    Love how he never really gives his secrets out for his techniques. Even when talking about his tuning he says really softly like he doesn't really want to.

      He's said that the fifth string is used for percussive playing

      just think of it like a square (two frets and two strings apart) and figure out your own way to execute them like popping both strings, hit them on the fretboard like he does a lot, strum, etc.

      and he does weird tunings so most of the times his octaves aren’t done like they are in standard tunings

      2 strings and 2 frets up from your starting note. in standard tuning, this applies to every note on the fretboard.

      Anyone can make a riff on spot the reason its heavy cause its on drop tuning.

      Pretty sure his first Thumb was a BO, that's what he's playing in the Dig video, anyway. His fretless is NT for sure.

      J Borg Pretty Sure he uses an Nt in dig, Both the bolt ons and the neck throughs are extremely similar. Nt has a little more sustain, but both incredible instruments!
