargo area was decreased. But I mostly commute just myself
I have a Prius. I have had my own share of different cars and brands in my life time, and this is the MOST trouble free car I ever owned. My thing is reliability/hassle freeness, more than anything. I hate taking cars in for repairs. BTW, I never thought of Prius as a luxury item, but a reliable tool for transportation.
I have ordered a 2023 Prius some time ago. Toyota continues to promote a very beautiful car with very little actual production. I get how COVID-19 changed everything. But Toyota better wake up!
Hardly think this review is appropriate for this car; nobody buys a Prius for luxury or cargo space. It’s a very basic, practical and reasonably priced car for daily driving! The Hyundai comparison is laughable, when Toyota quality is leaps and bounds ahead in reliability!
Not gonna lie it's an improvement over the previous generation. But that stupid gauge cluster is my main reason for not buying it. That's the worst gauge cluster set up I've ever seen on a car.
I hate the new gauge cluster. That's my only complaint after sitting inside the new Prius, coming from someone who gas owned a 2nd and 3rd Gen. The gauge cluster should be placed back where it used to be. It sticks up, obstructing view as well as making the driver more distracted trying to see it behind the steering wheel. If they'd change that, the new Prius would be about as good as it can get.
I've heard this complaint over and over and I'm just not getting it. Maybe because I have the limited and have a power seat. I never liked the display over to the right of the driver. It made me crazy.
I've sold Toyota, Hyundai and Honda. No Hyundai, Kia or Genesis for me. Especially after that $1.3 billion settlement only 2 years ago for ENGINE FIRES!!!. Yeah, that's billion with a "B".
I’ve owned a Prius v for 11 yrs and I love the new model..BUT. The only thing I don’t like is where they positioned the instrument panel behind the steering wheel..I love the old style where it’s located off to the right side thus allowing a far better view out the front with nothing obstructing your view. It’s like a permanent heads up display which I find very distracting while driving..
Thank you for this list. The only negative I really see is the new instrument cluster behind the steering. It looks small and far. Even though the previous generation had the information in the center, it wasn’t obstructed by the steering wheel. I don’t think the other complaints matter to a Prius owner or customer unless you have adult kids. They will offer to drive and make the parents sit in the back 😂. Thanks again.
Actually the instrument cluster was a concern for me the entire six months I waited for my Prius to come in. This is my third Prius and I have absolutely no problem with the display. I love everything about the new design.
@@computerweenie very good to know. I know someone who will be on their 4th Prius. I don’t think they will get anything else. It is a great vehicle. Thank you.
Don’t forget they also reduced the rear seats making it useless for adults on road trips. I’ll keep my 2019 prime until it hits 300k miles. We sold our 2021 Tacoma 4x4 Trd off-road because of the lack of leg room(sold it at 10k miles). My dad has a 2005 with 385k with minimal maintenance.
I knew all about these things, and I am not bothered, and while the cargo space reduced, I was still able to put in 4 six foot trees. My problem is the screen. A couple times it shut on and off for a bit, very annoying. Told the mechanic during it's first tire rotation, but starting two days ago, the screen continually goes off and on and when it comes on, the volume is at 23, even if you turn it down. I've tried to turn it off but it comes back on. I've held the off button a few seconds, it comes back on. The other function keys would not work, but today they were, but it was still turning on and off. Get it checked Wednesday. Supposedly, no recalls on this but it's so annoying. I don't want to drive it now til it's fixed because I can't shut it off.
Over the past 15 or so years, ive noticed that with every update or change they put in new models to make them exciting, they usually break or remove features that everyone wants. It’s some sick game.
That's amazing. The waitlists seem much longer than that. I was #1 in line for the new one, took 5 months, almost 6 but 11 months in total since I was waiting since July of last year. Most that come are LEs, but I have an XLE.
Problems? Toyota plastics may be basic, but after 7 years my Prius 4 appears brand new. Same for all Toyota models. Noise issue? sure when I drive a normal car I do not hear my children that piss me off rapidly in my Prius.... :D. I do not understand comparison between Toyota and Hyundai honestly, owned a Hyundai and it has been the last. I do not see the problems mentioned in this video....Prius 4 remains great, Prius 5 amazing!
I’m average height person, have no issues at all with the information cluster being behind the steering wheel, this is my 3rd Prius, they are not a luxury car, they are will not win races, etc, but no other car can beat the fuel efficiency, cheap maintenance, etc.
I have a 2023 Prius Prime XSE, and while I love the car overall, I do have a few issues with it. My biggest problem is the power rear hatch. Once opened, there are two buttons that will close it: One just closes it, and the other closes and locks it. The first one ALWAYS works, with a little chirping. But the "close and lock" button works about 75% of the time. When I press it, it chirps indicating it received the command, but then it may decide that it does not want to close after all, with it's own chirping pattern. Once it has decided not to close and lock, repeated attempts will get the same result. As I said, the simple close ALWAYS works, but something is causing the "close and lock" to say "No, not this time." Then I have to press the simple close button and dig the gob out of my pocket to lock the car. I should not have to do that. I have been driving this car for over a year now, this is an ongoing problem. I strongly suspect that it is a software issue in the mechanism.
