a stick blender would cause too much foam & bubbles with the surfactant. You need to use a whisk or a stirrer that's low shear.

you can use Carragenan not Xanthan as its anionic and not compatible with a cationic emulsifier. Thanks for answering my request for a 2in1 product formulation. Did the guar HPC function as a thickener here too? Or was there an ingredient included in the surfactant blend?

Guar gum does some thickening but not much. The cationic guar is in the formula to help with the conditioning mostly. The cetearyl alcohol is gonna do most of the thickening here.
