The thing here are: 1) how fast does it clear the buffer? 2) can you start recording while clearing the buffer?, 3) How fast switches from photo to video and vice-versa after saving the content?
I do plan on getting an R5 C but the R3 is my favorite camera right now. I am still going to keep the R3. I do not really care what the R1 turns out to be.
I love almost everything about this camera, accept for the colours in video, it has too much red/magenta. You need to dial this out for nice looking image. The 1080p, is even amazing, i believe it is over sampled and you can shoot 240p fps and the image is decent. 👍
what profile are you using? Haven't felt a disproportionate amount of magenta's but I usually tend to tune the image to something I like as soon as I get the chance. Probably why I haven't noticed, cause I usually like my end result. and yes you're right 1080p is amazing! im super shocked as well, definitely feels sharper than regular 1080p
@@Irvingdejong i use clog3, i have adjusted the red out in camera and made a custom LUT. Quite good now but colours are massively different to my EOS R.
@@waynosfotos It's also likely because the EOS R is 10bit. That's cool. I'm about to put out a video Testing Joel Famularo's Phantom luts (simulates Arri) that officially came out for Canon.
@@Irvingdejong i do believe the EOS R is 8 bit, but the colours are so nice and easy to get a nice looking image. It is also clog1 so hasn't got the same depth to push them. And i am glad i passed on the R6 and R5. The R5c battery life makes this camera a nightmare unless you rig it out with a seperate battery and I don't want this as my video style is lightweight on a gimbal with a monopod getting creative shots so the R3 suits my filming perfect. 👍
I'll be honest with you, I can't miss what I've never had. I am going to have a look at the video menu of the R5C to see how much more it would give me for my kind of work.
@@Irvingdejong thanks very much mate. I would like to know what exposure tools the R3 has, just zebras? The R5C I think it has more codecs and false color. The dynamic range is very similar right ? By the way, I love the 6k RAW shoot in your video.
@@raypic i use histogram, the exposure gets it close. Unlike other canon cameras you can't push the highlights to the right edge, you need it one bar back on the histogram.
Uhmmm, Canon C70? Its nice. But you talk too much about the quality. Go shoot more and have fun instead of looking too much at the specs. Give yourself some happiness haha ;)
L... the C70 isn't a hybrid. & He's talking about a camera and it's hybrid-ability. How else is he suppose to do that without mentioning its specs? "it's not all about specs" - no shit, but let's be real sometimes it is. You're not going to tell Roger Deakins to use an iPhone on set are you? No, cause it's not always flowers and candy in the real world.
Thanks for this sane review brah
Bruh Make more videos pls
love this channel
I'm from St.Vincent....enjoyed the shots
yo! and Thanks!
I knew it was one of my places ,I have family there and I am from Trinidad,I think this is the camera for me too
I’m rocking an R5&R6. And I absolutely love them. Maybe an R3 one day. Not sure I need all that. Great video.
Once you shoot with this camera, you won't go back.
@@waynosfotos I believe it! I look at my R5 and it’s hard to believe there is a better canon product out there. I absolutely love it.

Clog 2? I didn’t think that this camera came with it.
In raw you get access to clog 2 in divinci
@@RockyMaiviaMiami No, just try to switch to clog in davinci and you will not see any difference. So just clog3