I have a 2006 Toyota Prius and over 510.000 km on it without any problem with the car and I it run's on GPL as well... tell me another brand that can take this kind of Km without issues !!!
Many people complain about the cluster location. I’m 6’ 0” and I sit fully upright when driving. I have my seat as low as it will go and I haven’t had any difficulty seeing my gauge cluster. In the traditional setup I always found myself ducking down to see under the top edge of the wheel. So for me this is a welcome change. But the wireless charger. The main complaint I see and have is that almost all phones just won’t charge in the #uselesscharger. iPhone, android, doesn’t matter, very few models charge and almost no phones will charge in a case. Other than that, none of the “issues” in this video bother me or most other gen 5 Prius owners.
But the 2024 Prius looks amazing ! I have no problem seeing the dash instrument cluster. So far I only have 300 miles and love it. You are crazy … I find the car far quieter than my previous Corolla and Camry
The price is always an issue. I recently noticed the liftgate black plastic trim cracked from closing vibrations. Toyota has not issued a TSB or anything on this. I figured I had 8 year B2B coverage so it should have been a warranty replacement; WRONG! The B2B warranty does NOT cover trims! The third brake light, liftgate release, and rear camera are all molded into this trim! The result was a repair bill over $400! Now at 12,800 miles, the radio reboots, operates for 50 seconds, then goes black and reboots cyclically.
If you take in account of the very high insurance, the money you save on gas doesn’t make it any more economical, but except that I’m having electronic problems right now, I love my 2023 Prius excl aw drive.
Alot of these "issues" are not even an inconvenience, at least for me personally (excluding the price tag obviosuly). Im currently driving a super beat up 1998 Toyota Corrola. I just need a car that saves me money on gas, gets me to work, and lets me drive a few friends and family around. Luxury is not a priority.
The most stupid Prius video. There are no real problems in the video. 1 No one buys a Prius for Luxury. Want Luxury!? Buy a Lexus. 2 Rear Seating? Two 6 ft adults can fit without a problem. 3 Leg room is adequate, its a compact car...want more?! Buy a Camry hybrid. 4Cargo space same that point 3. 5 Instrument cluster could have been in a better place or bigger, but not a deal breaker. 6 Engine noise? ALL hybrid cars have noises...that "issue" is pointless. 7 Prices: there are different trims for different budgets, so once again pointless. 8. Toyota is the most reliable brand...not like Hyundai and other brands. Bottomline: useless video.
I think The most annoying flaw in the Prius is that the door locks are not automated. Almost every modern car locks the doors once you start driving, and unlocks them once you turn off the car or open a door. Not the Prius, you can go from a state to another with the doors unlocked if you don't intentionally lock them. WHYY???
Apparently all reviewers are finding the mpg is FAR less then the estimate. Also "okay" seats that are "better than Corolla but not up to the ones in the Elantra". CVT is also robbing the feeling of "power" which Toyota made important over mileage and this is reflected in pretty much all the praise from people - talking about the performance numbers and not pretty mediocre mileage people are getting. The Sonata is an excellent choice instead - they said compared to the Elantra, it is wider interior, more luxurious interior, more power, and availability (its exterior was NOT popular, but with the refresh coming that is extremely likely to change). So the Sonata is the diamond in the rough - they also said the Kona is a good choice for cargo space etc. Elantra Hybrid is better mpg in "real world" .. just look up Alex on Autos .. he said the Prius is rated higher BUT people are getting far less AND the Elantra tends to beat the estimated mileage.
This is my first prius. I have had turbo noisy cars. Reving noise of prius sounds like a bit racy to me so all good. Price was a bit pricey. Would of bought a honda accord hybrid but only 2wd. Awd was big selling point for me as well as mpg prius gets. Dont have a wireless phone so all good here. Turbo charge ports work fine for my android type c phones. Display for speedo is fine for me . I am 6 foot though. Head room is fine, but cargo is limiting. You really have to make use of styrofoam compartments under back trunk mat to save space. All in all i am still very happy with my new xle. Hopefully they improve in next five years when i plan to buy another one.
Your pricing in the beginning of the video and at the end are inconsistent. You feign outrage at the cost for the high end at the beginning but at the end its the usual Toyota step - not at all as extreme as indicated. Seems like a hit piece in my opinion.
My 2023 Prius has unexpectedly gone from 51 mpg to 42 mpg. Can't figure out why. I had a 2020 Hyundai Ioniq and all around it was a much better car. 65 mpg, more comfortable, roomier, better ergonomics, smoother ride, etc... I like the Prius but loved the Ioniq
Nobody is buying a Prius for a luxurious interior and lots of backseat legroom. You’re literally complaining about everything this car is not meant to do. Why don’t we just complain about its off-road capabilities while we’re at it lol.
You are right. Luxurious interior is not the selling point.

