Love how he never really gives his secrets out for his techniques. Even when talking about his tuning he says really softly like he doesn't really want to.
@@amilcarantunes1579 he never almost uses the B string, that's why he also uses 4 string basses He's said that the fifth string is used for percussive playing
just think of it like a square (two frets and two strings apart) and figure out your own way to execute them like popping both strings, hit them on the fretboard like he does a lot, strum, etc.
J Borg Pretty Sure he uses an Nt in dig, Both the bolt ons and the neck throughs are extremely similar. Nt has a little more sustain, but both incredible instruments!
"make it beefier" "it sounds munchier" "get a little more meat out of it"
sounds like someone's hungry...
+Dev In tap 5 for beef :P
oontur- mench , must've been getting close to lunch time
He is the bassman just the one, a master, i can’t stop listen him
"oo! That's a cute little diddy"
I died.
0:14 Ryan before Mudvayne gets on stage

1:49 wtf ...amazing
How do i get this amazing bassist in my band?
Pay billions of dollars
Ryan is awesome!
Still don't know how the fuck he plays octaves like bruh this dude is a god
It's not too bad once you figure it out ;)
just think of it like a square (two frets and two strings apart) and figure out your own way to execute them like popping both strings, hit them on the fretboard like he does a lot, strum, etc.
and he does weird tunings so most of the times his octaves aren’t done like they are in standard tunings
2 strings and 2 frets up from your starting note. in standard tuning, this applies to every note on the fretboard.
everyone loves that fucking butterfly technique
does the riff he plays from somewhere or did he come up with it?
if its in a song please mention it.
Whats the teckinque of the slapping that made that crazy sound?
|
what does he say at 2:28?
Slaytounge “in the wrong-“
Anybody knows where that riff's from?
improvised.
holy moly
Anyone can make a riff on spot the reason its heavy cause its on drop tuning.
True... Minor key on drop... lol.
I just saw a video of Key Modulation ... I lost my soul. I am in love with theory but dont think have gone that deep in yet.
But can he seamlessly change between tejano, country, rock, and metal?
Like my bass playing like i like my women..... warm, round and fat

Justin is great and all, but this man would've been the best in Infectious Grooves.
bolt-on? tought nt was his favourite and he would bring it always with him :P his first warwick i mean :P
He has a lot of Warwicks XD
Pretty sure his first Thumb was a BO, that's what he's playing in the Dig video, anyway. His fretless is NT for sure.

@@owencoverz8642 You're right, that is an NT, it's got the longer horns and 26 frets. Could have sworn it was a BO.
666th like :)
