Good Evening Sir, that is a such a sad situation 😢 I was thinking with all the hurricanes on the east coast that you had some rains form them 🤔 Be Well Sir and All My Best Prayers For All Of You Good Folks Cheers 🙏😇🍻
This was a shocker to see how dry it was there. With all the hurricanes and tornados using up all the water in the sky's, there isn't much left to share. Praying for you and the cows. God Bless.
Sorry to see you in this situation. We have been without irrigation water for two years. Got some rain and was lucky to fertilize the hay field. started cutting hay today. Hope you get rain soon.
I’d love to have about 10 cows but I’m going to stick with two so if things go sideways like you’re experiencing, I’m not in the jamb you’re in. Prayers for you all Scott and hope you have a blessed weekend my friend.
Same here Scott, we been in a drought here in central Mexico since 2022, the last normal rainy season was 2021, rainy season here starts in mid-May and lasts until mid-September, thats 120 day rainy season and a normal year we get from 90 to 100 days of rain, almost every day but since 2022 scant rainfall, 2022 had 32 days in the whole rainy season, 2023 41 and this year I haven't counted the days jotted on the calendar, but it seems it's more like 2022's. Hope you get rain soon Scott.
Stressful. Praying you get a nice downpour before you have to truck water. Great work on the ponds though. You’ll be in good shape when they fill again.
we had good water inspring and like yuou 2 storms that brought half an inch of rain in Aug & Sep. Grass is browning now and may not recover before winter.
Yepper...no rain in October for Ferris, Texas, my pond is just 6" of nitrates-toxic...my vintage well is pumping only 100 gallons every two days...17 head...6 are calves. Looking like wednesday next week rain starts. This feels worse, much harder, than 2022 and 2023's droughts...October is supposed to be the 1st or 2nd wettest-rain months...that little rain in September was not enough to replenish ponds and wells after the summer.
Hate to hear you’re dealing with this as well. It’s been a dust bowl at our place. Everything is covered with a thick layer of dust. Looks like west texas, just missing the tumbleweeds. So depressing.
Would you be willing to do a more in depth dive into your irrigation system for the pecan trees? Trying to see some up for myself but curious on depth of the line, space from the trees, time left running ect if possible. I’m in the same zone as you are and just curious what has worked and not worked before I spend the time installing a system
@@HeritageFarmsTexas I remember somebody honking. You should have stopped, but I understand, as weekend ranchers there aren't enough minutes in the day.

Thank you. It’s been a tough year. Other parts of the country are getting too much and we are getting none.

Thanks Mike. It’s the worst we have ever seen. Especially after a wet first half of the year.
We need rain bad…!
Yes sir. It’s serious. Hope you’re doing OK.

Thanks Ryan, it means a lot to me. It’s a very depressing situation at the moment.

Hello. Already have one. Go to my “playlist”, select the Pecan Playlist and you’ll see all of my pecan videos in one place. Good luck.
@@HeritageFarmsTexas Will do, thanks
It's been a crappy year.
Yes it has. Drove by your place the other day at 70mph and waved. Hope all is well.

This is the worst I have ever seen your ponds, they are literally gone! It's dry up here but not like that!
Thanks DJ. Yes it’s really depressing and serious. It’s the worst our family has ever seen.