i'm still buying the base SE prime lol, great looks, best gas savings, highest HP for "cheap" compact hybrid, top reliability and $7000 government EV rebate.

Exactly
Toyota owners know !
Wait, you think a Hyundai and a Toyota are at the same level of quality?

Came back after getting my 2023 Prius last month. I will say, the back seat is a bit small for a 6'3 guy like me, but otherwise, this car is top tier. I felt the instrument cluster is easy to see, the price is good, if you get the PHEV version like me, it is quiet and smooth, even flooring it. The trunk space is good, and the extra storage in the underneath is great for accessories and emergency supplies. Overall, it's the best car I have owned. Back seats could be bigger though, just saying.
Do you have a long torso or long legs? I struggle with headroom at 6’3” in many cars but haven’t tried the new prius. Have a longer upper body
Someone who upload this video wants this prius but can't afford to get one 😂😂
The Elantra is pretty much guaranteed to break within 5-7 years, the Prius will probably still be humming along in 20 years. 🤷♂️

No thanks on the Sonata. I dont deny they have gotten better but long term reliability and resale still isnt there. The Prius has a proven track record.
I have driven the 2023 Prius a few times. It is amazing. This review is from left field. Driving is believing.
It’s certainly not cheap but it does look wayyy better than the previous generations!!
Way, way, better!
Not as cheap as your mom yea
The only negative is the horrific lack of inventory. We are almost in October and not a single dealer near me has had one on the lot. That’s a huge turnoff and makes me want to get something else.
Ordered the Prime last 10 august! My dealer in Italy say that the time for delievering is short!5 to 6 months!😁dont care!i can wait!😉
Patience.
And the plastic everywhere.
Does the Sonata compare to the Prius? are you joking ?
~Chad James

Seven problems that aren't problems, some people just like to criticise the Prius.
It's a Toyota, not a Lexus. It won't be a premium vehicle along with the rest of their lineup. Now, if Toyota made a Lexus version of the Prius, then that would be much better.
I hope people know you can adjust the steering wheel accordingly.
This video is full of distortions and obviously no actual experience being in the car or driving it

The instrument cluster in front of the steering wheel is perfect. I love my 2023 prius. This video made me laugh.
I'll take any Toyota over the Slopnata anytime.
Lol
How can you compare a Hyundai to a Toyota? Huge quality difference.
"Quality" means something different to me i guess
The only CON is that there is no spare wheel. And PRO is 55 miles per gallon. the rest of your story is just a bla bla bla !!!!
Technically, the cargo room is bigger than the previous Prius prime.
Car looks so much better👍I’ll sacrifice these things🤔if these things are really important to you over all the great changes, buy something else then✌️
I have ordered a 2023 Prius some time ago.
Low profile 19" tires has caused me 2 blowouts in 3 months of owning it. Please buy the tire package if you get the 19" tires.
If you want luxury, you should buy a Lexus. And if you want space, buy a RAV 4 hybrid

Will let you know if I agree on this, just got my 2023 Prius Prime XLE Premium locked in and ordered, should be delivered in ~10 days.

WHO is expecting luxury from a Prius? I think is beautiful and one of the best options out there.
I’m average height person, have no issues at all with the information cluster being behind the steering wheel, this is my 3rd Prius, they are not a luxury car, they are will not win races, etc, but no other car can beat the fuel efficiency, cheap maintenance, etc.
Hey, lets look at the problem with my 2023 Chevy Bolt and noise. Turn it on and you hear nothing. This can be very confusing.
Comparing Toyota to KIA/Hyundai is laughable. And even more laughable when hearing as good or better! 😂😂😂
I have a 2006 Toyota Prius and over 510.000 km on it without any problem with the car and I it run's on GPL as well... tell me another brand that can take this kind of Km without issues !!!
The hard plastics make it durable and trouble free.
Thank you! I'm disappointed that the cargo space has gotten smaller but that's good to know.
But the 2024 Prius looks amazing !
I have no problem seeing the dash instrument cluster.
So far I only have 300 miles and love it.
You are crazy … I find the car far quieter than my previous Corolla and Camry
I laughed at the comparison to the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Sure and let’s compare an Avalon to a Ford Escort next!!
Me too lmao. This video is trash.
I got sad when they reduced the cargo space. I like to car camp on trips. My 2021 can hold a Yeti cooler and a bed in the back lol
WTF... it's an entry level economy vehicle. Comparing apples to oranges here.
Id rather buy the prius for the reliability. that Hyundai i bet it wont last as toyota.. besides this Prius really looks great 💯
If you take in account of the very high insurance, the money you save on gas doesn’t make it any more economical, but except that I’m having electronic problems right now, I love my 2023 Prius excl aw drive.
Imagine comparing buying a brand new Hyundai to a Toyota lol
Moral of the story is people always have negative things to say no matter what i love this pruis
Null and derogatory comments !
I think The most annoying flaw in the Prius is that the door locks are not automated. Almost every modern car locks the doors once you start driving, and unlocks them once you turn off the car or open a door. Not the Prius, you can go from a state to another with the doors unlocked if you don't intentionally lock them. WHYY???
prius is not a luxury car...
They need to redesign their steering wheels.
good points 👍
I do agree that ALL cars with wireless charging need to offer some form of cooling option.
Love the looks, but the interior isn’t good. Test drove one and I’ll be keeping my old model. The headroom and cargo space is noticeably smaller.
Same!
And no spare tire.😩
What in the world people think Prius is a luxury car 🤔
It is compared to many sedans. Compared to a base corolla and civic its way more luxury. Has all these luxuries
Hopefully they improve in next five years when i plan to buy another one.
just wanted to say I've been waiting for solar roofed cars for over a decade now
I hope to see Tesla incorporate that technology soon
That cros in my mind too
The prius does offer that in one of its trim levels.
Your pricing in the beginning of the video and at the end are inconsistent. You feign outrage at the cost for the high end at the beginning but at the end its the usual Toyota step - not at all as extreme as indicated. Seems like a hit piece in my opinion.
Sonata hybrid...yeah right.
You can't compare a Hyundai with a Toyota never ever.
Yes you can. Its one of the few things that will convince you toyota is still relavent
Hey! The prius is really nice inside!!
Most buyers of the newer Prius probably don't have kids so lack of leg room in the back is probably not a big concern.
You think it's expensive? I just had a look at the EU prices here, lowest price is €43,900, which is close to $50k, why such a gap?
Ouch!!
Theyre trying to rip people who have enough money to buy something at the stealership bro
I love it!
I rented it for two weeks and I liked my old Prius better.
